This place doesn't look great on the outside, but inside is a warm and welcoming casual place to share a coffee, homemade muffin, giant cookie, bagel sandwich, smoothie. Unique burl top tables and cozy seating, woodsy fun decor. The bagel sandwiches are delicious and perfectly prepared. I really like the lox/cream cheese one. The staff is friendly and welcoming and you can sit inside!

Very nice employees and excellent granola. The interior is set up beautifully and they have a nice outdoor patio.

This is such a sweet home-town coffee shop with delicious drinks and food. And the main woman who works there is incredibly kind and thoughtful. I love to stop here and enjoy breakfast when I visit HMB. My favorites are The Works sandwich with Ethiopia coffee or the Blue Avocado smoothie. Yum!

Many many gluten-free free options are available. Pastry and BAGEL 👍🏻

Cute place for coffee & breakfast. They make most of their baked goods & offer gluten-free & vegan options. Try the protein cookie, my boyfriend loved it. We both had breakfast bagel sandwiches. I had "The Works": choice of bagel, egg, cheese, tomato, caramelized onions & choice of bacon, Turkey bacon, or ham. Best breakfast sandwich either one of us has had in a while. Highly recommend. Interior is charming & they have an outdoor patio with a trailer that has additional seating.

Bagel egg sandwich is particularly good--fresh bagel, fried egg, not quite sure what was on it, hummus and maybe smear of hollandaise? They also had vegan muffins granola etc. Relaxed seaside vibe, love the natural edge tables. Super friendly. Barista also the cashier, place isn't about speed but they kept everything moving

I come here all the time for breakfast and coffee. There's always great tasting seasonal muffins and scones. The egg sandwiches are really great! If you're not a fan of coffee there is tea and smoothies.

Was so happy to run into a peaceful place like this in an area full of tourists. The cappuccino is very very delicious. Smooth espresso with nice dense foam. Also love the interior design -- natural wood elements with a bit of industrial feel.

Oh man! Please don't go here! Very selfish of me but... I want this place all to myself! Yummy yummy yummy! Oh man show up early and experience the fresh pastries baking in the background, the aroma and Croissants that melt in your mouth. Seriously, stay away! I only visit HMB maybe once a month for church at Calvary Chapel down a ways from here. Ok, so I visit HMB for God, the ocean and Granola's! So Good 😇!

Nice vegan options (smoothies, sandwich, baked pastries). Food is not cheap but with high quality. The sitting area isn't very comfortable.

What a humble breakfast establishment. The friendly lady took our order and it was out promptly. Delicious oat milk cappuccino and Lox Bagel. A good experience overall.

Granola's Coffee House on Hwy 1 is a local gem. Excellent coffees and pastries. The elephant on the patio is just another reason to go over the hill to enjoy this great spot.

Very cozy coffee / breakfast shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Easy to park on the Tuesday morning when I went to meet my parents and nephew. Great matcha latte and lox bagel. Easy going servers. Will definitely try and go back to eat there or just grab food to eat near the water. Recommend!! They even have ‘Pup Eggs’ two eggs scrambled plain.

Clean and fun useful ways to reuse and recycle COFFEE BEAN BAGS! Delicious LATTÉ and dynamite service; I asked the staff a few questions and the were knowledgeable about the places and also gave recommendation. I bought a coffee bean bag TOTE BAG, along with a latté and a breakfast cookie loaded with protein and antioxidants and other healthy stuff! Bravo 👏🏻 Bravo 👏🏻😁😃🌙

Everything was great here. We had a waffle and a veggie out bagel, which were both delicious. Atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly.

Yum!! We came in for the bagel sandwiches and they did not disappoint. We will definitely be retuning for more of those. The coffee was alright, a pretty light blend in our opinions, but still good, lots of fun and unique flavor options. We really liked how customizable the bagels are, and we came closer to the close of the shift and they still had enough bagel flavor options available.

Their bagels are perfection! Wow! I had a The Works with bacon on an everything bagel and it was so delicious. I had a latte on oat milk which was equally as tasty. My husband had the lox bagel with onion and capers and was very happy with it. The only downside is the fact that everything is served in to-go containers - even when you dine in.

Small coffee shop just off the main road/freeway. Had such a chill and fun vibe, loved the decor inside. It gave off a very elegant and “cool” feel. I wanted to just sit on the couch and enjoy my coffee as I stared out the window. Loved the specialty menu. Had a caramel honey latte and it was definitely a 10/10. Creamy, smooth, tasty, everything a coffee should be like. I came in right before they were closing so they didn’t have much pastries. Did not try the breakfast, but the menu looked like it offered a lot of variety. Overall, I recommend it!

Incredible latte. Super smooth from a great blend of coffee. Farmhouse bagel was excellent. The breakfast cookies had just come out of the oven while we were ordering and that was probably my favorite. All sorts of seeds, granola, and cranberries. It also tasted like peanut butter was in it. Loved this little gem.

Love this place!! The staff was super kind and courteous (I think the attendant’s name was Caesar) and the gluten free sandwich was amazing! Such a filling, delicious meal for an affordable price. I’ll be back!

Best coffee in town served with fresh baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and other treats. Cute place with nice service. Recommend breakfast and Americano, baked goods sometimes have interesting ingredients but in my experience are not as great as the freshly prepared food.

The cold brew and latte flavors were smooth, and our breakfast (oats and dried fruit) cookie was moist and with just the right amount of sweetness as to not overpower the coffee. I very much enjoyed their artsy, rustic, and healthy living community vibe. BTW, do not park in Kimmy Palmer's spot or you'll be served decaf, lol. See the sign :)

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is just incredible. Very pretty structural setup. Good prices for a speciality coffee shop as well. Highly recommend if you are in the half moon Bay Area.

Really lovely place to hang out with a book, a laptop or a friend. Beautiful tables made from natural slabs of wood, comfortable armchairs. The Veg-Out bagel sandwich was vegan, delicious and reasonably priced. Plant-based milk available, coffee was decent.

I’ve only had one cup of coffee here, but it was excellent. Surprisingly, Granola’s has a few vegan options as well. The only downside is being mere meters from the 1, if you sit outside.

got coffee, a bagel and cream cheese. The coffee was excellent. The everyrhing bagel was the worst bagel I had ever eaten. it was dry, only a few seeds on top. no cheese. tiny, tiny little thing. boring, not much cream cheese, very sad. The croissants looked much better. I really like the coffee though. staff are friendly. I really don't like criticizing their products, and staff seemed genually concerned and offered me a refund. I just hope they can improve their bagels in the future.

Enjoyed my visit to Granola's today. Ample parking, which can be difficult in HMB. Cute exterior, and quirky outside seating area too. My drink (iced latte) was good, and my husband enjoyed a delicious breakfast sandwich. They offer a pretty good variety of breakfast and drink options. Next time I'm in Half Moon Bay I will definitely be back.

Great little local coffee shop with baked treats, food, and decent coffee options. Awesome place to meet someone to catch up or do some work with tables and seats to choose from. Beware- closed Monday! My only feedback is that the air is very smoky sometimes when you walk in- it’s happened enough that I think it’s an exhaust equipment issue and not just a bagel burned by accident. Don’t go to Starbucks, come to Granola’s!

Great little coffee shop to come to before starting your day trip in half Moon Bay. Sandwiches are all very good and they have a lot of protein cookies and baked goods as well. Not dog friendly indoors but they have a cool renovated station wagon you can hang out in outside.

We stopped for a couple of coffees while visiting Half Moon Bay. Although very hot for a Capuccino, the coffee was good after cooling down. Unfortunately skim milk and no fat milk had sold out by 9am on a Saturday. There was also just one barista making one coffee at a time, so be prepared for a wait. ☕

The drip coffee didn't have much of taste. The bagel was regular and fine. The veg scramble was hot and fresh and without any salt though and I already drove off with the bagel sandwich in the box. Oh well The bathroom was neat and clean and they have nice simple decor with lots of elephants.

Service was horrible. Every person coming into the place got their coffee and food before us. We ordered a classic ham, egg & cheese breakfast bagel which mysteriously took 45+ minutes. NO Exaggeration. My gf is a 28 year local and said she never recalls it being this bad.

S
Sheen

They seem to understand what you order but they give you whatever they want. People working there are a bit unprofessional at delivering orders. The quality of the coffee has gotten worse and not hot. Even when you ask for extra hot. It’s a cute place but The place needs a better air circulation. You leave the place with the kitchen smell in your hair and clothes. Great ambiance and people though.

B
Branda DesChamps

I really want to love this place. It is so cute and has such a great vibe. The people that work there are nice although a bit stressed out. However, the coffee has been terrible the last couple times I've tried it. I literally had to toss my entire cup of coffee because I couldn't even choke down more than one sip. This is a great place to hang out and grab a snack while enjoying the atmosphere, but I highly recommend steering clear of ordering espresso.

The bagel was the worst I’ve ever had. The texture was bizarre like cardboard and the taste was horrid. I ate the smoked salmon which was good but the bagel needs work. Staff was not friendly and no one wore masks when I was there. They have some outdoors.

This place looked so awesome which is what made it so disappointing. The oatmeal was the only thing we got that we finished but come on, oatmeal is really hard to mess up. Add to that the fact that everything we ordered came out minutes apart so that the first thing had cooled before we got the last second to last thing. And we were a party of four. The last thing we ordered was a waffle and it never showed up. After three trips to the counter to pick up other things I went up to check on it and they told me they were out of batter so it had never been made. Possibly dodged a bullet on that one of the waffles are as poor as the quiche and coffee. On the plus side, all the photos on the wall of people doing gymnastics are pretty awesome (which is what earned the only star). if that and a bowl of oatmeal is what you’re looking for this is the place for you.
