Cobble & Spoke Houston Reviews
Cool environment he let us try some samples because we didn't know what to buy tbh but very nice man Kyle cool . Good beer. Me and my brother came. He knows i like to drink. I like it very good vibe
One of the best craft beer bars in Houston, and the state. Definitely worth a visit. Great selection, check their menu on the Digital Pour app, it's always changing. Good stuff.
Cobble & Spoke is a cozy and inviting cafe offering a selection of freshly brewed coffee, teas, and light bites. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it perfect for casual meetups or quiet work sessions. Friendly and attentive staff ensure a pleasant experience, creating a reliable spot for daily coffee or a relaxing break.
Went for Thursday Steak night and it was great! Chef Freddie with Bourbon_Butter_Steaks on iG is amazing and does pop up steak nights offering wagyu ribeye (10-12 oz thin cut), filets (6 oz) and a seafood option that varies along with amazing sides like charred green beans and bacon Mac n cheese. He also has a Butcher Board that may have all meats and sides or probably a lobster tail. They sell out fast and have a following but definitely worth following and joining! Chef Freddie is so nice too!
What a gem! I was sad about Big Owl Craft Brew House closing near me so I ventured out to look for an alternative and think I found my new spot! Happened to be here on a Thursday which is when Bourbon Butter Steaks is there! Wow. The beer selection was insane. Especially the canned gems from other states.
For distinguished seekers of strong drink in all its hoppy delight Cobble & Spoke is an excellent destination that should be on your list. Located in the heart of Spring Branch, tucked away in an unassuming little shopping center are places that wouldn’t be out of place in the heart of Montrose or the Art District, but without the sometimes ridiculous snobbery that can erode away at the experience you might have. This is a lighthearted but very passionate brewery/pub/eatery you’d want to leave your sword and shield at the door after a long day on the battlefield of capitalist casualties and enjoy a tasty mead to drown your woes. The conversation ain’t half bad either. Expertly decorated with natural light and greenery it’s a great place to go solo, with a date, or even bringing your pals to unwind. This business is the reason I am passionate about reviewing on this platform, as I would do this for free (and do) for the simple fact that locally owned businesses truly share the values of their patrons. The experience you will get easily defeats the bloated corporate idea of the same concept, and even though they might have fatter wallets to throw at aesthetics, they lack the heart and value local spots have in spades. If we collectively, as a city spent our hard earned dollars locally instead of funneling it out of our own city into soulless cross continental greedy conglomerates, we can keep the wealth in Houston. Pay a little bit more to make that happen and watch how our great city will transform into a place that represents US, the unconventional odd family that we are.
Exemplary beer bar in Spring Branch. Eclectic array of locals and other visitors. Outside food is welcome. Regular community gatherings. Cycling-life is predominant. Kyle and Zach run a friendly neighborhood venue. Playlist is usually metal/death/stoner/doom/sludge/____core, but not always. Games on screens.
This hole-in-the-wall bar offers a fantastic experience with its lively atmosphere and excellent music. The beer selection is impressive, catering to a variety of tastes, and the customer service is friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a cozy spot with a great vibe and top-notch brews, this place is a must-visit. Personally, I really enjoy their mead selection. Food - Not Applicable. This establishment does not serve food, thus the 1 start. But they do allow you to bring in food to enjoy with their drinks.
Stopped in on Halloween and loved it! The bartender behind the bar was so friendly and I really did love the way the place was decorated. I’d been wanting to come here for some time, as they are one of the only places I know of that has mead on tap, and they did not disappoint!!! So many interesting beers on tap, like a cheesecake sour?? hello??? amazing. Can’t wait to come back 🙂↕️
LOVED this bar. There’s such a great selection of beer/mead and the atmosphere was so easy and chill. I wish we found it earlier. Cute back door outside area too! Massive bonus points for having hair ties and Bobby pins in the girls bathroom! That should honestly be a staple in every bar haha.
Hidden neighborhood gem. I don’t even live in the area, and I still go out of my way to come here. A wide variety of super fresh craft beer on tap means I can come back every other week and find something new and fun to try. The atmosphere is also extremely relaxed! Whether for a happy hour or a quieter place to get some work done, I’m always recommending this place to anyone who loves craft beer or even wine
Would have never found this place if some friends hadn't suggested it. Love the chill atmosphere. Has a nice little outside area out back with lots of plants and tables. Excellent selection of brews on draft and canned. Amazing that they can fit so many on tap in this little gem of a place.
Such an awesome little bar in an unassuming strip center. This place has lots of character and a great beer selection (plenty on their list that I’ve never heard of and they are generous with their tastings). They don’t serve food but occasionally have a food truck (we brought food in from the Greek restaurant nearby). There’s even a nice patio out back. I highly recommend you check this place out.
I came across a neighborhood bar that offers a large selection of draft beers and has easy parking. It’s located in a non-descriptive strip cenre. I had just finished shopping for vinyl a couple of doors down and decided to stop in for a beer. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was prompt. Overall, it was a pleasant experience in this casual bar setting.
was super intrigued when I saw this place visting another business in that strip mall. no where on the door does it say 21 up or that it's a bar. what bar serves steak. I went in and nicely asked if it was 21 up as it was clear a big part of what they sell was alcoholic. the bartender had such a mean tone saying "um yeah ... it's a bar" it seems he assumed i wasnt of age but I am and love mead and wanted to try but I was out with my 20 year old friend. I probably would have purchased from this if i had not been humiliated and sent to my car to cry.
