5 stars for Trading Coffee Shop! The coffee here is top notch — rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and it’s the kind of place you can sit down and relax or catch up with a friend. The staff is friendly and go above and beyond. They even remember my name when I come in, and I’ve noticed they do the same for almost everyone. That kind of care really shows and makes you feel valued. Definitely one of my favorite coffee spots around!

One of two things: Great way to start your morning or great way to finish your workout. The atmosphere here is definitely everything I respect about an American business. Customer service is very personable. The food was great which was a surprise considering coffee shops are better known for their....coffee. Will definitely return.

Simply the best. My first time visiting San Diego and also having Trident Coffee which is simply fabulous. I had the honey lavender cappuccino, hot, and it is my favorite. I also had a sip of my partner’s Americano with oat milk and brown sugar and it tasted so goood! Definitely recommend anyone who’s looking for a delicious cup of coffee and most definitely would recommend for those looking to spend some time here. There is plenty of space and tables for you to do some work if needed. Saw plenty of ppl doing work on laptops and being productive both inside and outside. WiFi is fast and reliable, electric outlets easy to reach and the view is calming. Huge windows for plenty of natural light and breeze to come through. The staff is friendly and kind and very quick with their service. 5 stars! Oh yeah! This location is nearby a bike/walk trail near the water.

I’m Brazilian, and this coffee in the picture is the best I’ve had in US since I moved here (and I’ve tried coffee on both coasts!) The mocha I had at the store was really good as well! My new fav coffee place! Ps. If you have a Keurig like I do, I recommend using the iced coffee mode and small size, so your coffee won’t be watery 😉

I went to Trident Coffee in Imperial Beach for my first time the other day. It was an awesome experience! My friend and I ordered a blackberry cobbler cold brew, Midnight Vietnamese, an espresso shot, two protein donuts, and a bacon & egg empanada. First off, the space is, well, quite spacious. With a high ceiling, plenty of seating, nice seats, indoor plants, and cool lighting fixtures, the place has a great vibe. The cafe also gets a good amount of natural lighting which livens it up. The coffee drinks were delicious. The Midnight Vietnamese was an activated charcoal latte, and I swapped whole milk for coconut milk—it was unique and with the coconut milk it reminded me of the traditional coconut affogatos they serve in Vietnam. The blackberry cobbler cold brew was really nice as well. I should mention that this shop allows you to do a ton of interesting add-ins to your drinks, like mushrooms, ashwagandha, maca root, and l-theanine — pretty unique. Finally, the food was pretty good overall as well. The donuts were very tasty, especially the lemon poppy. I didn’t expect them to have such great texture after they told us they were high-protein donuts. The texture was absolutely heavenly—such a tender dough. The empanada was decent—not the greatest, but it had a good amount of filling and was quite large. I highly recommend checking Trident coffee out. It’s an awesome coffee shop with good people, and it’s also right beside some really nice walking trails along the end of the bay.

Trident has flavor packed coffee thats a good alternative to the mainstream spots. Armae was extremely friendly and helpful. She served our coffee fast after helping us taste a few cold brews. This place has a great location. I would recommend this place to any locals who want to show off the best of San Diego! RECOMMEND: El Capitan, Midnight Vietnamese, and all the pastries.

Lovely hidden coffee shop. Lots of different drink options. They also have vegan protein donuts. The workers were patient with me and provided good options based off my preferences. Decided on the New Orleans Cold Foam. It was light and not overly sweet. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seated. Located next to an awesome walking/bike path.

I've been coming here for years, and Trident's wide variety of coffee is truly unique and among the best in San Diego. They also offer nitro coffee with a range of delicious flavors. Sebastian, the cashier, was exceptionally friendly and helpful during our visit. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

This coffee place is in the perfect spot. When you're ready to go on your trails.Walking or biking you can stop here first before heading out. I've never seen brew coffee on tap which was super cool. The stuff was really nice and it had different coffee names and recipes I hadn't had before. I definitely recommend this place..especially for our coffee heads out there
