Not much of a buffet. Small selection of sushi. A lot of different styles of chicken. The onion rings, fries and fried orka were soggy. I do like the seniors discount.

We took my daughter out to this restaurant for her birthday because we saw they had potstickers and a buffet. Service was just ok. Most of the food was just "ok." My husband had a lot of the seafood options, which he was not impressed with. He thought some the seafood options might have gone bad. I only ate the meat and vegetable options, which were definitely better. The potstickers however, were a disappointment. I could not identify any meat in them and the dumpling skins were dry, which gave them more of a spring roll taste and texture. Overall, there were some good items to try where the food was fresh and well maintained. I might go back again, but only for certain dishes. Showing pics here of the items that were good.

I grabbed what I thought was a stuffed mushroom but it was the most rancid horrific oyster, and possibly the worst piece of food to ever cross my mouth. Selection is ok but food is usually lukewarm and mediocre.

Not good. Greasy and oily food. Everything tastes like old oil. The "calamari" was so over fried it was black and DRIPPING with oil. So many negatives. I do not recommend.

We found hairs (plural) in our food. after we complain to the waitress she tried to tell us it was not hair. iI was something they added to the broccol.

I usually give this place 5 stars but today with the presence of a large group the selection was poor and a majority of the food on the line was cold shame on management today 😕

My dad had a very disappointing experience here. While eating my food, he found what looks like a cleaning brush bristle inside the plate una cerda del cepillo de limpieza. He immediately let the staff know, expecting at least an apology or for the plate to be removed from the bill. Unfortunately, they didn't offer a discount, didn't comp the plate, and didn't really take responsibility for the situation. Finding a foreign object like this in food is unacceptable, and the lack of response made it even worse. I hope management takes food safety and customer concerns more seriously in the future.

My family and I came to this restaurant today. For the first time and I must say that it was a very disappointing experience. I had raw meat on my plate. Could not chew it correctly. Everything tasted slimy to me. The food has no taste very limited side dishes for the price. As a senior citizen, it was way too high. My daughter could not eat anything in that place. But French fries, the salad bar mind. You had no Taste whatsoeverThe lettuce was white dough and stale and had like little animals crawling around.I will not recommend this place to anyone.If I could rate it less than a one star I would.But will never be returning to this place again.And i'm not even from harlingen, i'm from mcallen, and I saw it on the online, so I thought I'd try it out, but worst ever experience.I've ever had in a chinese buffet restaurants. I should have seen the reviews before. I went into that place which I didn't check it out. Until we left the place and was very disappointed. And I looked it up and sure enough. There's other people with really bad reviews. If I would have seen these, I would have never even stopped at that place.

This place is horrible, they have like 20 chicken dishes that all taste the same, in the same sauce. Everything is so dated and smells like old carpet. The food is bland, runny sauces, white lettuce, cheap salad. They sit you by the window when the windows are so smudge and dirty. The whole experince was gross, and to boot, I paid 17 dollars for a drink and a lunch.

Unfortunately, my experience at Great China Chinese Restaurant was disappointing across the board. The food was served cold and lacked freshness, which immediately raised concerns about quality. The selection was surprisingly limited for a place that markets itself as a Chinese buffet, and what was available did not justify the high price. Service was equally underwhelming. Our server was inattentive throughout the meal, and the staff in general seemed disinterested and disengaged. There was no sense of urgency or hospitality, and it felt like customers were an afterthought. For the price point, I expected much better—both in terms of food and service. If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others looking for a quality dining experience.

This place was absolutely disgusting. All food was cold. None the less son got RAW Chicken. Picture will be attached with this review. Brought it to the managers attention and she was like “ok well I’ll notify the cook.” Asked for a discount and she is like I can give you 10% off. The ln they bring us the bill as we were done no one wanted to eat after that. The bill had 1 plate reduced 10% which I thought was unfair as it was my son’s first and only plate. I asked for it to be removed from the bill and the server got al rude that they have cameras and can look on the cameras to see if he ate anything other than this raw chicken. So now they calling us liars. Just to make it be known left the restaurant upset and hungry. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
