Dry Creek Kitchen Healdsburg Reviews
Memorable experience! Chris guided us through all menu options & recommended choices tailored to our party of four. The three course dinner menu did not disappoint. The avocado, duck & poached Bosc pear from each course stole the show. The crudo, burrata & chai-spiced profiterole were favorites. Every course was timed perfectly including the table side preparation of the tartar. The pastry chef’s additions at the end of the meal were a perfect touch. Highly recommend.
Dry Creek Kitchen is a wonderful spot to celebrate an anniversary or any special occasion as a couple. We sat by the bar, which had a warm and friendly vibe, and the lady behind the bar was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs throughout the night. The food was superb—everything we tried was beautifully done, and it definitely left us wanting to come back to try more dishes. A great experience overall and highly recommended.
Finally made it back to DCK to experience the menu under Chef Shane’s direction. It’s exceptional as expected from a beloved local chef who left for the East Coast, but missed the produce and lifestyle and returned home to our benefit. The pork belly biscuits are a signature dish of his from his chalkboard days. A must. The squash blossoms were off the charts. Every main course was delicious. He’s known for his pasta so splurge on the carbs. Excellent wine list and service. I’m so glad to see Dry Creek Kitchen return to its spot as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Sonoma County and Healdsburg. Thanks to the team for a great night.
Thursday night dinner, reservations were easily made. Excellent service, speedy food delivery. We did the 3 course option but added some oysters for an app. The house made focaccia is FIRE (And unlimited)! Duck wasn’t memorable, but delicious. However, the steak tartare was so killer, with a killer presentation (table-side) We will certainly be back.
Fabulous food. Fabulous service. Treat yourself if you get the chance. The six-course tasting menu was superb: halibut, linguine with shrimp, scallops, lamb, filet mignon, and a tuxedo cake. They knocked the halibut and the scallops *out of the park.* Hands down the best part of the meal. The balance of flavors with the halibut crudo was spot on, and the sear on the scallops was flawless. It really does not get much better. Every member of staff was on point. Host, servers, bartender, bussers - everyone was attentive, engaged, and highly competent. Table service was choreographed and efficient without being obtrusive or ostentatious. At $150 per person, this is not going to be a regular occurrence, but it is a great choice for a special occasion. Very minor issues: *The space is a little tight and the noise levels are a little high. *The tasting menu wasn't really viable for vegetarians. *The tuxedo cake had the consistency of fudge layered atop cheesecake, with a slightly rubbery texture. The raspberry buttermilk sorbet was phenomenal, though. *The bread course was well-buttered, lightly herbed yeasted dinner rolls served in a skillet. And that's fine, but it was described as a focaccia, which is being... generous. (If you are not a bread snob, you will not care. It's still hard to complain about warm, fatty bread.) And none of these issues would even come close to preventing me from wholeheartedly recommending this place.
I booked a last-minute reservation with an open table app. They have an option of 3 course or 6 course meal. I chose clam chowder, liberty duck, and sorbet ice cream. Their food was so awesome, and the portion is super generous where i have to give up some dessert as i was full at the end. The waiter, Stewart, was so kind and attentive, which made this dinner experience wonderful. I will definitely come back here if I come back to healdsburg next time.
Jason mixed us up some outstanding pre-dinner cocktails with a smile along with some stellar apps. The inventive spiced maple old fashioned and perfectly balanced lavender lemon drop martinis were artfully served along with tender shrimp dumplings and creamy burrata toast-WOW! We had so much fun hanging at the bar with Jason that we can back for dessert and more cocktails! The chocolate peanut butter bar was crunchy, yet silky & delectable! Thanks to Jason and the whole team for a memorable experience!
Marie and Josh's Engagement Party was a Hit!!! I know I could be biased but, as a guest on the other side of the bar, I got to enjoy the high level of food and hospitality of Hotel Healdsburg and Dry Creek Kitchen. Alyssa Cox (the Catering Manager) is very helpful and informative. Call her up for any events! Pastry Chefs, Taylor and Karah went way beyond my expectations for cakes and sweets. They are truly talented! Stewart and Candis provided outstanding service and hospitality. I didn't have to worry about a thing. This was an excellent experience! Here are a few pics. Enjoy!
A very high end and memorable dining experience. The food was stunning, the service top notch and the sommelier was beyond wonderful in helping choose a fabulous pairing for our dinner and sharing info about the local region which we were not familiar with! Each dish was even more tasty than the last but the pasta and the duck were standouts. This was a wonderful experience all around and I’d so love to go back again in future travels.
We took our pre teen and teenager here for their first multi course dining experience. We’ve been here several times as a couple but to bring our children and for them to enjoy every bite- was next level. Thank you Courtney for excellent service and the Chef and culinary team- every single bite was deliciousness.. Thank you for a lovely meal and experience.
Overall experience is always wonderful... One of my 3 dishes was 'tired'... the crudo had a strong older fish notes on some bites. A squeeze or 2 of lime and some EVOO masked that other wise the meal and service was excellent... Always a pleasure to visit!
Appetizers and drinks were excellent. Main was not great, tomahawk was somehow medium rare, as we asked, but tough. The side potatoes were so salty I couldn't tolerate (but im not a huge salt fan). Limited dessert choices, but the waiter did give me some small ones when I want something they couldn't provide. Energy is really stale here, very impersonal wait staff which seems very purposeful.
Three-Course Menu | \$83 Service The staff was attentive and gracious — they handled the salad issue professionally and made an effort to make things right. They even comped a glass of Donum Estate Sauvignon Blanc, which was a thoughtful gesture. Ambiance Perfect ambiance. The space is beautifully decorated, warm, and inviting — a lovely setting for a relaxed, upscale dining experience. Bread Service Light, fluffy, and a perfect blend of flavor and texture. A great start to the meal. Margarita Perfect — refreshing and well-balanced. Preston Strawberry Salad eco terreno greens, Preston radish, feta, hazelnut Disappointing. The strawberries looked bruised and unappetizing, which threw off the whole dish. I mentioned it to the staff, and they kindly replaced it, but it must’ve just been a bad day for strawberries. I didn’t eat it, even though the dressing was amazing and hinted at what the salad could’ve been. Roasted Alaskan Halibut Grilled spring onion, fava bean, baby carrot, artichoke, Preston wild nettle beurre blanc Very delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the accompaniments were bright and flavorful. A highlight of the meal. Butterscotch Cheesecake Wild pecan crust, spiced apple, toasted oats Just okay. The texture was nice, but the butterscotch flavor felt distant — more of a suggestion than a standout. Paired with a 2oz pour of **Cossart Gordon Sercial 5yr Madeira (\$10)** which added a nice finish.
