Thai Delight Higuera Reviews
Writing this review specifically because our server Mallory was so amazing!! Just had dinner there tonight to celebrate a friends birthday, she was super good with allergies, modifications, and other dietary restrictions and came to clarify as well. Super helpful when it came to explaining the menu, as well as helping us store and bring out the cake. Amazing food and amazing service, thank you again! First time here but we will be back.
Thai Delight Cuisine truly lives up to its name. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavor and beautifully presented. We started with the crispy fish and Mango Salad, which was refreshing and vibrant—juicy mango chunks paired perfectly with crisp carrots, red onions, fresh cilantro, and a touch of peanuts for crunch. The balance of sweet, tangy, and savory was spot on. The hurricane Tom Yum Soup was a standout, served steaming hot in a pot full of shrimp, mushrooms, herbs, and chili. The broth was rich, aromatic, and had that perfect kick of spice with a soothing citrus undertone. We also enjoyed the Fresh Spring Rolls, which came packed with crisp vegetables and paired with a flavorful dipping sauce. Light, healthy, and a great way to start the meal. Of course, no Thai dinner is complete without a Thai Iced Tea—creamy, sweet, and refreshing. It was the perfect complement to the bold, zesty flavors of the dishes. The service was attentive, and the portions were generous without compromising quality. If you’re craving authentic Thai food with fresh ingredients and balanced flavors, Thai Delight Cuisine is definitely worth a visit.
I had a great experience at Thai Delight Cuisine. There was no wait time, and the service was quick and efficient. I tried the fried rice, drunken noodles (my favorite!), and Tom Yum soup—all were very flavorful and satisfying. The spicy wings were decent, and the mango sticky rice was a great way to end the meal. Prices are reasonable, though portions are on the smaller side. Overall, a solid spot for tasty Thai food—I’d definitely recommend it to people in the area.
We stopped here and had a lunch special. They had a nice small outside dining area that was quirky with a lot of fun decorations. The size of the lunch special was a perfect amount, and it came with a salad and soup. We would definitely come back if we were in the area.
Pineapple fried rice was heavenly! Fast service and great customer service. We will be back!
Located in downtown SLO, this place was pretty popular. And no wonder. The food was authentic and tasty. Arrive early or make reservations. Otherwise you're in for a wait. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and they're pet friendly. We ordered their green curry, pad see ew and their special crispy pork and broccoli. Our fav was the green curry. Nicely spiced with little hot kick. Their broccoli was a little under cooked, but the taste of the dishes were good. This is probably the best Thai restaurant in the area for miles around.
My wife and I were extremely pleased with the food here. We've tried dozen of Thai place where we live, and all of them are good but never expected SLO to have such a delicious Thai spot. Totally recommend this place!
One of the best Thai places I have ever tried in California. It is a hidden gem. Must visit.
I came here for the first time a few weeks ago after attending the DTSLO Farmer's Market and it's one of the cutest Thai restaurants I ever had the pleasure to dine. The restaurant is centrally located on Higuera Street, but is inconspicuous with a small white branded sign. Upon walking in, there is a corner desk that triples as a host stand, waiting area and expo line. The space seems small, but really would feel more spacious if they played Tetris with the furniture. . We were greeted by a dark haired, friendly young man in a black dress shirt and he directed us to his manager to place our order to go. The menu has all the fan favorites: spring rolls, seaweed salad, mango sticky rice and of course the popular curry dishes. My bestie ordered the pumpkin curry with extra vegetables as her protein and I got the green curry with shrimp. Like most small town establishments, they close fairly early with the last order being placed before 9:30pm. As we waited for our food to be made, I used the restroom and toured the dining room. It was moderately clean and they have the most enchanting patio with heat lamps and paper lanterns laden on wooden vertical pallets around the tables, perfect ambience for a date night. . The curry dishes were warm, large and delicious. There's a slight spiciness to the broth and it also comes with a small bowl of white rice. It can easily be split into two servings depending on your hunger level, but I always slurp it down in one sitting. If you want hearty food on these colder winter nights, Thai Delight lives up to its name!

Hole in the wall. Ask for sitting in the patio we were surprised with the beautiful view. The food was great and service is very friendly. Price is good. Great place to chill and have great food after exploring SLO.
A huge thank you!!!!! They let us place a to go order 3 mins before they closed. We were all starving after a long drive from the Bay Area with a hungry toddler in the back. The food was excellent. We had a veggie noodle dish, pumpkin curry, and tofu fried rice. It was ready in 5 mins. We eat a lot of thai food and this was top tier. The staff was so friendly with my toddler too! Leaving with full stomachs and hearts. Thank you, Thai Delight! Especially the young lady with French braids 🙏.
Had an excellent experience here! The food was awesome and the ambience was perfect. We loved the patio seating. Our kids had a great time, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for families looking for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. We will surely go again when we visit again ! 😊
I almost don't want to say how wonderful this was because it will get too crowded. But that would be selfish. We went with friends and my husband went reluctantly because he is a meat and potatoes guy- doesn't really like ethnic foods. We decided to let our friends order since they had been there before. Most important was to have the food not too spicy. Everything came out just great! We had beef salad as a starter. A plus. Phad thai noodles with chicken-same. Thai basil chicken also spectacular. But the star was the mango tango fish. My husband doesn't eat fish-at all. Well, i think he's going to sneak out and get a whole one for himself! This was a white fish with a nice crispy shell and a mango chutney type side placed all over it. This dish is beyond incredible. We will be back!
Amazing Thai place in SLO. We ordered pineapple fried rice, exotic fried rice, drunken noodles, green curry. All of the items were made vegetarian friendly and were delicious. Highly recommend.

Some of the freshest Thai food we've had. Flavors were authentic and complimented one another. Service was fast and just plain enjoyable.

Amazing experience from the moment we walked in. The staff were very attentive and responsive, always checking in on us. We ordered Tom yum soup, green papaya salad, fresh heaven rolls, red thai curry, paradise fried rice and beef pleasing garlic. I would have to say the green papaya salad was super fresh, tasty and definitely sparked our appetite. The Paradise fried rice has so many components and the raisin was surprisingly a good ingredient to balance all the flavours. However, I didn't quite enjoy the beef pleasing garlic as I find it saltier than I would like. For dessert, we ordered mango sticky rice and fried banana with vanilla ice cream. What a wonderful way to end our meal. That mango sticky rice was perfectly warm and just had the right amount of sweetness. Overall, a great experience and would definitely come back here again.
Very generous with portions. The Tom-ka soup is great. Pumkin curry with crispy pork was off the hook. Mongolian beef was alright. Outdoor sitting was a plus.

Our family of 3 out of towners stopped by for dinner on a weekday eve. The food was good, short wait time and decent service. My wife pad that was ok but my fired rice was good.
Ordered uber and it came quickly. Food was average not great but also not terrible. Sticky rice portion was really small. Beef Larb lacked the citrusy/herbaceous flavor I’m used to. Green papaya salad was missing that fermented fish sauce. Mango sticky rice was very good.
Last night me and my wife decided to try out this re-opened Thai restaurant and placed an order online for pickup. We were given an estimate of 20 minutes to pickup so we left our home and were there in 15 minutes. We ended having to wait over 20 minutes for the food to be ready because as we got there the food was not yet being prepared. Once we got the food and came home it was average compared to other Thai restaurants in the area nothing amazing. I really do hope they improve their pickup system to be more realistic on when the food would be ready in the future.

The food is pretty good for the SLO area. However, the service leaves something to be desired. As a college student, I come here often and it’s always the same. They consistently forget about us, are slow, and never pick up the check. We always end up having to walk up to the counter because we’re tired of waiting. Come for the food but don’t expect much else.

Not sure what the hype is about this place! Food here is very average. I've been to many other Thai restaurants which do a much better job than this restaurant. Since we were quite unsure about what to order, we had asked for vegetarian recommendations from the waitress. They suggested Tofu Delight, Red Curry and Drunken Noodles. Tofu Delight: Very very bland. Sweet and Sour sauce on the side was bland too! Red Curry: Great Presentation. Looks very appetizing. But taste was below average. Kinda disappointed with the veggie portions. Most of the veggies weren't cooked well too. Drunken Noodles: Again, looks appetizing. Tastes pretty bland. We had asked for extra red sauce, and were offered packed red sauce curry packets. This is probably the first Thai restaurant which didn't offer fresh chili/chilli powder.
