Bob's Pizza Inverigo Reviews
This was our first time going to Bob's or having their pizza since moving to Hyde Park. We ordered Bob's Sausage Pizza for dine in. I also had an Edmund Fitzgerald porter in a can. You order at a counter & your food and drinks are brought to your table. The pizza came out quickly & it was perfectly cooked. Thin, crispy crust & fresh toppings. The sausage was stellar! The atmosphere is casual & they have music playing at a higher volume, but we weren't struggling to talk over it by any means. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely meal!
This has been one of my favorite pizza! Its always consistent and delicious. It seems they may be a little understaffed but overall very friendly and attentive!! I always recommend .
OK… so going to give you some real thoughts here. Chicago is doing way more than just 30lbs of deep dish. Bob’s Pizza is RIDICULOUS! This is one of the best Pizza I have ever had… and that includes Italy, NY and ChiTown DD! It is almost as good as mine out of the backyard wood fired oven. Seriously, we all need to stop comparing Pizza and trying to decide which is best! If you get a great pie made with creativity, great ingredients and love! You have the best pizza in front of you in that moment! Doesn’t get any better than that! Bob’s in Hyde Park was fantastic. Great specialty pizza and the crew was amazing! Crust was Phenomenal!! Ty has her crew humming with Ish delivering great service. Very casual and comfortable vibe… and let’s be honest… great tunes! Thank you! So many great Resteraunt’s in the area… but don’t leave without trying Bob’s Pizza.
Pizza was DELISH! Ordered during an outdoor jazz event that took place in the courtyard/parking lot. Dug into it so quickly I forgot to take pics. We'll definitely order again. 😋
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bob’s Pizza in Hyde Park is hands down one of the best spots in the city! 🍕 From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family. Ty and Brandy are absolute gems — friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about making your visit special. Ty has a way of remembering faces and making sure your order is just right, while Brandy brings such warmth and energy that you can’t help but leave with a smile. On top of the amazing service, the pizza is next-level — perfectly crisp crust, fresh toppings, and flavors that keep you coming back. If you want great food and even better people, Bob’s in Hyde Park is the place to be. Big thanks to Ty and Brandy for making every visit special. Danny & Carla Tampa florida
Had a great experience last night at Bob’s Pizza in Hyde Park. Our waitress (Omawale) was top notch with her customer service and the food was delicious. We had the pickle pizza, cheese curds, and meatballs. Portions were plentiful and the drinks were great as well. We had the Lavender Fizz and the pineapple margarita. Yum! 😋
I’ve tried a ton of pizza places in Chicago and the suburbs and this place is the best. I don’t know what they do to season their pizza, but their cheese has more flavor than any cheese I’ve ever had. There is a zing to it… a zesty-ness I can’t get enough of. I am truly obsessed. I placed this order for the UChicago Fossil Lab today (usually we get Giordano’s but it was closed for some reason, so someone in the group recommended Bob’s), and we are planning to order from Bob’s for now on! I ordered over the phone, and the guy who took my order was super sweet and gave great advice on the number of pizzas and how it’s sliced etc. I picked the pizza up, and met the person who took my order, and he had excellent customer service. I don’t know what your name is sir, but that you for being so kind. Inside there are tables and booths and a bar. Outside, the road to drive up to the restaurant was blocked, so I parked down the street. I’m not sure if there is dedicated parking, but I will find out next time. And, although my order wasn’t at the right time for it, they have happy hour M-F from 16:00-17:00 where you order one pizza get the second free. You can’t beat that! If you haven’t been here, make sure you give it a try!
My friend and I decided to give Bobs pizza a try. I will say the owner was super friendly! I will say the service was slow but, that was due to the event that happened during the day and he was short staffed. I will say the cheese curds were one of the best I have had! And the wild mushroom pizza was legit one of the best I have had!
The service was unrushed, which is a charitable way of putting it. But they got the job done correctly and pleasantly. The dining area is functional, but nothing exceptional. The food was fantastic. The beer battered curds were really delicious and unique. The pizza exceeded my expectations. The crust was neither thick nor thin but had a combination of fluffiness and crunch that would be hard to beat. We tried the chicken sausage style, and it was great. I don't normally like pizza, but I liked this pizza.
By far the best pizza I've had in Hyde Park. We got the pickle pizza and the pepperoni and they were both delicious. The crust was so good. The cheese curds were also delicious, as were the brussels sprouts. It's a bit pricey, but if you order between 4 and 5 Monday through Thursday they do BOGO for pizzas! This makes it a fantastic deal. This is definitely going to be my go-to place for pizza night.
This is such a great addition to Hyde Park! We’ve gone to Bob’s several times now and have tired almost every pizza they have. Every one we’ve gotten has been great! They have unique pizza options that are so good and even the classic options like pepperoni are executed so well. My favorites are the Bob Kim (pictured - sad that it’s limited time because it is so unique and delicious!), Spinach Pesto & Stracciatella, The Original Pickle Pizza (pictured), and Pepperoni. The pepperoni is also great when you add the garlic honey on top. But truly, it’s hard to pick favorites because they’re all very good. The cocktails are very tasty too, with several frozen options that are refreshing. I think the drink options will cover many preferences. For example, if you like sweeter cocktails they have a frozen Irish Coffee Milkshake that’s great and if you like more refreshing or tangy cocktails they have a frozen French 75 and Lavender Fizz. Of course they also have some beers and wine. I used to not order much food beyond the pizza since that is filling already, but after trying the Garlic Parmesan & Herb fries, and the Hot Blue Cheese & Scallions fries, it’s hard not to get them every time (both fries pictured). They’re delicious and only $7! That’s fairly cheap for an appetizer in my opinion. I think it’s also really nice that you can get 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas and get to try more flavors without having to order a full pizza of each one. They also have that amazing Happy Hour deal during the week where you can buy one pizza and get another free. Also, the prices of the pizza are very reasonable to me. I thought at first I might be overspending, but really two slices is very filling and my boyfriend hasn’t been able to eat more than three slices at a time. So even though it’s thin crust, you really get a full and satisfying meal. I’ve never ordered anything from here that I didn’t enjoy a lot! Dine in, takeout, and delivery have all been great for us - the pizzas hold up well. Aside from the food, the place itself has a great atmosphere and is painted/decorated really cool. The service is also great. The servers are very kind and attentive! I hope more and more people discover Bob’s because it’s an all around great place to dine and I hope it stays in Hyde Park for a long time!
It was as good as other locations! I went to Pilsen and Old Town before. Love their flavors. But Smoked Chicken Sausage is my favorite pizza and I can only find it in Hype Park location. DEAR MATT and BOB, can you keep it in the Pilsen location too? Wild Mushroom is my go to choice, everything else is very good. we ordered 4 pizza for 3 people yesterday because we are regulars at other locations. Other than pizza, you should totally try their salad. I know, it sounds crazy but the Brussel sprouts salad is the best and them fries. Oh leftover pizza is still really great too. And heat it in the oven please. Convection toaster does not do the pizza justice. LOVE your food!
Fantastic staff, environment and pizza. Came in at 8:00 and ordered water and pepperoni pizza because we were new in town. Served by Matt, who brought us a pitcher of refills and prompt pizza. Best pizza I’ve ever had; crust had a light char, perfect ratio of cheese-to-pepperoni, and seasoned beautifully. Described by staff as a mash-up of New York and Metropolitan. A regular pizza is 26” and will feed 2-3 people. We walked in and it was abandoned the whole time, but I’m sure it will soon be found out! Well done!
Started off great at 1st glance, after bout 5 minutes you realize it’s a bit of a septic tank issue. The restaurant smells like a hamster cage tables had crumbs and sliver was disgusting 🤮. The pizza slice smells and looks great but I honestly didnt want to eat it after getting it so I just put it in a take out box to go .
Pizza was umm very good. The size of the pizza is huge. Order with care though one can box the leftovers. Even garlic sticks were good. They say 3 pcs in plate , actually one gets 6 slices. So order but be aware. Must go if one is in Hyde park. Real good pizza. Not heavy on stomach too One negative point is their unkempt bathrooms. No tissue roll inside etc. but this can be checked first n one can request them for the same.
Great slice of Pilsen-style pizza... Had the pepperoni and was nice n hot... Crust had a nice crunch and crispiness to it, but not dry. Sauce had good flavor and wasn't too sweet... Nice little bar inside, can have a cocktail while you wait for your pie...
Bob's in Hyde Park and Pilsen is a quick and reliable pizza spot for dine in, ordering take out and delivery. I've had the pleasure of enjoying high quality ingredients, pizza packed with flavor and thick cut fries dressed with garlic, herb and parmesan. Their pepperoni pizza is my favorite, but the sausage and margherita is pretty good too. The staff is always friendly, never gets my order wrong and sometimes they take the time to draw adorable characters on your box or bag.
I’ve had pizza once at Bobs and liked it, so the medium rating is for that. But for the wings we recently got takeaway of? 0 stars. We ordered one order of garlic and one of buffalo. A positively whopping $35 for 16 wings. Ok they’re billed as jumbo wing? When we got home we see they’ve given us two orders of the garlic, so they got our order wrong. They’re small and definitely not worth $3 a wing. But worse is their taste. Extremely dessicated like someone had dried them in a dehydrator. Some pieces were hard. I’m so disappointed. Very bad and expensive experience.
A chick whos on the phone and frustrated took my order wrong 3 times. asked her to put her phone down she started crying 😂😂🤞🏿. I got a free slice that I was told would be pickle but it was cheese when I took it out to eat it . The staff is pretty off at this location. Evanston‘s location was better.
Frustrated with this place, that has AWESOME and delicious pizza. They've limited their bar. Fine. But the people serving are just straight chilling when you're there. The woman behind the bar walked in, plugged her phone in behind the bar and was doubled over scrolling. Would've gotten more drinks but had to get her attention to even close out. Could not close out behind the bar with cash so she had me walk over to the front station. Just bring me the bill, take my cash, and bring me the change! Is this a restaurant or a McDonald's? Won't be wasting my time here again.
