I came to Sichuan Peppers Express on a Sunday afternoon in North Houston area. I really wanted to take a break from shopping at Skechers next door. I ended up buying a combo plate. The food was lukewarm. Service was good.

The price is very comparable to Panda but tastes 100% better. I ordered Mei Fun noodles, Hunan Chicken & Pepper Chicken, and crab ragoon. Nice portion size and the ragoon were huge. The only thing I would recommend is that they open up more locations closer to Downtown / east end / Edo / 5th or 2nd Ward to be exact lol.

The food was so fresh and delicious. We had the general tso chicken, orange chicken and garlic pepper shrimp. The chicken egg rolls were crunchy and had a great flavor. Everything was hot and the proportions were good. Lunch with 2 fountain drinks was 30 dollars. Definitely will return and recommend.

I frequent this shopping strip pretty often. I noticed this place before they opened but never thought to stop by. We took the kids the get food from across the street. If you're from the area, you know there is a plethora of fast food restaurants to choose from. I didn't want any of those. So I asked my hunny if he wanted to try it today. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food for such a low price. You can eat from it for at least a day or two. And it's nice that they allow you to sample before purchasing. The customer service is great too. I wish I'd paid attention to the names of the 2 associates that took care of us. I will definitely go back and recommend to others. Oh, my husband ate his food so quickly I couldn't get a pic.

Wow! Our new favorite spot it taste soo much better than panda express, this is like the homemade version of it. We went in with low expectations but let me just say it was sooooo Good! We paid appropriately $24 for all this food. My favorite was the orange chicken it was crispy and all the meat was so juicy. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Eric and Diego for being so patient. P.S the chili oil was amazing we loved it.

I wanted to try this place since it first opened and I can honestly say that trying Chinese food around town is one of my favorite things to do. The food was good and the portions were also pretty good. I like the fact that they have a big variety on different choices of food. However, I think that they need to be able to have basic condiments that Chinese food is supposed to have. I asked for sriracha and they said that they didn’t have any, I asked for chilly paste and they didn’t have any either so when I asked them for like any spicy sauce or something they said that they had chili oil and they gave me some. I was looking for salt and pepper and to my shock, they said that they didn’t have any salt shakers or even little salt packets. Anyway, the place was clean, the people working there were nice, the food was good, all they need is BASIC CONDIMENTS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! 🤭

I went in today to try out the food , First time ever !!!! I'm looking at the menu no one to at least say Hi welcome in . But I proceed to wait for about 4 mins , my food is served and next thing is to walk over to pay right?? So I'm waiting.& I do have 2 ppl in front of me to pay. the cashier who was helping another customer tells me ma'am yr gonna have to wait back there plz . As I said my food is served I'm just waiting to pay she just says ohhhh okay !!!! She needs lots of customer service because a My apologies ma'am goes along way # food was lukewarm but other than that 8 out of 10 I will indeed give the place a second chance

Why so serious

The atmosphere was nice and the place if very clean inside. My only concern was the food. I ordered the General Tso and Orange chicken. The sauce wasn’t that bad even though the Orange chicken had a strong vinegar taste. Both less than warm. It didn’t taste fresh. Keep in mind the time is only 12:45. I wish the food was more fresh.

Tried Sichuan Pepper Express recently and it honestly missed the mark. This isn’t your typical Chinese takeout spot, and unfortunately not in a good way. The noodles were a little too gummy, the fried rice was dry and lacked any real flavor, and even the sweet tea could’ve used some help. The sweet and sour pork was probably the biggest letdown it had a strange texture and just didn’t taste fresh. I will say the place is convenient. It’s fast, affordable, and they take Apple Pay, which is always a plus when you’re in a hurry. But if you’re looking for quality Chinese food that tastes freshly made and full of flavor, this probably isn’t going to be the spot for you. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but the food felt a little old and just didn’t have the comfort or flavor I was hoping for. That said, if you’re in a pinch and need something quick and cheap, it’ll get the job done. I’ve definitely had worse…times were tough growing up, so I know a budget meal when I see one. In this economy, sometimes fast and under $13 is enough. Also the girls here are so nice ! I’d come again just for them. Thank you so much for being so nice. I’m sure I looks confused.

Do not go here they try to be panda express so bad. The chicken orange chicken, and some of their entrées are very stale leaves a nasty taste. It’s very important to have fresh food for your customers but apparently when I went, it was very disappointing. They lost me as a customer for sure I used to go at least four times a week. Also, they have a problem with me asking for pepper black pepper for my soup, the manager and employees laughed at me telling me that it was gonna be the last time for them to give me black pepper. I will never go there again. These business owners need to realize that customers are the ones that keeps their business going.

The workers are straight flipping rude there are alot of elderly that came in here while I was here and they were just rude to all of them. I didnt have my glasses and asked what something was and they just pointed to the sign. If they dont like the job get another one it's that simple I will never come back here. I wonder if they treat there parents or grandparents like that its so unacceptable.
