Cool bartender. Cool vibe and good beer!!
Had a blast at the sports bar catching an NBA game! The array of big screens at this place is mind-blowing – perfect view from every angle. The atmosphere is electric, making it an ideal spot for game nights. Cheers to a sports haven with top-notch vibes!
This is where I go because I like to be out but low key. The drinks are made well and not over priced for no reason. Made just the way a dive bar makes them...Stiff and unpretentious. Pool table, Tv's, Ami music. The place is family run so it never gets out of control because they won't allow it. . I am very happy if i never see any new/ old faces there, but for any one looking for a spot to chill and be yourself, try this place.
Much enjoyed my visits to this bar. A lot of the people who come here are regulars, the man running the bar most nights is really cool. They have pool here and a variety of beers. They also recently started carrying some craft beers as well which is nice. Will certainly come back by. Cheers
Best bar in town, hands down. If you want 10/10 service and bomb Moscow Mules, look no further. Take my word, I'm Canadian. Also don't go to Dirty Birds, unless its before the trash security shows up. You're welcome.
This place is awesome good prices on tap beer. the bar tenders are awesome that's my favorite place to go after work and there's aways 4 tvs playing different sport channels. Good place to go and you want great service and meet new people
Best bar ever! Great service! Good times! You can order food right next door. Great burgers. I even bought a beanie to take back with me to Washington
They've done a good job of getting rid of the riffraff that used to be prevalent at this place. It's actually a decent place to grab a beer now, and the bartenders are pretty friendly now, too (had problems with bartenders that were hitting the pills and/or sauce too hard before. Now things are better). They could use some heavier beers like a stout or something high ABV, but hey... maybe high ABV should stay out of Downtown Hayward for a reason. The clientele I've seen the past few times I've visited were college-aged or slightly older. Plenty of TVs for watching the games, and they'll even hook up the sound system to the bigger games if there are enough people there for that reason. All in all, give it a shot if you've been avoiding it due to its history. It looks mostly the same, but the scum has been cleaned off and it's a nice place to go, now.
Suitably divey. A nice place to read a book and ignore your fellow humans. Decent prices on pints, served in ~ frosty ~ steins. Not much on tap, but generally decent choices. Wide selection of booze.
Quite possibly one of my favorite bars in Hayward. It's a neat hole-in-the-wall with all sorts of odd decor hanging around (old beer taps, signs, antique model cars, beer steins). They'll commonly have sports or music playing with a pool table in the back. Fair prices, their bartenders make some great mixed drinks; most notably, their bloody mary's & moscow mule's. The staff is great and the regular crowd is amusing if you're up for a conversation.
I used to be a regular at B Street bar but now I found the Stein to be pretty cool bar I go there every now and then to meet new people especially single women no I am a single gentleman see you ladies there Big D kiss kiss
5 stars to balance the 4 stars out. Nice place, goes down on Tuesday and good food for fair prices, these days. Would comr again.

Cool little dive bar. The have a great collection of beer steins on the ceiling!
Cool dive bar! Went after work for Birthday drinks, The red haired bartender was nice. Good chill vibes
This is a nice, humble dive bar in downtown Hayward. Parking can be an issue, as only street parking is available. Clean bathrooms, pleasant bartender, and respectful patrons. Great for watching football on Sundays!
Dropped in randomly on Halloween on my way home from work. Had dressed up - hello, HALLOWEEN. Thought I'd get a Zombie, but they didn't have all the rums for it. Had a Sidecar (or 2) instead. Tasted great & I got to watch Nightmare on Elm Street with some cool other folks, who were unfortunately NOT dressed up. But it was all good. The only reason I gave 4 stars was bc I couldn't get a Zombie. Not bc of the bardude or anything else. I'll go back again, for sure.

Dropped in for the first time after the Latin Jazz Festival in downtown. Had one beer to check out the place. Long bar up front with 3 TV's, bar pool table in the back. A decent selection of beers on tap. Will definitely stop in again and will update my review today its rated as average neither good or bad.

Been going there over 25 years . Went in with my buddies on 1/2/2025 around 11 pm .We waited for 5 minutes with no one at the bar and then bartender with the beard and no hair walks over and is staring at us with no greeting and looks at us like we needed to apologize to him or something. Got a drink and then went over to the jukebox and paid to play some songs . The dude takes the remote and turns off the jukebox. We just walked out . I mean if you don’t like your job just got get another job or if your a big shot and own the place or something then serve and treat everyone equal besides your few friends. This is a public business in downtown Hayward and not a private member club . The bar has a lot of potential but maybe they are laundering money because unless you know them you are not welcome in there. If you want to have a good time and be treated normal go to buffalo bills, the bistro or the funky monkey .
The bar is locked with the bartender watching tv inside during business hours on a Saturday. Open the doors when you say you do.
