Fuimos un grupo de 6 y hacia tanto tiempo no comíamos en verdad taaaan delicioso. Hay lugares donde comes rico pero la comida de aquí simplemente es de otro nivel. No creo en verdad exista otro lugar al nivel como aquí. Las chicas expertas y atinadas en todas las recomendaciones. La música 100/10 y todo el ambiente de adentro en eso místico de la época prehispánica. Pedimos chicharrón de camarón, brochetas de cordero, el taco de cordero es como barbacoa pero la mejor barbacoa que alguien ha creado, y los rollos vietnamitas creo eran. Pero las 2 tablas que pedimos una de mar y otra de tierra en verdad te harán replantearte si todo lo que has comido lo has comido como debe ser. Mucho mejor que varios restaurantes "michelín" de las grandes ciudades. Ah y el postre de chocolate con chile. Imperdible para empezar es de chile PERO NO SABE A CHILE, NO PICA, , no entiendo como lo hicieron pero hicieron al chile una espuma dulce qué ni se como describirla pues jamás había probado algo así. IMPERDIBLE ESTE LUGAR

Llevo ya tiempo en la Isla, pero nunca había visitado Lumma. Para ser la primera vez, me llevé una muy grata sorpresa! La comida es riquísima, al igual que los tragos, las diferentes cervezas artesanales y la combinación de sabores de los postres! Cristel fue muy meticulosa en su servicio, nos explicó todo con lujo y detalles e hizo que nuestra noche fuera impecable! Mi agradecimiento va también para Gonzalo por su hospitalidad, y claramente regresaré! Súper recomendable

Fuimos a este restaurante recomendados por una lugareña. Nos encantó el trato, el ambiente y la comida. La tabla de mar es una delicia, cada platillo más rico que el anterior. Precio algo superior a la media de Méjico, pero merece la pena cada peso que gastas. Lo recomendaremos sin duda

Nos atendio una chica llamada Micaela, la verdad muy atenta en todo desde el principio al momento de ordenar, habla muchos idiomas como español, inglés y italiano eso ayudo mucho a poder entender todos en la mesa y con buena actitud En 8 años nunca recibí atención tan personalizada y atenta, además los platos de diferentes variedades muy buenos y los vinos también, súper recomendado !!

Muy bonito lugar para comer en Holbox, la empanada de pulpo deliciosa y el pescado muy bueno! Un clásico en la isla para una noche he tranquila y agradable.

What a great place LUUMA is! We were there for dinner and we truly loved it. The location is beautiful, with ambient music that adds to the vibe but without being too overpowering. The food was truly exceptional, so many different flavours so well executed. Micaela who served us was another highlight, she treated us so well, she was so kind and recommended us great cocktails (do not miss the parmesan cheese and kefir ones, so unique). All in all, a pricier restaurant but truly worth the price. Do not miss it!

LUUMA will definitely be the the most expensive dinner my wife and I have in Mexico on this trip, but I would say overall it was worth it. It's a great vibe and the service is the best we've had in Mexico. She is vegan and I am vegetarian. We had a drink to start (Yahahual I think it was called or something along those lines). The ingredients indicated strawberry foam which it didn't seem to have, but the drink was still fantastic. We then had the vegan tacos to start. The filling is some sort of soy protein in a marinade and it's served in lettuce wraps. These were decent but didn't blow our socks off. We then shared the vegetable board which was easily a 10/10 and had us basically licking the wooden platter clean at the end of it. The roasted veggies in particular were fantastic as well as the hummus. My wife loved the Thai salad and I was seriously impressed by the mushroom medley. If you're willing to splurge a little this place is definitely worth it.

This is a wonderful break from the status quo, offering local cuisine inspired by maya culture. The appetizers and small bites offer a tasty prelude to the exquisite entres and boards. The sea board was phenomenal, with scallops, squid, daily catch and shrimp. The desserts were fantastic, chocolate ganache, passionfruit pie, and blue cheese chocolate dessert did not disappoint.

We were just visiting Nov 11-14 and we stopped in here every night during our trip. Rebecca was the absolute best! She gave great recommendations on the food and drinks we had there and also some nice local recommendations as well. Great food, cocktails, atmosphere, and of course bar service!

The food was delicious, however be advised the portions are smaller and price is more expensive, especially relative to other restaurants around the area. My party went into this restaurant expecting this but we ordered the croquettes, some drinks, and the sharing platter of meats. Would definitely recommend the croquettes and meats, and the drinks also tasted quite fresh! Friendly, attentive staff who tried their best to also move the fans closer facing our direction after noticing we were struggling a bit with the heat :) Thank you!

It is a great experience to have had our dinner. Very fine and great tastes. Croquettes are amazing, their pumpkin dish is also amazing. We got the sea board and each one of the pieces we tasted were amazing too. Highly recommended. If one day your path crosses Holbox, this is a must-come place for a great dinner experience.

Had an amazing dinner here! Our server Nino (don't hold me to the spelling) was very attentive. And they asked up front if we had allergies (which was good since my lady has an onion allergy). We started off with the octopus, and coconut shrimp appetizers, along with fish throat and chichiron appetizer. All were fantastic! Main course we did the whole fish, with the homemade corn tortillas (I am used to crappy US corn tortillas, and normally avoid. But they got me liking these!). Dessert was a chocolate ganache with rosemary bread chips, and a passion fruit ice cream and shortbread. Both of those were mind-blowing! I've continued to be super impressed with the culinary skills here on Holbox!

The food we ordered was great and the smoothies were delicious. I wish there was a little bit more in terms of options for food (we ate there for breakfast) but the atmosphere was 10/10. And I would definitely go back. Our waiter was also very friendly.

I would give this place 10 stars ! The service, food, and presentation atmosphere are incredible! The tapas were so delicious and had unique ingredients and wow's of flavor. The server made great suggestions and was very knowledgeable about each dish. Each dish was served on beautiful platters, the music and ambiance were fabulous! The deserts were so unique in their ingredients (blue cheese, olive oil ,etc )and flavors.

This place is nice, but it seems to aim too much at Tulum’s upscale crowd, which doesn’t really match the island’s vibe, in my opinion. The food is good and the dishes are refined, but it’s a bit pricey and feels more like a sit-down dinner spot that doesn’t quite fit here — at least not yet. I won’t give it a bad rating, because you can see the effort, but it just wasn’t really my vibe.

We actually stumbled across Luuma and wandered in, pre dinner... we just intended to sit a the bar and enjoy a drink and the ambiance. GREAT ambiance. Service was very attentive. Note a bit expensive for Holbox. The dining area appeared fairly full and looked good, we did not eat. Just drinks. Bar was full, which we enjoyed as you don't see that set up often in MX and the bar actually had peeps too actually sitting there at the bar 😅

I think the concept here is really amazing and fun. Lots of time went into curating the menu, both for food and drinks and there is quite a lot of funky stuff going on that many US restaurants may not dare try, so appreciate that. The garden was also so well designed and played out the overall experience here is amazingly chill and cool. With that, for the prices you pay to eat here one would expect all food to hit the mark but will admit the pumpkin dish did not. Sadly it was not fully cooked through so was basically eating raw pumpkin. The land was good, but also the lobster dumplings tasted kind of funky but they had this nice lobster bisque flavored sauce beneath to make it taste worthwhile. Would visit for a cocktail and to hang out but I think AMA is a much better choice in terms of food. Service was great!

El lugar es bonito y agradable para una cena, bien decorado y el servicio es bueno, estuvieron atentos de nosotros. Ahora la comida... no se pierden de mucho, probamos diferentes opciones y para el precio, definitivamente iría a otros lugares primero. Es más para postureo/foto, degustar pero no memorable en cuánto a su sabor.

A restaurant experience, good or bad, is made up of a several elements. Of course the food is most important but the general ambience and service matter greatly and this is where Luuna let's itself down. The staff were surly, disinterested and one even argued with someone in our party. They insist on using QR codes and don't provide simple old fashioned printed menus so they grudgingly gave us an iPad to share. Ridulous. Yes the food is inventive and delicious although the plates were small, so be prepared to dip deeply into your wallet if you have an appetite. 3 stars is fair given the food was very good but Luuna needs to redress staff attitude to make it a memorable and repeatable experience.

Elegimos este lugar porq se veía bonito pero lo que comimos la verdad no nos gustó, probamos unas croquetas que estaban muy equis de sabor y algunas pasadas de cocción y el plato fuerte estuvo bien pero para el precio y la porción no vale la pena, las bebidas si estaban bien.

Difficult and rude door staff. Tried getting in twice and even though there were empty tables, they were unwilling to be pragmatic to accommodate by adding extra seats to a smaller table. Staff at every other restaurant we’ve eaten at couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful, this restaurant is the polar opposite. Don’t waste your energy, go to Basico round the corner

De verdad pésimo servicio de las hostess, en especial de una. Según esto se llama Lili. Parece que quiere que les vaya mal. Llegamos y estuvimos esperando más de media hora por una mesa, éramos 6, a pesar de que el lugar no estaba lleno y habían varias mesas de dos vacías, que pudieron haber juntado para darnos una mesa. Nos hicieron esperar. Tenían una mesa de 6 sentadas a dos personas. Mal ahí, le sugerimos que si había forma de poder cambiarlos a una mesa de dos y a nada le daban solución, todo era no, tienen que esperar. Llego a ser bastante grosera la hostess con Isabel hostess con mi suegro. Se supone que las que están en la puerta deberían de ser las más atentas y de verdad nada que ver. Estuvimos a punto de irnos, pero era tarde y por ser semana santa todo lo demás si estaba lleno. Cuando nos sentamos la verdad mejoró muchísimo la experiencia gracias a la mesera, súper atenta, nada que ver con la hostess. Nos hizo varias recomendaciones y toda la comida espectacular. Los cocteles podrían mejorar.
