Carlos was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, professional, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and everything was handled with great attention and care. Carlos truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Food quality is exceptional and always delicious. Hugo is wonderful and gave my party free cookies :) only complaint is that the music could be a bit more upbeat but overall one of my top places to eat! Love it here!

Came in for a late dinner after a long day. I just wanted something healthy and delicious. Food came out fast. Customer service was excellent, Carlos kept checking that everything was amazing for us. Made sure our area was clean at all times. He is very polite!

I usually shy away from chicken dishes cuz the chicken tends to be dry, but I was actually surprised at how moist it was! It was a great, lively atmosphere that our 1 year old enjoyed as well! Having lived in Tustin for 8 years now, I’m a bit ashamed to say I’ve never been to Urban Plates for reasons I don’t know. I’ve been wanting to come for a while and my partner and I finally made it in when we had a child-free night to ourselves. My mom is from England so I’m a big fan of roast dinners - no it’s not a full English roast but it offers the same fresh, hearty, and comforting taste that I grew up with. I love steak and I love it most when steak isn’t well done…the grass fed steak had the perfect amount of pink and was so tender. The roasted Brussel sprouts were also cooked perfectly, and the (very) generous serving of mashed potatoes was smooth, creamy, and just buttery enough (I didn’t get gravy). My partner ordered the chicken club with fries and a side of tomato basil soup…he ate all that in about 10 minutes. Again, huge serving and very fresh looking food. We sat outside with the fire and I’m kicking myself for not coming by sooner. Ambience is cosy and very family friendly, food is delicious and service was super quick and friendly. Thank you, Hugo, and staff for a wonderful first time. We will be back!!

We chose Urban Plates in Irvine for our Sunday supper this past weekend and loved every bite! Their menu is full of healthy, flavorful options, all freshly made to order with great-quality ingredients. We enjoyed the seared tuna plate, steak chimichurri, Thai chicken salad, surf & turf plate, and a steak sandwich with chicken tortilla soup. Everything was delicious, but our favorites were definitely the Thai chicken salad, the tortilla soup, and the surf & turf platter. Dessert was a showstopper—beautifully decorated and absolutely to die for. The Mango Tart and Hummingbird Cake were standouts (and yes, the flowers on top are edible!). The restaurant itself is warm, cozy, and stylishly modern. Service was quick and kind, and a big thank-you to Izzy, the manager on duty, and her team for their attentive, welcoming hospitality. We’ll definitely be back soon for another relaxed, flavorful meal and those unforgettable desserts!

This was my second time eating at Urban Plates, the first being at the location in Long Beach. That was a very pleasant experience and I was left feeling more than satisfied with the food I had so I had high hopes coming into this one. This time around, I ordered the three chicken tender meal with sides of Mac and cheese and mushroom stuffing. It was so so delicious and filling. The tenders were juicy and a good size, and the spice level left me surprised. I ordered them Nashville hot and they came very spicy, which is always welcome. The sides I had were also delicious with the stuffing leaving something to be desired but it was still good. The Mac and cheese was my favorite as it was the right amount of cheese and texture. Though we did have to wait quite a while for our food which I thought was strange because there were not many other people in the restaurant, I didn’t mind it much. The servers and staff were all very warm and friendly, especially the man who took our order. Eating at Urban Plates I feel has really shown me the difference in buying meals that are a bit pricier but at the same time, are of a higher quality due to the ingredients. I feel like it is so good because they are using some great ingredients that other places typically would not. That being said, the portions are more than generous and fair which is another reason to return which I most definitely will.

Way too many ways to order. Kiosk when you enter but another sign ways to go to counter to order. Probably helpful when its busy but on a quiet night...I was unsure where to go. Liked the dinner choices...Surf and Turf was pretty good. Medium rare steak and nicely cooked shrimp. Sesame broccoli was solid, mushroom stuffing was either mushy and wet or very dry. I would avoid it. Enjoyed the patio seating with fire for a restful evening. Definitely worth checking out.

I am submitting this complaint regarding the steak I received in my order. As shown in the photo, I specifically requested my steak WELL DONE, and I even selected the “Well Done” option when ordering online. However, the restaurant delivered a steak that was clearly medium rare, which is unacceptable. The meat was undercooked to the point where I could not eat it safely. I had to cook the steak again at home in order to make it edible (See second picture) This restaurant is not cooking the meat properly, and serving undercooked beef can be harmful for some people. I expect better attention to customer instructions and proper food preparation.
