Always fresh, always good. For breakfast get the sportsman. For dinner get the wings, or the meatloaf dinner.
TOP NOTCH PLACE! Small and home feeling. Also get a great meal when I go up that way to fish. Staff are really nice and chatty. Locals are the same.
Very nice experience, would definitely come back. I had the "Tuna Melt" on rye. It was perfect! Others in our group of 7, ordered a large "Meat Lovers" pizza, it was amazing. They also serve breakfast all day, two in our group got "Blueberry Pancakes" and the pancakes were about the size of the plate
My family and I stopped by on the way of our travel to Canada and the service was exceptional. The server was very nice and friendly, would definitely recommend.
We usually go to Roscoe diner on the way up to Binghamton, but it was very busy so we decided to try circle e. The food was great and the service even better! Kristina was wonderful and great with my kids. This will be our new spot on the way up to Binghamton for sure. Glad that we stopped here!
I'm 44 and started to come to this diner when I was about 5 years old, with my grandmother. Still love this place, and now I got to bring my son here. The food was good but the staff was a little on the lacking side. Took a very long time to bring some bacon, eggs, and breakfast items to our party. But other than that, it was good.
Don't let the outside fool you, this diner has fresh and delicious food! They have gluten free options (waffles, pancakes, bread and pasta). The pancakes were so light and fluffy I had to ask the server if she was sure they were gluten free. Generous serving sizes too. My dining partner got the turkey club on rye bread. Delicious sweet tea. It's a small place so service is slow and they try to turn tables fast. Only disappointment was we got our bill too quick and didn't get a chance to order dessert!
I love this place. Not to small, not to big!! I visit for breakfast! I recommend the "sportsman". It's made with toast, home fries bacon, eggs, sausage and French toast. A true balanced breakfast!! If you do visit.... ask for Taylor. She's the best waitress in the place!! I'd you do visit, I hope you enjoy the food as much as I do!!
Great little stop on our New York road trip. Circle E had yummy food, friendly service, and that classic diner atmosphere. Recommended if passing through the area. Worth the drive from the interstate. This cute little river town seemed like it had a lot to offer adventurers and was definitely off the beaten path. Adorable old town, would definitely like to visit again.
Food was delicious and service was very good. Fresh food and nice server. I would have given a 5 star but the bathroom needed a lot of cleaning. One of the stalls was filled with toilet papers inside the toilet and the water looked like it will overflow. The other stall, you couldn't close it. The walls were dirty in the bathroom.
Family-operated serving wholesome food, including Italian dishes. In the rear room is a cute clock which on the hour chimes "Let It Be" by the Beatles. In the front section are booths and a countertop. Clean bathroom and parking for about eight cars. There are a table and chairs for dining al fresco.
The restaurant was not busy at all. The waitress that I saw did not come over to greet me at all. She was talking to some of her customers in a booth for 10 minutes and then "went out of her way" to rudely say to me: "You just sit there". Finally, a different waitress came to my table. I ordered hot tea and a Feta cheese and spinach omelette. The cook was not skilled. The eggs were NOT fluffy and creamy and the omelette was pretty tasteless. My waitress asked me if I wanted more hot water for my tea and I said I would have another cup of tea. She forgot the tea. 20 minute's later she said: "Oh, I forgot your tea". I usually don't say much but I did respond by saying: "Yeah, I wonder what it would be like in here if it was busy". They did have strawberry shortcake on a biscuit and that was really good. I should probably have given 2 🌟🌟.
Typical diner fare in Hancock NY. I had dinner there and breakfast the next day. When you come in there is a sign that says wait to be seated but there is no one there to acknowledge you. If you walk 1/2 way back into the diner someone will seat you, otherwise you will be standing for quite some time. Food was good (dinner okay and breakfast good) and service was timely and friendly. Lots of locals using salty language so I wouldn't bring my children there. Overall fine for the area and I would eat there again.
My wife and I stopped by the diner after a long day. When we arrived, we initially wondered why we didn't get someone to acknowledge that we are waiting to be seated. However, we later learned that there was only one person serving, and there were several large parties. So, the wait was expected. We shared the fried chicken dinner with french fries and a small house salad. The fried chicken was well deep fried, maybe even too much, and was a little dry. But, the breading tasted good. The salad was fresh however the onions were a bit overpowering. The french fries were good. Kathy, the server on staff, did a great job of handling all of the people that were in the diner at the time. She was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere didn't seem like a diner at all. In fact, looking at the menu items on the walls, it appeared to be a pizza place. However, when we got the menus, it was clear that they could serve a wide variety of food. All in all, it was a good experience even though we had to wait longer than we would normally expect to be served.
Although not welcoming at first, our waitress seemed to become a bit more pleasant as we ate. Portions were ample, but when presented with our bill everything was more expensive than listed on the menu. 😡The explanation for this is that “everything is getting more expensive and it says on the menu that prices are subject to change “. Restrooms are clean and well stocked.
We've stopped here occasionally over the years. Last night was the worst service we ever received. There were only 2 other customers in the restaurant. Our waitress sat us and asked for our drink order to which I said I need just a minute. My husband and I quickly determined our drink order and meal order but the waitress didn't come back. She stayed at the counter talking with two customers who had already placed their order for take out. My husband and I almost left but then the other customers got their take out and they said their goodbyes. The waitress came over and took our orders without acknowledging ignoring us for over 15+ minutes. We both ordered breakfast. My husband got bacon and sausage with his meal and has been up since 2am with severe abdominal cramps and diarrhea. So on top of poor service our Valentine's day will be spent at home dealing with food poisoning. Sadly, our tradition of going to Circle E Diner has ended.
Took about 40 mins to get our food, not a big deal..I got the sportsman breakfast bacon was extra crispy way over cooked eggs, toast, homefries were cold and the homefries I took 3 bites and every bite had half cooked hash browns.. would not recommend
After I ordered with my fiance, they came back to me 15 minutes later telling me they didn't have what I wanted. Then tried to push something else on me. The waitress Christina gave no apologies, charged full.price for my fiancee's meal and full price for my drink, again, no apologies when I paid, I made no scene and I will never go there again. I work full time in that town and I will let everyone I run into about my experience in that dinner.
