Tried the temporary deep dish slices. The pepperoni one tased like a homage to the vintage classic Pizza Hut, this is a compliment. The veggie deep dish slice had feta, hot honey, and basil. Great sweet and salty contrast. Happy hour pizza on its own is totally worth it. Greens pizza had a charred Smokiness that permeates the palate and works perfectly with the creaminess of the pizza. Crust was crispy perfection. Regarding service: staff has been rude in the past on the phone especially. Vibe: great indoor/ outdoor/ bar seating options. I like that they don’t cram tables close to each other.

Somehow I was expecting overhyped mid experience. Like why is this place booked out a week in advance? But turns out it’s actually fire. The quail is a must-try appetizer. 10/10 Their signature, pizza, was not the best pizza I had, but still dope!

Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was slightly dark and moody. Would recommend the bigoli pasta, the salami piccante, and the fried chicken milanese. Street parking but plenty of space!

I got the salami pizza with the hot honey! The pizza was delicious but the white sauce on top overpowered the whole slice. Keep in mind the portions are shareable size. It was still very good! The service here is also top-tier, from the hostess to our server. They have reservations and walk-ins.

If you haven’t been to Tiny Champions, you’re seriously missing out. This place is consistently delicious every single time. The food is always on point, the drinks are well-crafted, and everything is priced just right for the quality you’re getting. It’s one of those rare spots where you know exactly what to expect — and it never disappoints. The staff are super awesome — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They make the whole experience even better. On nice days, the patio is the place to be. It’s such a great spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal outside. One tip: make a reservation. This place stays busy, and if you don’t plan ahead, you’ll probably be waiting a while. Totally worth it, though. Great place all around!

Food is straight up both good and consistent. I have provided my review below for details. I would recommend ordering their plates and pastas. The Plates Braised butter beans: Super creamy beans braised in an onion, fennel, and celery based thick sauce. Garlic toum adds a mellow creamy garlicky kick along with a pickled spicy vegetable. There are heterogeneous regions of acidity that freshen up the dish after a few bites. The browned garlic croutons give a nice texture contrast and are exceptionally crunchy. Fried Quail: The quail is perfectly moist, seasoned, with an exceptionally crunchy crust. It is seasoned evenly with salt, pepper, and honey. There is a mild, but nice hint of spiciness. It is served on a bed of some kind of ranch-like dressing seasoned with dill, which adds a fresh dairy note to balance the rich fried meat. I like how the quail is completely deboned minus the drumsticks, it makes it so easy to eat. The Mains Rigatoni with Bolognese: I’ve honestly never eaten real pasta before, so this is my raw experience. Pleasant aroma of cheese and pepper. Rigatoni pasta is perfectly al dente with a nice bite to it. The bolognese is has a deep umami note, subtly buttery, and has a prominent beef and pork flavor with a hint of tomato in the sauce. Salami picante pizza: Super crispy, sweet honey crust with plenty of leopard spotting. Salami is plenty salty and the salty ricotta spots add a nice layer of dairy flavor. Dessert Chocolate layer cake: Hazelnut ice cream tastes similar to a ferroroscher with crunchy sweet inclusions. Served on a bed of caramel sauce dotted with candied kumquats and some kind of hazelnut granola. The chocolate cake is layered with between a tangy citrus cream. Strawberry ice cream(seasonal): Very soft and strong flavored strawberry ice cream with a jammy strawberry sauce. Rhubarb sprinkles add a nice layer of minty tart flavor that Cuts the sweetness. Creme fraiche adds a dairy flavor to the ice cream that isn’t too rich.

Fran was the best! The pizza crust is to die for. There is so much flavor in every dish. The Nordic Thunder is genius!!! If you prefer small, intimate spaces to enjoy time with friends and loved ones, this is the place to be!

Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food. We had the butter beans, bolognese, pepperoni, amaro cookies. Highly recommend everything, especially the cookies.

Got squeezed in during happy hour and were completely blown away! The pepperoni and cheese pizzas with hot honey were incredible, and the stuffed shells were so fresh and delicious. But seriously - DO NOT sleep on the butter beans! They’re an absolute burst of flavor unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Huge shoutout to Beth (Elizabeth M) for making our first experience wonderful! The music was also so good! If yall have a Spotify, drop the playlist! Tip: Street parking only, so book ahead and plan accordingly. Can’t wait to come back!

This is easily my top restaurant in Houston. The pizza is outstanding and never disappoints, and I always begin the meal with the baked feta because it is that good. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting, making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the food. Overall, it is a spot I keep coming back to.

We had to wait about an hour on a Friday night, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was incredible and the service was on point the entire time. The bartender made me one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve had in Houston. We even grabbed a pint of their hazelnut ice cream to go and it was the perfect finish. Tiny Champions is definitely worth the hype.

Totally forgot to snag a picture of the pizza. Which was fabulous and even better reheated at home. So random but true. Service was excellent and food was delicious. I wouldn’t get the feta app again as it just wasn’t warm enough. It was our second time trying it and it just misses. It’s full of flavor but not my favorite. The bread with it however. Spectacular. All in all a really nice meal.

Tiny Champions gets better each time. The cucumber salad is so refreshing and the butter beans is like crack. Not pictured is the spicy salami pizza and the dessert- Coffee ice cream with cinnamon sugar donut holes. Staff and waitress gave splendid service.

Wow! I have to say that I was wonderfully surprised. We had the pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. The sauce was very tasty and fresh. I usually don't compliment pizza sauce, but this one deserves it. The crust was also great. We had coffee ice cream sundae, O...M...G...! It was so delicious. The chocolate sauce was very smooth and complimented the coffee ice cream perfectly. The lil donut holes were so tasty. My only regret is that we only got one to share. Next time I'm getting my own sundae!!

Pork belly with lentils are to die for. The combination of flavors were just out there so much that this IS the go to dish to try. The pizzas are phenomenal. Something about their dough that stands out from the rest. We also ordered the oysters that came with a very spicy salsa yet flavorful and delicious. Burned our mouths but still had us wanting more. The only thing off putting was that they had all their cab wines chilled. I was not a fan of that. Alfredo, our waiter, was knowledgeable and gave us recommendations throughout the service. Hands down, he is the reason why we will be back. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening. They played a mix of tunes which made it pleasant. I WILL be going back and trying the rest of the menu.

My second time here and i truly love it. Tried the salami hot honey pizza and WOW. This may be my new favorite pizza. Spicy, sweet and savory balance is perfect. Pork belly was good as well. I’m not a huge pork person but it was cooked well. Crispy skin was very good. Service and atmosphere is perfect for a date.

Food is experimental and rotating - I generally feel like I have to ask about every dish since I have a hard time conceptualizing from the descriptions. However, it's quite good. Atmosphere is top notch. Staff/service are really excellent. Although no parking lot, the street parking is ample enough that I've never had an issue finding a spot within a block or so. Weekends you'll need a reservation. I'm a rare person that's not a fan of garlic - if you're like me, be forewarned that they love love love garlic here!

We had a good experience at Tiny Champions overall. The service was great. Our waitress was really helpful in recommending the right amount of food for our group of nine. The pizza was good, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and the reservation process was easy. The appetizers were just okay and a little hard to share with a larger group. While everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our visit, I’m not sure it’s a place I’d go out of my way to visit again.

I came here after reading raving reviews on reddit! I really liked the vibe and our server was great. However, everything we ordered was pretty salty overall. I still enjoyed the dishes as they were delicious but be aware, they are salty! I would come back again for more.

My friends and I stopped by for dinner after a serious pizza craving. While it was a weekday and the restaurant wasn't overly busy, they did mention a preference for reservations. Thankfully, they were still able to seat us--but we were told upfront that they'd need the table back for a later reservation, which made the experience feel a bit time-sensitive. We ordered a mix of items to share, starting with oysters and two pizzas: pepperoni and greens. The pizzas were decent--crispy and fresh--but not particularly memorable. The real standout for me was surprisingly the oysters. As someone who usually doesn't enjoy oysters, I found theirs genuinely good. The pickle juice mignonette added such a unique and flavorful twist that even I couldn't stop reaching for them. The ambiance leaned more toward romantic date night with its dim lighting, but it still felt casual and laid-back. The service was great--friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Even though we had a limited time at the table, they never made us feel rushed. Overall, it was a nice evening with friends. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend making a reservation just in case--and note that parking is limited to street parking only.

Wife and I met up with some dear friends for dinner here last night. The food and service was excellent. Loved the quail appetizer. The pepperoni pizza is amazing! My only complaint is the parking situation. There is no dedicated parking lot. You have to do street parking which is hard to find especially during the peak dining times. Highly recommend this place!

The food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The place is really cute and I loved all the art work. I just got to say it’s not really kid friendly. The hostess told us there would be a wait time and offered to take a drink order while we waited, which I thought was nice of her. My 4 year old daughter ordered a lemonade. She came out with a beautiful fancy looking GLASS cup for my clumsy daughter to accidentally drop. I asked her if she can pour it in a To go cup. She said they do not offer to go cups. Luckily one of the other workers offered a solution he got a ice cream pint container and poked a hole on the lid for the straw. I thought that was very clever. We were the only people there with a kid which made me feel kind of awkward but if the website or social media would of said it’s not really a family restaurant, more of date night bar restaurant I would have not taken my kid. Either way my daughter and I loved our food and had a great time seeing all the art on the way to the restrooms! I’ll definitely be back just with adults though.

I took my boyfriend here for his 25th birthday since he had been wanting to check out the place—it was both our first time visiting. We started with the fried quail, which was delicious and came with a fancy ranch and hot honey sauce that paired perfectly. The crispy pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth good, though the oil from the skin hit my throat a little harshly and lingered longer than I liked. We shared the beef and pork bolognese and an anchovy pizza. Personally, I found the bolognese too salty, though my boyfriend enjoyed it. As for the anchovy pizza... it was questionable. The presentation felt a bit off, and the combination of anchovy and tomato sauce made it overly salty. Thankfully, my boyfriend agreed. Our amazing server noticed our reaction and kindly offered to replace it—we went with the classic pepperoni, and it was great! Thin, crispy, and flavorful. We even dipped it in the leftover quail sauce, and it was chef’s kiss. Overall, I’d rate this place 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was lively, service was excellent, and by the time we left, there was already a long wait (thankfully we had a reservation!). The missing star is just based on personal taste—some dishes were too salty for me, but we still had a great time celebrating. Would we go back? - YES!

Tried a few times but reservations weren’t easy. Finally got in and drove over for pizza and lasagna. Staff were super friendly and the vibe in East Downtown is nice. Cool space. Food was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special. Pizza didn’t stand out. Lasagna was fine. We also tried two cocktails (Tiny Champion and Hot Toddy). Both were underwhelming. :( Overall, felt a bit overrated. Hype was bigger than the flavor.

For starters, we decided to go to this establishment for a birthday dinner (party of 2). The place is local to us and we have never been. Happy hour isn’t really “happy hour”, we got a total of 4 drinks and they were the watermelon shandy, which consisted of beer and what seemed as a watermelon purée? Each drink alone was $6, which is typical for a beer to cost $6 and up depending on where you go. That to me seems like a regular priced beverage not “happy hour” drink. Their happy hour menu for food/drinks is completely separate from their main menu and has about less than 10 options to choose from, so that to me is an automatic scam from the restaurant. Their actual cocktail drinks do not qualify for happy hour, so you end up paying regular price for those. Their happy hour pizza menu, only consists of 3 options (cheese, pepperoni and veggie) and you HAVE TO eat it there, you can’t take it to go, such tedious rules considering the establishment is in an ugly area. As for the food, we got the crab stuffed shells, which in all reality lacked flavor and the portion was TINY so I guess the restaurant name fits the whole menu. We got the salami pizza with hot honey and in reality it was not worth the $21, pizza lacked flavor, super flimsy and yet again, TINY! Now for the fun part, DO NOT GO CELEBRATE A BIRTHDAY HERE WHATSOEVER!! Customer service is HORRENDOUS. Waitress (Maria S.) and food runners look soo miserable and look like they barely want to do their job. They really do kill the vibe. Waitress approached our table to say that although the reservation states that it is for a birthday, that we would have to purchase one of the desserts on the menu and that they don’t do birthdays? Which in reality is kind of obvious that when we first got sat, we made it clear who the birthday person was and the waitress had the most boring serious face on planet earth. What ever happened to sympathy, not sure if it’s part of their training but geez! Also, there’s NO PARKING we got lucky to have parked in front of the restaurant but we saw people walking from blocks down the road just to come eat here? CRAZYYY! I found out once we left through videos and peoples feedback that cars get broken into and that overall it isn’t a safe area. Save your time and money and go eat elsewhere!!!
