We had the pleasure of visiting Idyllwild for the weekend and spent the better part of our day trying every beer the brewery had to offer and wow were we blown away. We're definitely beer connoisseurs and it's been a long time since we enjoyed everything we tried! Staff were very kind especially since our big boy takes up a lot of room. They get super busy so I would suggest planning your visit not around lunch time.
We had such a great experience at Idlewild Brewpub! From the moment we walked in, everything was easy and welcoming. We were seated quickly, and the service was absolutely phenomenal. The woman who helped us had the biggest smile on her face and was genuinely happy to be there. She gave us wonderful recommendations and made us feel so taken care of the entire time. And the food… wow. Truly the highlight of our visit. Everything we tried was delicious — not a single bad bite — but our two favorites were the brussels sprouts and the butter burger. The brussels sprouts were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. But the real must-have is the butter burger. It was hands down the star of the table and something we’re still thinking about. If you’re in town, Idlewild Brewpub is absolutely worth a stop. Great service, amazing food, and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
I came here on a Saturday and they were quite busy, we were put on a wait. The waiting area is nice, it's outdoors on the patio. It has benches, tables and a nice view of the trees. Dogs are welcomed here, everywhere in Idyllwild allows dogs it seems. The majority of this restaurant is outside, it has a large patio. They have shades that can be pulled down when the sun is too strong. There is a nice view of trees. The food is really good! They offer vegan options such as crispy tofu that can be substituted on salads. They also had an impossible paty on the menu, but were out when I was there. I got an avocado salad with crispy tofu, it was really good! Their burgers look good as well. Parking is free and there is a big parking lot right in front of the pub. They also have a good selection of beers and also offer NA beer.
Fantastic Hazy. Great food. Said it would be an hour wait and then sat us in 15 minutes! We had an amazing server names Savannah. Will definitely be back here next time we are in Idylwild!

What a fantastic place! All 4 of us enjoyed lunch there last week. The food was top notch with lots of selections. Service was great even though it was very busy the day after a holiday. And on the patio they are dog-friendly. They had a lady handing out dog treats too. What a great experience we all had.
Had a quick trip to Idyllwild with some friends and we randomly found this spot. The vibe was way better than I expected — super chill but still lively. Even on a Sunday night, the place was pretty packed. I’m not a big drinker, but I tried their popular beer and it was actually really good! The food hit the spot too. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Idyllwild.
This brewpub is great! Don't miss it if you're in Idyllwild. The beers and smash burgers were delicious. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The facility was the perfect mix of indoor / outdoor seating. We will definitely return to this brewpub!!
After we tried to get pizza across the parking lot but they were renovating so we went to Idyllwild Brewpub, what a blessing this was! Super busy but we did end up getting a table inside for 2 right away. We ordered the Stone Creek Cod Sandwich (lettuce, tomato, lemon caper tartar, garlic aioli on toasted ciabatta roll) ordered the Campfire Burger (double smash patties, bacon aioli, smoky onion straws, bbq, mayo, cheddar on toasted brioche bun). Both we eally good but I enjoyed the Campfire Burger much more! Overall althought it was super busy our server, host, everyone was amazing, peak efficiency!
Great beer and chili. Nice atmosphere. So enjoyable, we ate here three of the four nights we spent in Idyllwild.
I was a little disappointed they didn’t have any sours so I got a Black Mountain Bourbon Smash, it was pretty good but if you don’t like bourbon don’t get it. I also got the Angry Mule Burger which was very good. I sat at the bar so there was no wait.
Go no further—if you’re looking for a really good burger and fries in Idyllwild, this is the spot! We checked out multiple reviews for other places in town, and we were so glad we chose the BrewPub. The burgers hit the spot, they are “smashed burger” patty style FYI, and the truffle fries were amazing—especially paired with their sauces like the smoky, bacon aioli. Their house-brewed beers were just as impressive. We tried the strawberry pilsner and the bohemian pilsner—both light, fresh, and crisp. Enjoying them on the patio, surrounded by forest trees after a mountain hike, made the experience even better. Highly recommend for a great meal and local craft beer in Idyllwild!
Fun little stop. Very lively. Excellent service and great food. They have an excellent selection of beers on tap & wonderful, caring service. I had the brussels sprouts & pretzels as appetizers. DELICIOUS cheese sauce and mustard dips. The brussels sprouts weren’t soggy like I’ve had at other restaurants. A+! I chose the fish and chips as my main course. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The french fries were perfectly seasoned. I’m excited to come back and try their mouthwatering smash burgers. We will definitely be back. At Idlewild Brewpub you can enjoy quality food with your family, at a price that won’t break the bank. Very rarely do any experiences, match the ambience of the beautiful trees and scenery of Idyllwild, but their Brewpub is truly worthy of a visit.
We tried the campfire burger and it was amazing! They smash the meat patties and put just the right amount of BBQ sauce and toppings to make it to perfection! The frys are cooked just right to where they are crispy and not mushy on the inside! The fries are cut to perfect sizes! The staff is amazing! Super friendly, attentive, and helpful employees! What a beautiful view from anywhere in the place! Can't wait to return and try more delicious food!
Took weekend ride with my friends. The Brewpub was well laid out restaurant. The restaurant has a great vibe about it. It's very inviting and clean. From the patio to indoor seating to the bathrooms. Place is very clean! You can tell the company cares about your experience at Idyllwild Brewpub! Food came out in timely manner. My only issue was appetizer came out with meal. Not a deal breaker. Just wish their timing was better ,that way the Food didn't goto waste. Everyone's meal came out warm and correct. We were all happy with our choices. Will stop by again.... Can't go wrong with idyllwild brew pub
Last Tuesday of each month the late afternoon parking lot party was so much fun with delicious food and country music. My friends, dog and I had some draft beers and a good assortment of food.
Absolutely loved our lunch at Idyllwild Brewpub! We had both the fish sandwich and a burger, everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The fries were perfectly crispy, the pickle was a great touch, and the whole vibe was super relaxed. What really made this place stand out? It’s incredibly dog-friendly. There were happy pups lounging all around the patio, and the staff was just as welcoming to them as they were to us. It’s hard to find spots that make it this easy to bring your furry friend along for a great meal. The patio is spacious and shaded with beautiful forest views, and the parking was a breeze compared to most of Idyllwild. Friendly service, delicious food, chill mountain vibes, and a dream spot for dog lovers. We’ll definitely be back!

Great beers and snacks! All of the appetizers looked good but we went with the pretzel and onion rings. We also tried the imperial stout (so good!), the hazy IPA, heferweizen, orange blonde, and raspberry blonde. The vibe is super nice outdoors, and the staff were all friendly!
A mountain escape with great beer, good food, and a vibe worth the ride. Unlike the desert below, this brewpub is tucked into the mountains, surrounded by towering evergreens and the sound of a creek nearby. The interior bar is perfect for watching the game, seamlessly flowing into a vibrant dining space or their open patio. Perched high in the forest, the whole space feels like a breath of fresh air — a place where you’re still at a restaurant, but just enough in nature to feel it working on you. The beer? Excellent. The food? Solid and well-matched to the atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to stay a little longer, especially if you’re escaping the valley heat for the afternoon. Service was mostly great — our server was friendly and attentive. That said, a bartender assisting us on two occasions gave off an energy that didn’t match the rest of the team: slapping down menus without a word, and handing off beers with a look that made things feel awkward. We weren’t sure if it was about us being bikers, but it was noticeable. Still, based on everything else — location, vibe, and overall experience — we’ll definitely be back with the family.
