The food was hot, fresh and quite tasty. The staff was friendly and very helpful. This is why this location is my favorite.

I have been coming to this location for quite a long time. The people that purchased it a couple years back have done great things with it. The food is always very fresh and delicious, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and the store is always clean. I would highly recommend stopping in.

If you want some fried chicken this is the place you want to go. This specific location. The other golden chick in weatherford is absolutely terrible. I didn't want to try this one after that one but I'm glad I did! Whenever your in the mood for friend chicken make sure you come here! Also if you have children they have a chicken machine inside the building. It's a quarter and the machine clucks like a chicken and gives you an egg with a really crappy toy inside. It's really fun. Plus they give you ice cream for free! This place is super fun and delicious!

The new spicy chicken sandwich is full of flavor. It's a little messy to eat, but worth it.

I can definitely say this is the best Golden Chick around. Always prompt service and food is very consistent. Compared to the one on Main Street in Weatherford it is obvious these have different ownership.

The food is hot and fresh no mater what time of day I go to the Golden Chick Hudson Oaks. The service is friendly and the members seem happy to work for you. There are a lot of good fast foods around Hudson Oaks but I usually pick Golden Chick because of the fresh food and kind service.

Thank you so much for offering something other than FRIED everything, unlike Chicken Express. My personal trainer busted me with a food journal, so I have to be good now. Everyone is uber nice, especially the GM, Jimmy.

This place, as well as one other, have really good chicken. A good alternative to a lot of the same stuff around here. The people are generally nice and the atmosphere is great whether you eat in or drive through. Always a good time and good food

I love the consistency. Service is always excellent and the food always delicious. I got the one with the spicy chicken, it’s nothing crazy spicy just a little ting you can enjoy. I always order an extra bread cause it’s the best I’ve ever had. Mashed potatoes also great. Definitely recommend if you’re ever in the mood for chicken.

We've never had a problem at this location and come often to get the family pack when we have dinner with my in laws. We think Golden Chick better than Chicken Express and drive even further, past a Chicken E just to get Golden. Thanks for always having great food!

Place is under new ownership! The owner is on site and at the counter working. She is super friendly and has placed service at the top of her agenda. While waiting for our order she offered us small free drink and came back to check in us and offered a roll. We have never seen service and courtesy of this kind. The food was very good today and I must admit it has not always been that way. We welcome the new owner and will be back to see her kind smile. Congratulations on your new adventure. They serve the best rolls! Chicken and fries were delicious along with the soft serve ice cream. Excellent customer service! My 2 boys were asking when we can eat there again. Definitely coming back!

Best Golden CHICK EVAH!!!! I have eaten at at least 10 Golden Chick locations. This one in HUDSON Oaks is awesome. The owner is friendly and the chicken and food is HOT cooked fresh and delicious. The fried chicken and catfish is perfectly cooked. Great job to a great owner and his staff.

Only negative is that the girl at the window bent my debit card in half, I heard it crack and she was super awkward about it. I told her it was fine, I would order another one, but she kept trying to say, “do you bend your card omg what happened” like no girl, you bent my card. I just heard it snap. 🤦🏻‍♀️ acknowledging it and taking accountability is better than being awkward and trying to blame me,

I had the spicy chicken tenders here and they were amazing. Hot fresh and delicious. Made to order and very polite people. This is my favorite place for fried chicken.

Had a great time at Golden Chick. The chicken fingers were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—exactly what I was craving. What made the visit even better was the friendly and welcoming staff, who made the whole experience feel warm and easy. Good food, kind people, and a simple meal done right.

The regular wings and dirty rice is now a favorite of mine.

This is a family owned business and they care about the quality of their food! Ask for fresh chicken and they will drop it for you. Much better than the new Chicken E right down the road! Definitely recommend.

In my humble opinion, Golden Chick is the best "fast food" chicken place to go. Always fresh, tastes great and their rolls are SO good! I live 30 or so minutes away and will go for a drive to get out of the house and to have some Golden Chick. By the way, the catfish is great too!

Very slow, filthy constructure all around and food was just thrown in bags. They didn't even make an effort to put the correct sides in the same bags. I'll give them this food was HOT!

It was my first time at any of the locations. I had the spicy 4 piece and it probably could have been better. It was completely over seasoned. After I wiped it off I was surprised that it's better than chicken E. I also might add that the green beans are slap yo momma good. Easy on the seasoning next time

Went drive-thru. Cashier was pleasant, voice was understandable. Service was a little slow, but the food was freshly cooked. The flavor of the chicken tenders was a little bland, but I couldn't add seasoning because I was eating on the fly. So, that's on me. All in all, a good experience.

Staffing and ordering can be a bit sketchy. Visited for the first time last week and really enjoyed the food. Began conjuring up ways to get back there. The second visit was acceptable not quite as good as the first. Parking lot is very small so large vehicles need extra effort. Overall good quality. As pricey as Chicken-E.

No restaurant is perfect everyone makes mistakes or has technical errors. That being said, What matters is what happens when these issue's do arise and how you handle them. Which in the case of this restaurant in my experience I would say that they will do everything they can to ensure you come back and have the best experience possible especially Jimmy he personally over saw an issue over the course of days until it was resolved. Will definitely be back 👍

The only bad thing is if you order it in the drive-thru, they don't drop the chicken in the oil until you "literally paid for it" not once you ordered it. Wait time 8min. I like the chicken tenders at this location. The teenagers that work here are generally polite and have good customer service skills. I don't like the recent price increase. 😕 I understand that the economy has changed...but this isn't California. This location lost me as customer due to the price hike. Overall this location is clean.

Ordered via doordash to avoid delays.... order was not ready when I arrived (at the set pick up time). Literally watched the fulfill the order thru the drive-thru window. However the food I received was good. Side note... gallon tea is $2.00 higher on doordash than at the store.

Had the chicken tenders they were good but they could have been hotter. Really liked the fried okra.

People that work there are super nice but I do not know what has happened to their chicken. I’ve always preferred Golden Chick over any other chicken establishment simply for their juicy delicious chicken. The last 3 or 4 times I’ve been there, their chicken is way overcooked and no flavor.

Ordered on line. Got to the store and they said they did not receive order. Showed them that my order had been sent to their store, and it said that it was ready for pick up and that the amount had been posted to my bank account. I have to hand it to them, they did go ahead and fulfill the order. Thank you young man.

The chicken tenders are smalll, the mashed potatoes and gravy both taste like they are both instant mixes. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich. She said it was a little too sweet for her. The food as a total was just so so. With today's cost the food has to to be better than so so.

I stopped here for dinner and ordered a 6 piece spicy tenders meal with fries, to-go. I received my food and went on my way. 10 minutes later, I opened the clamshell to eat my food, and realized they had given me the plain strips instead. Of course it was a to-go order, and I was too far up the road to go back and have them fix it and give me what I paid for. The service otherwise was good, the staff was friendly, and the food was good, despite that it wasn't what I ordered. If you get food from here, be sure to verify your order before you leave.

Great Chicken, but why are the zing sauce cups less than half full?

The portion sizes are smaller than expected for the amount of money that you pay and the actual Taste of the food while being somewhat subpar is actually more lacking in it's texture is actually more resemblance of a soggy McNugget on day 2

Went to the Hudsons Oaks Golden Chick..disappointed my tenders were not fresh and they were cold. Fries were greasy...normally everything hot and fresh ....

6:45 pm on a Monday an they were out of roasted chicken. It would be 20 mins till the next batch would be available. I didn't know I had to ask for gravy with the mashed potatoes.

Could have been the location or a bad batch but I ordered a 6 piece spicy tenders and they were very spicy but dry, tasted either old or just gross? More like old. Fries were dang delicious though lol not sure why with how bad that chicken was.. just be warned. I really believe Golden chick has some if not the best tenders out their for fast food joints. Though, chicken express has been more consistent. I really wish they would all be consistent with juicy flavored thin-ish crispy breading, with a balanced amount of spice when requested. I guess now I get why some locations only serve regular and gives out zing packets instead lol.

SO TIRED of getting ripped off by fast food places. Enough so that I'm asking myself why I buy it! No more. This place was great the first few times, but not only was our pickup order 10 min late (and they were NOT busy), but they left out part of my order. The other thing is weird: I have never seen such tiny chicken legs. I truly thought that they were wings...like the drumstick wings at Wingstop...they were that small. They have to be doing that purposely bc I have never seen drumsticks like that anywhere, let alone a CHICKEN place. I feel like that is a huge ripoff too...they are sourcing tiny legs to screw the public over while charging the same or more than their competitors, who serve normal sized meat. But the service in fast food places these days is such that sadly, I EXPECT things to be missing, errors on orders, bad service. Time to stop eating the unhealthy stuff and having these establishments get money for literally nothing. The manager here needs to step up. Rant over, we won't be back.

We paid $33+ for a 12 piece catfish dinner with 2 sides tonight and were SO disappointed with quality of the meal! There wasn’t any fish to speak of!’ It was like eating nothing but over fried corn meal!! So basically we were overcharged for mac n cheese and green beans! BOOOOOOOO. We have eaten the fish here before and it was great. Don’t know what happened but we are out money and still hungry. On an happy note the service is always great here.

Drive thru order taker paid no attention to my order. Ordered 2 meals, only got one. Gave wrong drinks and offered no receipt. Chicken strips were microscopic in size. I will NOT go back.

8:42 pm Sep 2 2020 I ordered 2 fish fillet and they were over cooked, crispy and dry. It's not like this during the day shift... I'm disappointed.

Sat in drive through for a minimum of 10 minutes with a line of cars behind me wrapping around the side of building with not a single person to acknowledge us.. not so much as a " we will be with you in a moment"... Pulled around to window due to aggravation at this point.. to have a young man look through the window at me and turn the other way. Sat for a matter of minutes listening to the beeper from the drive through go off inside and nobody still responding to it and still not being acknowledged at the window. Sadly this is one of my stops for my daughter after gymnastics. Wont be back.

Don't waste your time or money. The owners are not worthy of your business. I have ordered from them and the orde was wrong the majority of the time the owners are rude and untrustworthy.

Ordered the 9 piece wicked wings. Two were missing any spice but, the real issue was the size of the wings. They looked like they came off baby pigeons. The owner asked if I was enjoying my meal and when I told him the wings were tiny his response was that because of the weather we had been having the chickens were not eating and getting skinny. Really?? You think I'm that ignorant? Please. Go elsewhere if you want quality food.

Order a Family Size Mash potatoes and Gravy ,got home opened up had three Tea Spoons of mash potatoes, and about half of the gravy container was full. Not happy at all. Not the first time that it's happened. Will not be back. $15,00 Spent and still hungry. Ughhhhhhh

This used to my favorite fast food restaurant in Hudson oaks. The combination of shortening the gravy cups and a drastic drop in quality of the chicken has put me off of eating here. Truly a loss.

Sorry to say but the owner and management of this golden chick are the absolute worst restaurant owners in Texas. We have been there 4 times and 3 of the 4 the orders was wrong and the food was either cold or just taste bad.the management is rude and lied each time we call. We will never try this worthless place again.

Fried chicken is okay but one of the employees forced me to buy. I can cancel my order if i wanted. Friday Aug. 26, 2022 ordered Chicken Tenders, they were great. However before leaving i noticed 2 male employees without gloves on and one had a cold or allergy. He sneezed, used a napkin to clean his nose and didn't wash his hands. Then I saw the other male rubbing his nose & face. NO GLOVES OR HANDS WASHED. The women did fine. Everyone was polite. Don't want to go back. If I hadn't already paid and my order was ready I would have walked out. Thank goodness the women was the one that waited on me. I'm no nervous Covid nut but come on, through all this didn't anyone learn to wash their hands !

Absolutely ridiculous wait times. Waited 35 minutes for my food and they forgot items. Won't return to this location. Told the person that brought my food out that the wait was ridiculous and she was just speechless. Had nothing to say, didn't apologize, didn't explain, nothing. Just walked away from me. Very poor customer service and experience.

Just purchased $27 dollars for two Fish meals, the coleslaw was brown and warm (old?), waited about 7 minutes for the fish which looked and tasted like it was leftover from yesterday and rewarmed. This used to be a very consistent and good food. VERY SAD just lost a customer...

I went through the drive through ordered a 4 piece chicken meal with mashed potatoes&gravy & roll. The chicken was dry & tough I was given 3 tablespoons of mashed potaoes (not kidding) and bland flavorless glue tasting gravy for $11.90. I will definitely not go there again.

I'm upset and disappointed. I have purchased meals here daily for my corporation & employees for many years (maybe $10K annually!!!). They had a progam in 2023 where they provide a card to track meals and after 5 Stars, you get a free combo meal. I was reassured by Every Manager & the Owner multiple times that this card would not expire & it maintains it's value. I told them (and they know who I am) that I wanted to save my full ones as gifts. Eventually, my Great Grandfather came into town, and I happen to know his favorite place to eat is Golden Chick. I offered him a free meal at his favorite place, for his travels, using my corporate card with 5 stars. I called Golden Chick and verified that they would honor this purchase prior to sending him up there with my card. They said "Absolutely!! No problem!!". When my 80 year old Great Grandfather arrived about 20 minutes later to this location, and tried to order a Simple #1, they denied him usage of the card. Not only that, but they TOOK the card from him that I gave him, and told him that he still had to pay for his meal. I was ultimately incredibly embarrased that their management promised to honor this, over and over, even right before his arrival, and denied it upon his arrival. I'm taking my corporate business elsewhere, and will NEVER visit this establishment again. I hope it was worth the $8 to you guys. You've failed to agree to the deals you have made to our company, and took it out on an 80 Year old man. I can't forgive that.

We went through the drive through about 20 minutes ago. I debated on posting this but im so upset I just spent money here. I would take it back and ask for a refund but its so bad I'd have to return everything. My fries , ,and chicken were inedible. They are hard and cold. We ordered 12 rolls and half of them are hard, and the other half that would have been good were squished like pancakes and half pancakes. This was my first time eating at this location, after making it sound so good to my girlfriend and talking her out of driving to chicken express. Will be the last time I make that mistake.
