The Market by Villa

Really good spot for breakfast when you’re on an early flight, and one of the few options other than Starbucks at 6am or earlier. The food is good and everyone there is always extremely friendly.

This restaurant deserves the 5 stars. A tall and skinny lady who attended me is very lovely. Every time that I travel, I go to the market by Villa and buy a market meal they're so delicious that the tall and skinny lady always attends me. I always want her to attend me.

Each time I travel through IAH, I stop by The Market. Always enjoy what they have to offer. Always good food and a nice variety. Crew does a good job and the assistant manager is always smiling and making sure you are taken care of.

This is ACTUALLY OPEN LATE! Life savers for a late night arrival/departure. Open late, til 10pm, when everywhere else closed. Hot entrees, salad, sandwiches, and more. Thank you for the speedy service too.

Night staff absolutely killed it during a day when everyone’s flights were cancelled or delayed due to thunderstorms and the airport was packed at 11 pm. The cashier was so friendly and calm despite it all, and kitchen staff was fast and efficient and calm.

Here is a picture of the pita I had ordered. It was sandwich not a pita (which is ok), veggies and everything scattered all over), did not have the courtesy to cut the sandwich into two.

$12 for fresh OJ = ice and only 60% full of juice. Really disappointing. $35.00 for two part full cups of OJ, a water, and a muffin. 😑

The hot food was flavored well but just ok because it was like warm and the bourbon chicken was kind of hard. I also didn’t like that the man that put my food in the container used his bare hand/finger to push a green bean in that was preventing the box from closing. Then used a glove to get someone’s sandwich so clearly he didn’t need to use his hand with my food.

I usually visit twice a week and have always enjoyed the professionalism and friendliness of your staff. However, this evening’s visit was disappointing. When I approached the counter, the new cashiers gave me odd looks, and the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable. I was also overcharged for extra chicken on my salad. I showed the manager, Karen, a receipt from last week that reflected no upcharge for the same order, but she seemed disinterested and told me it’s been that way for two months. Additionally, the male employee who prepared my salad appeared suspicious, which made the situation even more uneasy. As an airport employee this is very disappointing.

I told her that when she gets older she might realize that I have to make sure to put my mom’s health first. Clearly it was a language barrier. She told me in front of her coworkers, my elderly mother and my 12 yo son THIS IS THE US WE SPEAK ENGLISH HERE. What a racist comment, she said it to my face out loud several times. I told her that she should be able to understand or at least speak more languages maybe if she works in a big airport like this. What a racist person. Shame of this place having this type of people. Zero education, poor costumer service and discriminative behavior.

It’s basically fast food (nothing wrong with that) but it took over an hour to order and over another hour to pay. Their staff is RIDICULOUSLY slow. If you’re looking for “meh” food and an excruciatingly long wait, this is your place!
