Jack in the Box Hercules Reviews
They are alright with me. Down to earth.
A family member constantly goes to this location on a specific day and time and the outcome is always good. The employees are nice and friendly. Food preparation is ok. Restaurant is clean and fast service.
Drive thru takes a very long time but food was amazing.
Good food, service is excellent during the morning shift. I just like my fries fresh. Not Luke warm. In the lunch or dinner time.
I don't know how one visit to this place has the hottest food and the next visit you'll wait ten minutes for them to serve you cold fries and not give you everything you ordered. They are consistently the slowest fast food place. And I can deal with that if they always served hot fresh tasting food. But what am I waiting on when you clearly didn't cook the food recently?
Ordered food from drive thru. This location made a bad decision and had an extremely pregnant employee work the window. She was unable to hand over food or change from transaction. On top of that, I noticed some of my food was missing once I was 4 cities away. I had to drive back to get my missing food. Only 1 in line me and it took over 12 min for someone to help me inside. Not to mention cooks down to the janitor was so grumpy. Just mad at the world! Omg! Terrible experience!
So I ordered a chicken club salad at drive thru and when I got home to eat it I noticed something was missing from the salad and so I looked up the salad on the jack in the box website and saw that this salad comes with iceberg and Roman lettuce. The salad I ordered only came with iceberg and so I called to ask why and the person who answered was really nice and helpful to explain that supposedly at their restaurant the owner doesn't include the Roman lettuce as on the website but I asked why if that's how all Jack in the box restaurants are suppose to work and the person on the phone explained to me that the owner of this restaurant is an independent owner and does things different. Well I gave it 3 starts because of the kind helpful answer of the man who took my call, but not because of the salad being good. I will not be ordering this salad here again .
The service was very slow....went to order inside the store and only one customer was ahead of me. The order was one of those promotional boxes that are advertising at $6.00 each. Well, the very first thing that went wrong was that the cashier told me that the price on any of the boxes in the promotional picture was of $8.00 not $6.00. She then took the order because I accepted the new price. 10 minutes after the order was not ready yet. So, I went to the front and I asked for my food. She stated that was not ready yet. I asked to put the box to go since I had a sudden call for work. I definitely will not be back to this particular store in a short time term. I want to see if things change around in few weeks. Good luck getting prompt (fast) service at this location.
It’s always something here. 8 out of 10 times I get an attitude just ordering. This time I literally just left and part of my order was missing and of course I don’t know until we get home. My food. I’m not going back. I’m exhausted, don’t have time, and now beyond annoyed. Oh and not too mention I was sitting there in drive thru waiting and she said that was all the order, you have everything. Apparently I didn’t. 🙄 Don’t have money to just lose. Ugh!
The drive-thru has a terrible audio system. The staff can't hear someone speaking with a normal speech level. Not the first time that I've experienced it.
I don’t get this Jack in the Box. At night, it appears they take an order at the drive thru, then cook that order, give it to the person that ordered it, and then takes the next order in line. Why do I think this? Because as I write this, I’ve been in line for 22 minutes. There were three cars in front of me. Two have gone through. The third car is at the ordering screen and has yet to give his order. He pulled up and I heard the worker say “hold on” about 8 minutes ago. It would literally be less time to leave and go to the Jack in the Box in Pinole Valley one stop over, but there’s a car in back of me so it’s going to be a nice round 30 minutes before I reach the ordering screen. It’s been like this for a while now, and the most curious thing is why I come back here thinking it’ll be different next time. Ahh. I have reached the screen and was told to wait one second. The person there didn’t turn off her mic, so I can hear her talking to herself for the last couple of minutes. Dear Lord please send a giant meteor to hit my car. Update: the worker told the person in front of me at the pickup window that “the guy just quit”. It appears there really is just one person here. Is this place constantly understaffed? Anyway, we arrived here a little before 2 am and it’s now 2:38 am and we haven’t given our order yet. 2:41 am. We have reached the pickup window. There are two people. They repeated back to me what they thought I ordered and did not get a single part of my order correct. Attempting to correct this. 2:44 am. They asked me to remember what I saw on the ordering screen behind me. Problem: they asked me to pull up to the pickup window before all the items I ordered were on the screen. They still haven’t started making our food. I have no idea what they were doing for the last 2-3 minutes. This was the last straw. In 45 minutes the Hercules Jack’s have filled just three orders. We have a mean suspicion that whoever is left working here are not cooks and are trying to figure out *how* to cook. I’d probably admire their effort more if the concept wasn’t so terrifying. We have decided, after a little over 45 minutes in line, to leave without completing our order and go to the next Jack in the Box 3 minutes away. I don’t know who owns this Jack’s franchise but corporate seriously needs to take this back.
Tue 12/26, 445pm (drive thru). No tacos and no butter milk (😒). I ordered a sourdough Jack and 7 piece jalapeño poppers. The sandwich was fine, but the poppers were a mixture of freshly fried and refried. The refried ones majorly sucked and were a waste of money. Do I need to request a freshly made order so I don’t get served recooked ones? What a disappointment. Not sure that I can continue to gamble money at this location. Best location thus far is in Union City (by the freeway).
I've been visiting this Jack for years and really had no issues until recently... The drive thru employee needs a refresher course on welcoming and speakly clearly. The young man (You with the nose ring) needs better people skills. Please train him. I ordered 2 tacos and they were cold and the cheese tasted like it just came out of the refrigerator. Those issues can be fixed. Hopefully this doesn't happen again. 🌡️🌮
I only ordered the mini tacos. I was asked several times about the sauce. I wanted the avocado sauce. It was on the order window correctly. Then at the pick up window, he asked again. I ended up with taco sauce packets. The service was also very slow. McDonald's gets thru 10 cars in 6 minutes. It took JITB 10 minutes for 3 cars.
I pulled up to the drive-through and a man answered. I’ve ordered from him multiple times and knew he wasn’t the friendliest person. I asked for an Oreo shake, which then he chuckled and said OK and pull up to the window. But when I got to the window, he said “unfortunately, no” and then kept on repeating that he already filled the machine up. I’m not sure what that meant and I don’t think he did either. It was very apparent that he was lying. I just said OK and thank you and drove off. I’m usually the type of person to avoid conflict and let it slide, but I wasn’t having a good day and was looking forward to this.
Came through the drive-through only car was us . The food overcooked the window worker was arguing with another staff member . Couldn't really understand us when we placed the order.. Typical side of the freeway service . Don't go
For a while, my experience has been horrible! My order is never right. Am waiting for my food for too long, only to get cold food.
There was only myself and one other car and it took almost 20 min. I only ordered two orders tiny tacos. Worst part was when I went to pay the guy at window said they didn't have a debit card reader so I would have to give him my card to swipe. I did and then he said my card didn't work so I would have to give him the info of the card he was holding so he could eunnit manually. I mean really your holding the debit card so why not already run it manually except of course if you wanted additional info to steal card numbers, ect. Then I asked for a manager because my card did work I had just used it at gas station and he said they didn't have a manger or any way to get hold of anyone a I've him. Seriously that's Rediculious. Amazingly the strip reader was able to read my credit card tho🤔Do better JITB. I get better serves just about anywhere else I go.
I'm so disappointed with this. We arrived around 7.30 pm on Sunday and waited at the counter for over 15 minutes, and nobody had a courtesy to say, "Just a moment, I will be with you." We decided to leave and find another place. We like this place because it is pretty quiet but customers' services are bad, even if you are short in staff with drive through customers, dine in customers should be acknowledged too.
The guy that took our order was VERY rude. Got our order wrong. Our chicken burger was hard. When we asked for breakfast, he SNAPPED at us. It’s a simple question. If you don’t like your job, THATS ON YOU! DO NOT take it out on me.
I visited the location at 3800 San Pablo Ave Bldg A, Hercules, CA 94547 this morning to grab breakfast on the way to my office and ordered a supreme croissant sandwich. Once I got to my office and unwrapped it imagine my surprise when I saw a half eaten sandwich neatly wrapped and placed in my bag. Not only is this unacceptable behavior but is completely unsanitary and a piss poor reflection of the employees which thereby reflect on the corporation. To make matters worse trying to give feedback on their site only results in multiple crashes due to a poorly developed script and the inability to even leave any feedback at all. Trying to use the phone number provided above is also absolutely useless. As a corporation you really need to take a step back and figure out how to improve not only your customer relations but also your profile as a whole.
