Another Broken Egg Houston Reviews
First timers! Our server Dre had an awesome attitude and was extremely helpful, recommending his 5 dishes! He complimented us first timers, with an order of beignets! Thank you so much Dre for being awesome, your service made our first time visit wonderful!! We will be coming back! He recommended The Southern Breakfast Bowl sub grits for potatoes (it was delicious!!) And the bourbon pancakes, perfect amount of sweetness!! and the Broken egg biscuit sandwich was pretty good!!
We had a great experience. The food and service were excellent. The seasonal special southern chicken biscuit was delicious, and I was glad I took the opportunity to try it while it was on the menu. The accompanying home fry potatoes are among the better I’ve had. My wife loved the blackberry French toast and the bacon was terrific. The restaurant was clean and orderly with a nice atmosphere.
I had such a great experience at Another Broken Egg Cafe! The food was absolutely delicious and came out fresh and hot. Everything was flavorful and well-seasoned — you can tell they really put care into their dishes. The portions were generous, and presentation was on point. The service was just as good as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The atmosphere was relaxed, clean, and perfect for a laid-back brunch. If you’re looking for a solid breakfast or brunch spot with great vibes and even better food, this is definitely the place. I’ll definitely be back!
I recommend this breakfast joint. The environment was clean and has an elegant structure. Also the customer service was amazing. My waitress Bee was great, she was very polite and attentive. Also the food came fast and fresh. I enjoyed my experience and the very good food. I will definitely come back.
The food was amazing! I tried there new seasonal items and super happy. The server was a sweet heart and made great recommendations for me and my wife. She also brought me out Tea to help me enjoy my breakfast after my long flight. Will always come here every time I come in for business! DE ‘ JA rocks!
I love this place! It' gives nostalgic NOLA brunch vibes. The food is consistent and well seasoned. The chicken and waffles are so yummy. The pound cake French toast are perfectly fried, pair with some andouille sausage. Mia was our server and she was attentive and efficient!! Def a return visit
Visiting from NC, so first experience. There were friendly greetings from staff upon entering. Our server, Bee, was phenomenal in assisting us with great choices. The food was flavorful and made it to our table before our drinks. However, once we received our drinks, they were great as well! I highly recommend this establishment.
Our service with Bee was excellent! I ordered the Traditional Day Starter; my eggs were cooked to perfection and the fruit assortment had so many delicious berries. My date ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon that were also very tasty. Bee was incredibly sweet and made sure our coffee was refilled when needed and that we received any additional requests we asked for. Would definitely return again! Thank you. :)

My party enjoyed coming here so much we came two days in a row on our trip to Houston from out of state. The staff were friendly and punctual. The food was amazing. You can tell they take pride in putting their effort in making it look amazing. The restaurant was not loud and the food was prepared faster than other diners.
Our server Bee was very nice, sweet and very attentive! My wife loves the Shrimp n’ grits w/ bourbon street pancakes and I loved the BLT lunch w/ jambalaya. I additionally love, love, love that they have a gluten free pancakes for our toddler which he loves along with their beignets biscuits and honey marmalade 🍯
Nice people but the service was slow. Food tasted great!
We love ABE and have gone to many of them but this location definitely needs some help. I think they are understaffed, there was a wait time and tables were not cleaned, the servers and hostess were bouncing up and down cleaning and they did the minimum because the floor was absolutely disgusting. Our server was very sweet and attentive, the food was delicious and yummy. But the place being dirty was definitely a put off. When I went into the restroom it was disgusting, the restroom looked like the construction workers didn't even do a good job when remodeling. This place definitely needs help and that's why I gave it 3 stars. It has potential because the food and servers were good but the environment is not.
We were seated rated quickly for a Sunday, our server was forgetful so we ended up getting one of our drinks to go. I got the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes, the pancakes were huge a prepared well but I don't get any lemon flavor. The homemade sausage patties had good flavor but after the first bite I realized they were undercooked. My eggs were cooked as I ordered them and their breakfast potatoes were one of my favorite items, my other favorite is the pineapple berry agua fresca! Overall, I would visit here again for a decent breakfast and because of the fact you get a reasonable portion of food for a fair price!
This place is just "okay". I kind of felt like I would have enjoyed breakfast at dennys or ihop equally as much. No silverware at tables, we had to ask. Two different people greeted us asking to take our drink order. The pictures on here made this place look desirable but it just did not deliver. My eggs Benedict arrived with no hollandaise sauce. I was informed they were out after the fact..AFTER my plate reached the table.. How do you run out?? This for me was totally confusing. The bloody Mary was not particularly tasty either and overall in conclusion, I have no desire to come back. This location also appears to lack management. I paid $60 for two meals and a drink. SAVE your money and go somewhere else!
Base on all the positive reviews below, I decided to visit the place for some breakfast. I order the infamous Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes and the Apple Fritter French Toast. The Apple Fritter French Toast was mediocre. The bread was chewy and a bit overcooked in my opinion. Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes was very eye-catching on the menu, but I was a bit disappointed. The pancakes itself are pretty basic. You can get the same from other fast-food breakfast place like Ihop or even gas station. I expected to be high quality like at First Watch or Snooze. The dish has 5 components: lemon zest, whipped cream, blueberry, goat cheese and pancakes. The kitchen forgot 2 of it: lemon zest and whipped cream. Was it a big deal? sort of. I think the whipped cream and lemon zest can somewhat add a flavored light, airy texture and a touch of acidic to an overall boring pancakes. I informed the waitress about the missing components and finished up the French Toast. I asked for a to-go box to take the pancakes home and informed her again that the kitchen forgot whipped cream and lemon zest. Her response was "Oh, ok" as she handed me a box, a check and never return. This was during later afternoon with 2 tables occupied. Not during morning or afternoon breakfast rush.
NEVER AGAIN! It was two of us there for breakfast. Not sure why the place is rated so high…. Cold omlette, shrimps were in a shell not chewable, crab was deep-fried and mushy. Benedict was fully cooked and didn’t taste properly. Grits were nasty, served as one big sticky blob. Honestly didn’t taste like cooked food. More like it was out of the can and freezer and then microwaved. Asked waiter if our food was supposed to have shelled seafood and taste and look that way, because it didn’t look or taste as it was described in the menu. He said “I don’t know what and how they do in kitchen”… NO Comment… After 60$ we walked out hungry and mad… Would definitely suggest to stay away and not waste your time or money
