Antigua Bread Highland Park Reviews
This is one of the best breakfast restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life! I had the chorizo eggs and it was truly a 10/10. Wow!!!
L picked us up at the metro station and we had lunch with L at Antigua Bread – a Mexican restaurant. This time we had the highly recommended Chilaquiles con carne ($18.95) with chicken and over medium eggs as well as the Ultimate Antigua Breakfast ($18.95) with steak and sunny side up eggs. Ice Horchata latte ($6) accompanied our meal. All of the food were excellent. Portion was huge as well. Love it that the chilaquiles had some heat to it with all the aromas from the fresh ingredients while the steak was beefy and delicious. Enjoyed the well-cooked black beans too. Definitely an authentic Mexican meal as recommended. Yum! For the full review and details of our 5 months Round The World (RTW) travels, visit 2bearbear today!
I love this place, outside or inside seating, food is great and the Chi Latte is my favorite. Dog friendly and good vibes ✨✨✨
The food is great and the staff is so accommodating!!! It’s one of my favorite spots in Highland Park but doesn’t get talked about enough. You need to come eat here!!!
The food and coffee here is always top tier. I love the Antigua Breakfast, it's my favorite. I think they make one of the best iced oatmeal latte. I've never had a bad interaction with the staff, they're always friendly and try to accommodate, always showing decent customer service. I havent lived in Highland Park/LA for going on almost 5 years now, but everytime i'm in town I gotta hit up Antigua Bread for the brekky. 🤤
I got the Mañanero Desayuno! The best! The customer service is amazing! I love that Antigua Bread caters to the community and not just gentrification! The cafe ole is delicious!
Antigua Bread is one of those bakeries you almost don’t want to share because it feels like a local secret. Their fresh pastries are amazing—especially the conchas and croissants. The coffee is strong and smooth, perfect for a morning pick-me-up. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a mix of people reading, working on laptops, or chatting with friends. Service is friendly, and they always make you feel welcome. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get
They have delicious typical Guatemalan breakfast which is served all day! I have also tried their chilaquiles and they were good and surprisingly a little spicy. Their coffee is also pretty good. I love that they offer wifi and have available plus in the booth seats which makes it a great place to get some work done while also having a meal and coffee. The service has been great every time I’ve visited. The outdoor patio in the front and back offers a pet friendly space.
The service is great! I order the Ultimate Antigua and the meat is a little tough to chew. The Cappuccino is on point ! My daughter had the Chicken Avocado Burger 🍔 it’s good but the chicken could use less seasoning. The tables on the outside patio should get fixed as they wobble too much.
My sister and I went to have breakfast here before exploring LA and it was delicious! The restaurant was clean and not too loud. The front cashier was really sweet and recommended a few things to us. The coffee was delicious and so was the food! I had the caramel mocha latte and the Antigua breakfast. My sister had the breakfast Chapin. We ate it all! It was a great spot for breakfast or even lunch as they had outside seating too.
The experience here was simple and low-pressure. Staff interactions were polite and to the point. It felt like a place that runs on routine.
I’m all about supporting the small business and their food is good, but the resturant needs cleaning dude!! May be wipe your tables more often so they won’t feel dirty and sticky when you eat your food there?
I like this place for raspberry vanilla latte and some of their pastry. Music inside is good, I like most of tracks that I heard on my last visit here. Stuff is friendly and can make a recommendation to those who can't make a choice by their own :) Outside tables and sits are available, so you have a choice - to seat inside or outside the building. No parking (or I didn't noticed any). I would come back here, but I would not order any pasta any more)) will try something else. Bill is medium. Atmosphere is cosy. 7-8 tables are available. P.S. I forgot to mention about their check-in special! You can check-in through Yelp and get 1 free item of Guatemalan pastry!
Saw a photo for a fish sandwich. Looked great in the photo, not so much in person. Photo had nice looking waffle fries, but came with these skinny ones. Fish seems like a regular square frozen patty from the grocery store. Taste wasn’t bad, but definitely wasn’t a $15 sandwich quality. Had a latte with it, that was pretty good. Spent $22 overall with tip. If it would’ve been $15 total, it’d be 5 stars. But it was just average
Came in for the advertised AUTHENTIC GUATEMALAN food. Was definitely more of a Mexican menu, low selection of breads, and drinks were not it, (steeped flavoured teas with syrup).Disappointed 😔 was looking forward to it. Service was decent, prices fair but 100%NOT AUTHENTIC. Catered for a different crowd
Atmosphere is welcoming and dim lighting. Plenty of seating. Front and back. Merch being sold. Priced fairly. I got an iced Mocha Latte and it was disappointing. Latte was flat. Tasted like they used Mocha flavored syrup. Their pan dulce tasted semi authentic. Basked right but not much love, flavor wise.
