We had lunch here, a party of 6. Firstly the staff were excellent attentive and helpful. The meats were delicious particularly the brisket and the pork belly. The sides were varied and excellent. We definitely come again.

Really fun BBQ place with outdoor dog-friendly seating! Lots of meats and sides. I would recommend the “2 x 2” platter so you can try two of the meat options and two of the sides. Highly enjoyed the cole slaw! They make their own BBQ sauce, and it’s not very spicy, which is nice. Plus, they let you specify how fatty you want the pulled pork, which is fantastic. Waiters are kind and helpful. Wonderful corn muffins and tons of beer options. Overlooking the downtown plaza so overall a convenient location but not much shade ☀️

Texan BBQ stamp of a approval! Very good BBQ, which is hard to find out here. I normally get a 2 meat combo plate with brisket and sausage. If your looking for something different try The Chopper! It's best bbq sandwich I've had anywhere. The staff was also super accommodating with our kids and made sure we got our orders in and out quickly. Big thanks to the staff for that! They also have an assortment of bbq sauces for those that want to add it. But trust me, it's good stuff and you won't need it

Finally made it here on the drive up towards Mendocino and had a nice BBQ takeout meal to sit and eat at the park across the street (since they no longer have their own parklet patio). The hush puppies were amazing and one of our favorites. The brisket was very very good! Definitely worth a stop if you're already passing through, but wouldn't go out of the way to have again. And the mac and cheese was good - more creamy than cheesy.

Great lunch spot right on the square making some solid barbecue that’s just right after walking around downtown. The sauces to pair with the meats were very good as well and we really enjoyed our meal. The only downside is it’s surprisingly pricey.

Service was excellent with welcoming, friendly and attentive attitude! Meats were good but with hardly noticeable smoke flavor. My bet is they are using pellet grills instead of wood. I suppose that's what one has to do to keep costs down -- which i understand. Their cornbread muffins were excellent! Another unique side dish was the sweet potato tator tots! They were amazing! Overall a good experience.

Seems portions are getting smaller. Service is amazing! Their pastrami sandwich special was presented and sounded amazing. When the sandwich came out, it was weak on the pastrami..which was unfortunate. Love this restaurant and have great respect to the owner. Please don't cut on portions. I bring my clients to this establishment and it's awkward when I talk up the experience at Kinsmoke and ultimately get ok reviews from my customers.

Very neutral experience for me. Average across the board: - Pedestrian food - Overly sweet sauces - Preoccupied service - Dirty restroom - Sticky bar top Location is solid, and prices pretty well valued...so bumps them over the hump to three-stars. I feel it be a better lunch experience.

We arrived about 7pm on a Wednesday with high expectations. The restaurant was busy both inside and outside and loud. The entrance isn't welcoming and was cluttered. OK, it's a BBQ joint and busy should be a good sign. We waited a good bit before our server came to our table. Ordering was quick and easy. Then, another long wait. I asked about our order. But, our server didn't know and sadly seemed uninterested. When our food was served it looked good. The plastic sauce cups cheapened the presentation. The St Louis ribs were OK as was the rest of our order. OK isn't what we were looking for. Wait staff appeared stressed and hurried. We tried the funnel cake dessert. Less funnel and more pretzel sticks with chocolate sauce. Maybe this was an off night. In the end, we left disappointed.

Ordered off DoorDash and we live five minutes away so the food was still hot when we got it. That’s was probably the only decent thing about it because the 1/2 pound burger was definitely not a 1/2 pound and dry and the veggie were barely holding in the burger like they threw it together. The fries were okay but the onion rings were burned and the portion really small. Just not worth the price, maybe it’s better in person but not from ordering online

It was okay. It did not WOW me like other BBQ places i been to. Server never checked on us while we were there. The cabbage slaw was awful. I ordered the ribs and it was not the best. Normally ribs is smothered in bbq sauce. This was not the case. If you really want an authentic BBQ go somewhere else. Portion was to small for the price. Brussels spouts was burnt.

Got take out and all I can say was it was not worth it on any level. Dry brisket and I mean dry, stringy, just bad. I mean if that’s not enough portions are small and the prices are high! Ordered large sides to go and the containers were barely half filled. Cornbread tasted like Jiff from the box. Even the baby back ribs were somehow dry and chewy. It’s not worth it: order a pizza or stay home and cook
