Puebla's Mexican Kitchen Houston Reviews
A big-backed, entitled woman walked in and demanded to hold a table after being asked to leave and be seated once her full party had arrived. She refused and caused a scene. About 10 minutes later, a separate party walked in and seated themselves even though their full group wasn’t present. They were also loud, disruptive, and entitled. The employees here are incredibly kind and efficient, and the food is top-rated by the Houston Chronicle. They do not deserve to deal with that level of disrespect and lack of decorum from guests. Can’t wait to come back. Patience and respect is key if you’re coming in as an entitled, big-backed lady.
A good Mexican restaurant. Portions are generous and the vibe is nice. Parking is SLIM but I would recommend.
Me and my honey’s favorite Saturday morning spot. Quality food and great customer service
To the lady to just posted a review on here about 7-8 hours ago. We sat near your table that you tried to hold when your party wasn't even there yet. He asked KINDLYYY for you to have a seat while you wait for the rest of the party to show up but you literally sat there skipped a line and argued with him untill you could buy enough time for the “extra” party member to show up (2 people not even joking). Unfortunately you weren’t the only bad customer they had right after that some old Doña walked in announced her self and SAT. Yall are soo weird for this type of behavior. The restaurant handled it so well. As a customer I was so upset and felt so bad for the employees. Food is bomb here, hand made tortillas and cheap as helll for how delicious it is. Be weary and suspicious of any very low views of this place.
This place always hits! Food is always on point, fresh, and you can tell made with love. Always love coming here just know parking is just like all of Houston a little tough but never impossible.
Pueblas gas become mine and my partners go to spot for breakfast and lunch since we moved to the heights last year. Offers traditional Mexican dishes in an area surrounded by Tex Mex places. At this point I've tried most of the menu and each dish is great. Every bite transports me to memories of being at home with my mom's and grandmas home cooked meals. Great food, great service, and very reasonably priced meals, you can get a full meal for less than $10. Can definitely get busy any day of the week so be prepared to wait for a table.
My new favorite breakfast place the chilaquiles are always a HIT! Everything is made fresh their cafe con canela is also so so wonderful. lovely place definitely recommend to come out and give it a try!
Food is amazing! Tortillas were delicious. Everything was delicious. The restaurant gives a very cozy feeling. Don’t recommend big parties. There’s not too much seating. I believe they can seat a party of 8, if you arrive when it’s not too busy. They can seat a party of four comfortably. Overall, I think this place is great.
Great Mexican hot chocolate. Great food. Great prices. I made the mistake of going to another restaurant a little to the east for breakfast this morning (with a decent rating maybe 4.6) and the potatoes were hard, they brought the wrong tortillas, their 5 dollar hot chocolate is just a packet of American style cocoa, and the eggs had no flavor. I've never had a bad experience at Puebla's and I'm sad I took my girlfriend elsewhere.
I was going to take a picture of my food, but it looked so good I couldn’t wait! From the moment we walked in, everything smelled fresh and the place was spotless and well organized. We were greeted right away, and as soon as we sat down, fresh salsa and warm chips were brought out, absolutely delicious. The music, the atmosphere, and the customer service were all top notch. And the food? Incredible! Definitely a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and great vibes.
Puebla’s Mexican Kitchen is a delightful gem that offers an authentic Mexican dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant decor and warm ambiance. The service at Puebla’s Mexican Kitchen is exceptional. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. I definitely felt so welcomed. This restaurant excels in delivering delicious, high quality food paired with outstanding service. You will not be disappointed here. This restaurant truly felt like an authentic Mexican restaurant which is hard to find these days.
Puebla’s Mexican Kitchen is my go-to spot for breakfast tacos in the Heights. Their potato, egg, and bean taco on a flour tortilla is always fresh, flavorful, and a great value at $3. The red and green salsas add the perfect kick, and the tortillas have that homemade quality that sets them apart. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with both indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio. Parking can be limited—there are a few spots in the private lot out front, with additional spaces behind the restaurant and some street parking nearby. Consistently great food, friendly service, and solid breakfast tacos make this one of the better spots in the area. Highly recommended!
I loved Jorge's manners and service. I felt very welcomed as this was my first time visiting. He was very patient with me and my mother and sister. I appreciate his hard work and ethics. 10/10 we were joking around with him and he was very well mannered thank you so much we will be coming back again. We are the customers with the chicken t^_4÷#s
The food here is delicious! The staff is so sweet and attentive. It's a super tiny space, but they do also have a couple of tables for outdoor seating as well. Me and Pops loved the food and we have been here a couple of times! If you're looking for a quality Mexican breakfast made with extra love, this is the spot!
My friend introduced me to this adorable restaurant. It has seating inside and out and it was busy when we got here but we didn't wait that bad, we got seated and we're quick with drinks and our food order. The food was delicious and fresh, it tasted so good. I also didn't realize when paying that they charged me the wrong receipt, I was worried that I couldn't get it fixed but I called and the manager got it fixed right away and that was awesome. Definitely coming back!
I had 2 different friends recommend Puebla's Mexican Kitchen in the Heights so I had to try it for myself. We went on a Sunday morning and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up being much shorter. The ambiance and decor were very casual and colorful. I LOVED the colorful plates! The staff was warm and friendly even though the food itself took a bit longer to arrive than expected. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the barbacoa taco in particular was my favorite. Every bite was mouth-watering. The tostada and crispy taco were also delicious. If there was one miss, it was the chips and sauces. The chips were way too hard, and the salsas were just okay. But aside from that, everything else we tried was excellent.
It was all good except getting ink on my shirt from the table I assume there was an ink pen malfunction before I sat down. Oh well death to another shirt. We were on that side of town and saw they looked busy and figured we would give them a try. It's a bit loud in there but a nice place for a quick simple meal of quality food.
