Otus Thai Kitchen & Coffee Hollywood Reviews
My friend recommended this Thai restaurant, and I was really impressed. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered Hat Yai fried chicken — it was very crispy and tasty. The crying tiger beef was excellent, and the crab fried rice was also amazing. The staff were attentive, provided great service, and were very friendly. I would definitely come back again!
Little hidden Thai spot with huge flavors and food. First time experiencing this place and also a Thai spot that serves coffee and breakfast items. This just solidifies more my favorite cuisine. Damn I need to go to Thailand. Anyways the waiter was so helpful and attentive. Portions are good and they didn’t have mango sticky rice but they had this egg and banana roti with condensed milk that almost made me faint. It was that good.
Food: For appetizers, we ordered happy belly and love triangles. The love triangles are AMAZING. It's BREADED crispy tofu. 10/10. The happy belly (crispy pork belly) was a little too hard for me (like the crispy skin part). Im more of a "buche" & grilled baby pork ribs fan (not offered here bc they're not thai dishes). Entree: I got the al la carte- spicy eggplant w/ tofu, @ requested mushrooms to be added. "Extra spicy". I couldn't feel the spice at all, so I asked for hot sauce, which they brought (i think sriracha and red pepper flakes). Food tasted fantastic. The other dish was pad see eew w/ beef i think? Setting: Definitely a date spot. It's "intimate" ie small-ish, dimly lit, candle on table. Noise level moderate (people talk kinda loud here). Most tables are 2 people seaters. There's one in the middle that can do 4, and an unused outlier on the side that could do 6-8. Also yes there is a bathroom on-site. Parking is in the Ralphs plaza, i recommend parking on the rooftop, its vacant w/ lots of space to park.
Outstanding! The service here is impeccable and the menu and food were perfection. Excellent for a mid week dinner or a fun Sunday evening pop in. Loved the fried rice! Delicious!
Excellent Thai food all around. The veggie tom yum soup had a great level of spice and tasted very authentic. The pad Thai and crab fried rice were also outstanding. Definitely a place I’d recommend.
Absolutely delicious moo ping!! So yummy and perfect balance of sweet, salty, spicy and sour. Cute vibes and friendly service too.
Great little cafe. Food has been excellent for over 10 years. They're breakfast menu is particularly good.
Do you like Thai food? Never tried it? Either way, this place is amazing and everyone should at least give it a shot. The quality in everything I had here is superb. Not only that, but the staff is incredibly attentive and accommodating. I have a lot of food sensitivities and always feel bad asking about the details, but here they are so nice and welcoming. Not only that, but my girlfriend loved it too and couldn't believe we hadn't come here sooner! 😁
If you’re into Thai food, you have to try the Crying Tiger at Otus Thai Kitchen in LA. The beef is super tender and grilled just right, and the dipping sauce has that perfect mix of spicy and tangy that makes you keep going back for more. It comes with fresh veggies, which makes it even better. The place has a chill vibe and friendly staff too. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Thai food in the city.
Authentic Thai eats including fresh pad Thai that was cooked over a wok with delicious flavors! We loved the matcha latte and bear coffee latte! We also had the best mango sticky rice today at Otus! Customer service was beyond amazing and we appreciated the staff providing excellent recommendations for us. Calming shop atmosphere in West Hollywood with a variety of of brunch options.
Just like a hidden gem. We ordered Kai-Kata, Steamed Basil Mussels, happy belly and Crab Fried rice. I forgot to take a picture of the crab fried rice but it smells so good. Everything is yummy. Love their attention to detail on food plating. Will come back to try other items on their menu.
I honestly just came here because they were the only place near my house serving Mahecha at the time, and that’s all I wanted. I walked in after checking the reviews, which looked pretty good. The only thing I’m a little disappointed about is the Matcha calamari. I was expecting some green calamari, but it turned out to be regular calamari. Still, it was pretty good! The pork bites reminded me of Colombian-style chicharrón, which was amazing. The fried rice was even better! I even ordered some food to go for later.
Decided to try something different for Sunday brunch and checked out Otus Thai based on pictures and other reviews. Wow, so glad we came here. The food quality and taste were amazing. I forgot to take pictures of the other items because I couldn’t help myself from just eating. I like to get pad thai at each Thai restaurant to do a comparison. I know each restaurant does it differently but Otus’s pad thai was one of the best I’ve had. Beyond the food, service was exceptional and very accommodating.
Friendly to go service! Good delicious even when reheated. Will return to try other dishes

Amazing food with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients! Happy Tiger and Rambutan Ceviche were outstanding. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

I have been to this restaurant about 8 times and they never disappoint. Hands down one of the best Thai fusion restaurants in Los Angeles. Their food is up to par with such authenticity flavor with dishes like Southern Fried Chicken and Crab Fried Rice. Along with their creativity , appitizer , Rambutan Ceviche with Shrimp, very beautiful in dish presentation with edible flowers and very refreshing to your pallet. For wine lovers, they have a variety of selections along with their knowledgeable servers who can introduced you the best paring with your dish. Save room for some desserts , their French toast is chef’s kiss. This place is also pet friendly just ask for patio at the back ( you can order a delicious meal for your furry pups too 😊)
Hands down my favorite Thai spot in LA. There are so many options in this city, but I come here specifically for their consistency in service and food. It feels like you’re eating a home cooked meal prepared by a good friend. Plus they serve breakfast all day! I can’t recommend enough 🫶🏾🫶🏾
Been coming here since they opened. It's utterly delicious. We've taken dozens of people here and everyone asks to go back, or makes the trek on their own. There's not a disappointing thing on the menu, though I truly miss the moo goo gai street noodles 🤤😢🤤😢🤤

This unassuming spot might be the best-kept secret for Thai food. The decor is minimalist to the extreme—practically nonexistent. But forget the ambiance, the food is where the magic happens. Each dish bursts with authentic, vibrant Thai flavors. Seriously, the taste is worth overlooking the lack of decor. Generous portions and reasonable prices make it a great value. The only slight downside? A mandatory 10% minimum tip. While tipping is customary, making it mandatory felt a bit off, I prefer to decide the tip amount based on the service. Still, the food is so good, I'd happily return.
Second time here. The food is delicious. However, the portions are very small for the price. Spicy Basil Chicken w/side of rice is $19, $24 w/ tax and tip, for a super small portion. I was able to finish the entire meal myself and still have room. This never happens at Thai restaurants for me. I’m usually contently full, leaving with an additional portion for later. The atmosphere is nice, it’s a cute spot for a date. However, not sure it’s a staple that I’d order from when craving Thai again. It’s too expensive for the portion size.

The staff was great. The place was clean but the food was not it. I ordered the Thai Basil with mild spice and chicken but it didn’t have that much flavor and the plate was not that appealing especially for $17. I haven’t tried their other food, which might be better but definitely will not order this one again.

Stooped by for dinner, tried the safe choice of basil chili chicken and Chinese broccoli with chicken. As typical with Thai restaurants, had to pay for the steamed rice separately as it is not included (at Chinese, Indian etc restaurants it’s always included). The food was below average, even for the safe chili basil dish. The Chinese broccoli dish was outrageous: they were feeding their customers with the stalks, barely any broccoli florets check out attached photos. Don’t they know the stalks go in the garbage?! Stalks are considered waste especially at a restaurant at $20 a dish. Service was average borderline inattentive.
