Love the IB location. The place is not packed and the staff are very nice. Usually go there for Happy Hour Mondays but they changed the Happy hour food/drink prices so you will pay more for less food.

This particular Brigantine location was fantastic. Great service and food with a perfect location for an after meal walk on the beach. An easy recommend. Our server informed us lobster was currently the big thing so we ended up ordering a bunch of lobster dishes. We got the Pretzels for our appetizer, Grilled Lobster, Lobster Quesadilla, Lobster Tacos, and Parmesan Crusted Salmon for our mains. The pretzels were good. I believe they were fried as they had a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. The dipping sauces that came with it was "meh" though (mustards I think?). Good enough to eat without it. The quesadilla was quite good. Has the typical baja style taste and seasoned well though I'm not sure I'd say lobster goes well in quesadilla form. It's a little too "mushy" overall in my opinion compared to using meats like chicken or steak. The grilled lobster was grilled lobster. It was tender and juicy, no natural sweetness though again, well seasoned. The lobster tacos however stood out to me. While I'm not a fan of "soggy" corn tortillas, the way they do theirs here actually works. It is softer in texture and milder in taste compared to the regular run of the mill corn tortillas everyone uses. Perhaps because it's blue corn? The crispy exterior of the tempura is a nice texture contrast to the tender juicy lobster and soft tortilla. This dish was excellent. It came with "truffle fries" but I couldn't really taste any real truffle in it. Lastly was the parmesan salmon. While not anything super original, it was well seasoned with a moist and tender interior. The chefs here really know how to cook their seafood. I wouldn't say anything is of the "highest quality", but they are working very well with what they got. Yes this Brigantine location is an easy recommendation. While it's not exactly cheap, and the food isn't of the highest quality, it is good for what it is. Nothing super original, just some reliable classics (some with a twist) with good execution. The icing on the cake is being able to go for a walk after your meal because the beach is right across the street!

Excellent! Amelia the bartender was on point. Loved the food. Crab cake and the app Brussels sprouts excellent. Not a fan of the Shrimp and Carnitas tacos. I really expected the meat to be separate not mixed in one.

The Brigantine in Imperial Beach does the chain proud by delivering delicious seafood with relaxing beach vibes. Nice cold refreshing beers, yummy ahi tuna poke, lobster tempura tacos, and grilled swordfish, this is a meal that’s going to be replaying in my mind for a while. The service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Dog friendly patio. Definitely recommend!

A Perfect Taco Tuesday by the Beach! 🌮☀️🌊 I flew into San Diego today ✈️ and decided to try out a new beachside restaurant for lunch—and I’m so glad I did. It happened to be Taco Tuesday, so I went with three of their seafood tacos, and they were delicious 🐟🌮—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I didn’t care for the flour tortillas on one of the tacos because it became stale quickly, still edible, but you can tell the difference with the corn tortilla. The place had great energy 🌞 packed with people enjoying the lively vibe. There’s a large bar 🍹, plenty of booths, and both indoor and outdoor seating options, which is perfect for soaking in that coastal breeze 🌴. Even though there was some construction happening outside 🚧, it didn’t take away from the restaurant’s great ambience. There was music playing the whole time 🎶, creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive 😊. All in all, a fantastic spot to grab a bite by the beach—I would recommend it! ✅

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the lively atmosphere added to the enjoyment, especially being so close to the pier and beach. Our server, Julian, stood out with his warm welcome, extensive knowledge, and attentive service. I sampled the Brig Classic Calamari Strips and Coconut Shrimps, both of which were outstanding. Every bite was a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Visiting Imperial Beach. Decided to have dinner here. 1st time. Not busy at this time. Service was good and the food that much better. Fried calamari for an appetizer, and the main meal was hands down the best fish tacos I've ever had. Made with a grilled swordfish. Again, best I've had. Thr handmade chips were good, I used them to eat with the slaw. I'll definitely be back again. My server Andrew was cool

Brigantine was a beautiful spot to dine for an evening sunset view of Imperial Beach. Each dish was full of flavor and color. Presentation was phenomenal, making it hard to not dive in before grabbing a pic. The shrimp and crab fondue was a creamy goodness starter. The Lobster Bisque looked and smelled so delightful I dove in before snapping a pic. It did not disappoint! They had a generous selection of hot teas. They offer many options for alcoholic or regular beverages as well. Our main courses were soooo tasty and cooked to perfection! We overate and didn’t have room for dessert, although we wanted some. We made a reservation for this date & were seated immediately. Recommend doing so as it’s a fairly small establishment and seating is limited at peak times. It is handicapped accessible. They have Gluten Free options as well as Gluten Free alternatives. Can’t go wrong with this lovely restaurant. We would be most happy to return if ever back in Imperial Beach.

In town for work and wanted to grab dinner and watch the sunset. Expectations exceeded!!! Staff friendly and accommodating. Told my server I was from out of town and asked for her recommendation. WOW. Food was delicious, flavorful, fresh and perfect. Zero complaints. I lucked out. When back in the San Diego area I'll make the drive down. Can't recommend enough!!

Our first dining experience at Imperial Beach as soon as we arrivedin town, it was okay! Waitress was kind! Took awhile before someone was assigned to our table! The steak with blue cheese and gravy was not it! Shrimp and grits enjoyed by the mister and he ordered the steak as well we left the take out in our airbnb, our daughter seemed to enjoy the salmon! I kept it simply with shrimp ceasar and chowder.

Their Monday happy hour offers great value, with a menu featuring plenty of options that we thoroughly enjoyed. The calamari strips were a bit too oily for my preference, but still acceptable. The potato skins were delicious, and the onion rings were very tasty. The potato nachos were a delightful surprise. Overall, I would definitely recommend their happy hour; it was a pleasant experience.

GF next to menu item has to be ordered as GF - it is not implied unless specified to team member. Got flour tortilla served with my "gf" tacos. Our server was nice but forgetful. Food was delightful!

I’ve seen these locations all around and I had much higher expectations as far as taste. Sadly can’t say I enjoyed anything food wise. Brussels sprouts were a 3 1/2 at best. I think the sausage was an awkward pairing for the brussels sprouts. My wife agrees, and we both agree the sauce was good. The calamari was disappointing and that’s usually my favorite thing. My wife however enjoyed that it was more tender than crispy and not greasy. The white sauce that accompanied the calamari was disappointing. The macadamia crusted mahi-mahi was probably a two out of five and the veggies were too. The strawberry and mango iced tea fell flat sadly too. My wife’s opinion on the macadamia crusted mahi-mahi was it was good, but not great. She however really did enjoy the tea and dessert which was the s’mores brownie. My wife says the s’mores brownie was a 12 out of 10. I thought it was maybe a 7 out of 10. Nothing that I would go out of my way to get. Not a great first impression food wise. Service and atmosphere were five out of five though.

Family of 5 trip to the area.we did not have reservations and went on a Sunday, about 1:00 pm. We were seated right away, however by the time we left people were waiting to be seated. Service was great! Atmosphere, you almost can't get any better with being across the street from the beach yet very clean and beautiful inside. Food was ok. I am not a food snob by any means and I always make note of the best dishes I eat so here is my review on the food with photos. Food presentation was nice. Happy hour is available so I highly suggest that menu if you just want to sample items for your first trip or if you're not that hungry. 1. Appetizer Calamari- very chewy. I like my calamari kind is like a bite of good steak- I did not like it. 2. Fried Artichokes- the breading was light and were fried nicely however the artichokes were mushy. I did not like this dish. I am from the Bay Area so I know what they should taste like. 3. Nachos- they were nachos. My mom liked them. 4. Potato skins - nothing fancy, they were potato skins 5. Clam Chowder- nice flavor, creamy and thick. Not the best I've had but would order it again for sure. 6. Swordfish tacos- Tasty- would order again 7. Fish and Chips- fish was flaky and not dry. I would order this again. Fries were good. - Everyone at the table tried each item and consensus was reached by all on each dish. I would def go back to this restaurant for at least the service and Atmosphere. It's def worth a stop and you may have a difference of opinion on the food. Cheers! Oh! One last mention... parking across the street for $2.00 only!! Huge plus in my book!! And we only had to circle the block twice before a spot opened up. But it is a small lot. Maybe we were just lucky because it was St. Patrick's Day ☘️ 😊

I was ok. Had fish and chips ...thin, crispy batter which I prefer rather than thicker with less fish. Didn't taste much fish, and batter wasn't flavorful. Son had sword fish which was good. Waiter was reminded 3 times for water. May not see like a big deal but at those prices I expect much better service.

Maybe it’s my fault for getting steak at a sea food restaurant. The “medium rare” steak is well done and mostly gristle. Service was good. Stick to the sea food.
