This was my first time at this location, even though I work in the area. The food was fresh and hot. The person who waited on me was very nice and made sure I had everything I needed. I grabbed donut holes and the newish sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. I will definitely be back here when I need a Shipley fix.

I've been to a lot of Shipley's, but this location puts all others to shame. Hands down -the- best kolaches of any Shipley's. Every donut (and their kolaches, of course) I've had has been shockingly fresh, even when stopping by after noon. Whatever they are doing at this location, the rest of franchise needs to take note.

Always get the apple fritters, this time tried the ham kolache, which wasn’t to me, and we tried the bold jalapeno sausage kolache and it was quite tasty. We tried delivery and none of the costs were reasonable. Much better to go in person.

This is the best shipley donuts in Houston! I’ve been to a lot and this location is always the best and has the freshest donuts. They usually make the glazed donuts a few times a day. Warm donuts are the absolutely best. One employee there is a bit rude. She charged me double for a dozen donuts. I even questioned her about it. She said the price went up. I knew it was a lie. I just assumed she needed a tip and let it go.

Donuts for a donut emergency or craving, open 24h, filled, classic and cake; good people, very friendly, donuts are just regular stuff, inexpensive, nothing special or inventive...the experience is everything, better than the donuts. They are fresh because they are made on site! I watched them do it: dough, cook, glaze etc... Good parking, probably the best Shipley in Houston.

Im very disappointed with Shipley Donuts . Their donuts are fine but their breakfast Kolaches are terrible I purchased 3 egg and cheese Kolaches the ones are not even cheap I have the impression that bc it was early morning on the weekend ans was a lot of people that they were “Rushing “ the kolaches the Kolaches came out of the oven uncooked in the inside and they literally made me sick You cant be serving Kolaches with the top almost burnt and the inside raw .

Good and quick service. The lady that waited on me was very fast and efficient. However, the younger Hispanic lady that waited on others didn't use gloves to sort donuts. She used her bare hands to touch the different donuts. Oh my this other customer and I caught it. Will not be returning.

I ordered an apple fritter and a sausage and cheese kolache. When I got home I found that the apple fritter had no apples in it and was very dry. I love apple fritters and eat them all the time, so I know this apple fritter was not properly made. The kolache was also defected as the sausage was sticking outside of the bread as if it was baked that way. The problem I had with the kolache is that it really should not have been served to me this way as it was not very presentable. I hope this feedback is helpful as I would like to continue to come to this location for donuts and kolaches.

The cashier was not very nice and gave me the wrong items. I already was far and so we just had to eat what was bagged. I wish they had trumoo milk. My kids love it and they didn’t have it.

I have been a customer of this location for years. As of recently, the most loved items(chocolate donut holes) of mine have been unavailable. In the winter months, it used to be every 4 hrs a new batch of glazed, would be fresh, hot and ready. Now, it's whenever which is NOT the same at all. Some things should stay the same.

The service was nice, however the location we visited on Gessner (if I remember right) had what seemed to be old donuts. The dough was tough not moist and the glaze seemed to be melted not flaky. We love donuts and have yet to find a spot here in Houston that serves fresh, moist and flaky donuts.

Ordered a jalapeño koloche and this is what I received a koloche so small I think it was meant for a child. Bread dough wasn’t cooked completely

Not only has the customer service and quality gone way downhill with the new ownership, the prices have gone through the roof!!! $1.35 for a measly donut?! The prices have increased far greater than inflation. My estimate is at least a 50% increase which is just pure greed by the ownership.

Everyone should read all the 1 star reviews of this business. Everything that could possibly be wrong with a restaurant has been experienced and listed. I am very disappointed with my experience. I will now always associate this poor experience with all Shipley’s and will steer clear of them. The responses made here by this business to customer complains are generic and insincere, they have done absolutely nothing to improve. Hopefully, they will eventually be sued, transfer ownership, or be shut down. It is a disgrace. There is no excuse for what’s going on at this store. Members of the media and the health department should be notified. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I asked for a hot chocolate, the lady got the wrong drink. Not a big deal UNTIL She tried to force me to take the wrong drink! When I said no, she was so upset and refused to make the one I paid for. Not only that, at the speaker the elder lady that took my order was in a mood. If you are so miserable at your job, do yourself a favor and quit. They used to have better customer service a few years back. Safe to say I will drive out to Memorial Dr. for better customer service.

Was going to purchase until I saw the guy picking up donuts and dressing them with various frostings. Then dipping them in toppings all with his bare hands (see pic). It's unsanitary to not wear gloves. Yuck!!

Horrible kolaches. I asked, 3 times if they had smoked sausage kolaches. Each time I was told yes. Once I bit in it had some weird, tiny, Vienna sausage weeny. That was $5 out the window.
