Via 313 Houston Reviews
Pizza is Fantastic! I have not liked pizza until I had Via313… we always get the Omnivore extra crispy and extra sauce. We always go to the I-10 location. The staff is fantastic. Cody and Lex provides good service.
Stopped in for a quick dinner at Via 313 Pizza! Their Detroit-style pizza is great, with a thick, crispy crust that's perfectly cooked, and toppings that are fresh and flavorful. Each slice is packed with cheesy goodness, and the sauce is just the right balance of tangy and sweet. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Whether you're a pizza lover or trying Detroit-style for the first time, Via 313 is a must-try! I will definitely be coming back.
Jaylon gave us the history behind the pizza and the restaurant and made our first visit so welcoming. I love that there are dairy-free cheese and plant-based pepperoni options. I’ll have to come back with my family next time since there are so many options. The service was also very good through our whole experience.
Always looking to go Deeeeeeeep into my "Eats" and this is a Family Show as in Pizza 🍕 and Via 3-1-3 didn't disappoint on this All Meat dba "Carnivore" w/Red Onions and well done that Crust was Bang Bang!!! The Flavor Profile with that special Via 3-1-3 Pizza Sauce and the Meat crazy taste!!! That's 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 out of 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 We grabbed 2 Pies hence that $30 - $50 and Stay Calm and believe in the Via 3-1-3 🍕
First—our servers were so nice and knowledgeable. They taught us some cool pizza facts and had great recommendations on drinks, apps, and the food. Second—the food was outstanding! Great quality and value—take home boxes all around. We’ll definitely be back!
First visit tonight for me and my son, and we walked out smiling. Mazie took good care of us — calm, attentive, and on point. The gluten-free crust here is the best we’ve had anywhere, and the whole meal felt slow, solid, and worth savoring. We wrapped up the night going over Algebra 2 and Delta Math. Helping him grow is one of the best parts of my work with MBAcademy® — and evenings like this make it feel less like tutoring and more like time well spent. We’ll be back.
When the Houston deep dish pizza institution Barry’s closed in 2020 after 37 years, we’ve longed for a great Detroit style pizzeria. After seeing Via 313 featured in the Houston Chronicle “Best Pizza” feature, we were excited to see if this might be the place. 313 did not disappoint! Our favorite is adding black olives, mushrooms, and artichokes to the pepperoni Detroiter. The pie’s crust perfects the signature Detroit style of crisp cheesy edges. Now if they can come up with a creamy bacon salad dressing like Barry’s had, I’d be in absolute heaven!
First off let me say the staff here are absolutely incredible. My mom just had knee surgery. She's on a walker and moves slow. There was an older , I want to say Hispanic man, we thought he might be the manager, he was absolutely incredible. He was so tentative to my mom. Made sure she was comfortable and got to the first table so she didn't have to go to far. Always a smile on his face. Willing to help. Then, comes our waiter. Mr LaDarius himself. This man is so kind, patient and communication is beautiful. His ability to remember the full order for three of us and read it back twice was impressive. He kept checking on us, making sure we had what we need. His knowledge of the menu was above the rest. These two men need a raise or a promotion because they were hands down the best part of our day. Onto the food. We got their pizza, salad and drink combo. $12 per person. The salad was good. They brought us more ranch. That's made me happy alone. Good ranch to. . The pizza was absolutely wonderful. Psa: if you can't handle a lot of red sauce tell them when you order. We will be back. If you find yourself in the area please go support this amazing business and these two wonderful and exceptional men that work there. Go ask for LaDarius he made it so great. He was such a kind and sweet human. Our family loves him.
This place was recommended by a neighbor. He got it right when he told me it was the best Detroit style pizza he ever had. Not only was the food at the top level, everything was fresh, hot and the service was over the top. I felt like a guest at their table, not just someone coming to eat pizza. The salad and bread stick are also just as good. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
I came here with my husband, and we were both pleasantly surprised! Our server, Will, had amazing customer service. He explained the menu very well and made sure we were well taken care of. We ordered the small Detroit style pizza. Half Cadillac and half 500 (the side with the pineapple). We also got some hot honey on the side and it paired so well with the pizzas. It was our first time but definitely not our last time!
Via313 Pizzeria provided everything I could ask for! The pizza is incredible—Detroit-style perfection with crispy edges and delicious toppings. I can't rave enough about the service, especially from LAUREN, the bartender. She crafted the most refreshing cocktails and made us feel at home instantly. Her energy is infectious! As first-time visitors, we were treated to a special dessert from Jose that purely [chef's-kiss] spectacular. Their attention to detail combined with warm hospitality made the experience unforgettable. (Speedy recovery, Jose! 🙏🏾) Via313 has won me over. I'll definitely be back.
They have pizza by the slice. Yeah! I had been wanting to try Via 313, a Detroit pizzeria for quite some time. I was in the area and decided to make a stop there. I sat at the bar first as booth seating was not available. I ordered a slice of Vodka pizza and a side salad. The salad is plentiful and with just the right amount of dressing. The pizza is delicious. The crust is like a thick bread. The waitress was very friendly. The cheese pizza combo is $12 and comes with a drink, but I didn't order one.
I had an amazing experience at Via 313! From entering the restaurant and leaving, everyone was so kind and helpful. For pizza I ordered the Ambassador Bridge with hot honey. It was my very first time having Detroit style pizza and it didn’t disappoint. You HAVE to get it with the hot honey! Never had honey on my pizza but that changed by life. I loved how all the slices are cut into squares too. As for appetizers we ordered the marinara with meatballs, roasted artichoke and the cheese sticks. Everything was made fresh and seasoned and the cheese was oh so ooey gooey delicious! To finish off with deserts we had the rocky road hub cap and the cinnamon sticks. The hub cap was the perfect size, with vanilla bean ice cream that wasn’t too sweet to offset the sweetness of the hubcap. Cinnamon stickers were yummy too! I just wanna give a shout out to Will for being such an attentive thoughtful server :) We will be back next time!
Today was my first time to try Detroit pizza and it was delicious!!! I chose the Omnivore and had the meatballs for an appetizer. Ask for Lisa, she’s the best! Lisa is amazing and she is so friendly. She is Also very knowledgeable about the food and her suggestions were delicious. I was not impressed with the host station, they didn’t even say hello to me. The lady who sat me was very nice but I don’t recall her name. Overall, this is a great place to get some good food. Loved the music too.
The pizza is very good, but they have to figure out their delivery service. They deliver through Uber Eats, and I’m not sure what the issue is, but multiple times the food has been delivered really late to my workplace. It shows the driver driving to their location and sitting there for a bit, then it just says “oops finding another driver.” I work like a mile away, and this has happened like 4 times out of 10ish orders. The pizza is great, but getting it cold is never good.
Via 313 is a nice spot with a decent menu, but our service was slow. It took about 8 minutes before anyone came by to greet us and take our drink order. Meanwhile, other tables who were seated after us had been tended to first. When our server arrived, she apologized for the delay, noting they were backed up. Drinks arrived roughly five minutes later, and the food took quite a while to come out as well. As for the food, the Detroit-style pizza and breadsticks were both tasty, and the meatballs were a highlight. The Caesar salad, however, was dry. The Faygo root beer was yummy. Overall, it was an okay experience—good food, but the service delays made it less enjoyable. Not sure if this is typical or just an off night.
Our server was great, we may have enjoyed the atmosphere a bit if there was more guest interaction however we completely understand that some days it is not possible. I eagerly awaited our pizza to be cooked as it enhanced our experience. The pepperoni and crust were perfectly crisp, while the bell pepper sustained a fresh taste and the sausage had a subtle spicy kick elevating the flavor of each bite! My husband was delighted to find Faygo bringing back childhood memories from Michigan. Definitely will visit again as all the pizza varieties were intriguing
This is our favorite pizza spot! But lately it’s become a disappointment. On this last order, Door Dash delivered, I ordered the Buffalo Chick, with extra onions (extra cost) & baked extra crispy. NONE of those requests were received! There is no excuse for requests thus simple to be ignored. So now I’m baking my pizza, again to add crispness to it.
Seems Detroit Style Pizza is not for me. Expected a lot more from this restaurant as it has great reviews. Service was good. Atmosphere was relaxed but for me the pizza was horrible . That style of crispy oily base and not so great toppings on the bar style pizza just doesn’t shout pizza to me. I received a free portion of cinnamon fingers which were nice but similar style crusty dough. I must say the Caesar Salad for starter was nice. Overall Thanks but no thanks 👍
My son took me here 4 Mother's Day, I wanted a gluten-free pizza! We waited over an hour 4 our pizzas! The Brussel sprouts took 40 minutes! My pizza was ALL BREAD! They charged for every item! And there was hardly anything on it? My son got the Carnivore, and it had some toppings! At the end it was almost $60 for our meal!? Totally Not worth it! I do not recommend this place! 😤😠
