WaBa Grill Irvine Reviews
Food was great. We had tomato, egg noodlels, vegetables on fried noodles and garlic kelp...it was all awesome.
The braised beef noodle is great. They give multiple big chunks of beef which are super soft. It’s only $14.
It’s not just a noodle place. We ordered some dishes and it’s delicious. The place is clean and the staff is friendly.

Great clean restaurant, cozy atmosphere, fast service. We ordered fried meat pie and steamed pork and leek dumplings. Super delicious! It seems people with bad reviews have ordered noodles and with high expectations. I can say for what I ate and experienced here, it's five star food and service 👍
Super good! We had the house dumplings, braised beef noodle soup and diced beef chili noodle bowl. Everything was delicious. The dumplings were my favorite and served in a garlicy sauce. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food. My wife and I ordered the noodles with bean paste and minced pork rice- both were very tasty. The owner was very friendly as well. If only it were closer to where we live in San Diego, we’d be eating here all the time.

First time: Good-tasting dumplings. The ordering process and the service was difficult for people who are unfamiliar with Chinese cuisine. There are no descriptions for any of the dishes. We ordered something called Spring Cake, and the server said it was “like a burrito”. That is not true. It is a basket with 4 tortilla-like flat “cakes”. I guess you’re supposed to order filling for it, but that is not clear on the menu and the server did not explain that to us. Second time: The scallion pancake is good. Like fried dough with scallions in it. I got the chicken soup with dumplings. Again, because there is no description I didn’t know the broth had Sichuan peppercorns in it. I do not like those. The dumplings were still good however
Visiting from out of town. Take out. Food was very delayed and service ack. Food was ok. Beef as tender. Noodles were fresh. Soup didn’t have as much flavor. Beans had too much garlic.
To go review only and first time here. Ordered in person, their popular Braised Beef Noodle soup. Had a separate soup container and a noodles bowl, were easy to mix the two together. The beef cubes were tender and noodles are cooked well- not too hard or soft. I asked for spicy level 1, which was just right with slight spiciness. You could also order it non-spicy as well. The soup could have been more flavourful and hotter temp though. Took about 5 minutes to get it as promised in the early afternoon hour, no one was dining inside, but the restaurant seems to be clean and they have different delivery options and takeout order machine if they are busy. There are outside general tables in the plaza you can eat at, but they don't serve outside.
We ran into this little noodles shop by accident. We ordered beef noodles soup and eggplant spicy pork noodles, both were very tasty. The waitress were very nice and very good service.

Food was delicious. First time trying it and wow very authentic and full of flavors. I recommend Beijing Noodle House to everyone
The atmosphere is comfortable and clean. The food is authentic Chinese and delicious! The noodles with eggplant and pork was very good, although I could've used a little more sauce on the noodles. The pork was sliced pork belly and it was tender and tasty. Plenty of both pork and eggplant in my serving. The mini streamed buns were also very good! Will definitely come again!
My actual overall rating for this place is 3.5/5 stars, but Google Reviews doesn't let me half stars. I just picked to give it a 4-star in the system since it's still something worth mentioning as a food option, but I'd recommend a few places over this one if you have easy access to transportation. I visited this location about a week ago and had their Braised Beef Noodle since it was listed under "Chef's Recommendation" and they had a lot of advertising for it. First off, the noodle soup was good and the portioning was enough to be filling, but I wouldn't really call it authentic since it felt/tasted more like an imitation (maybe another way of saying it is that it felt "white-washed" similar to how people refer to Panda Express as Chinese food). It was good enough to satisfy my hunger and cravings, but I'd rather commit an extra 10 minute drive for something that tastes more authentic at the same price point.

The place was empty when we first came in and I understood why. The table we were seated at was very sticky and dirty. We got the Chongqing street noodle with pork, the diced beef with fresh chili noodles, and the sliced beef & ox organs in chili sauce. The food itself was ok. Nothing special and it seemed a bit lacking compared to another noodle place in Irvine with similar offerings. This place seems to focus more on to-go orders than the dine in experience.

Having the noodles a few times which was pretty good, so we decided to try the pork slices today. And apparently, it’s not the portion supposed to look like for $20 (excluding the fees and tips :((((

I am so sad. I went here at 9:10pm, ordered the food and after I paid I was told I cannot eat inside the store. I ordered Braised Rice with Pork which is about 17 dollars with tax and it contains very little meat. The food was premade, well if that is common… I don’t know why they even don’t heat the food through. Now I am wasting my money eating cold food on a cold night.
Been there a couple of times. The food is fine but the waitress needs training or replacing. The last time I called for take out but when I arrived to pick up— surprise surprise— the waitress FORGOT to put in my order. I drove 30 minutes (!) to get there and left empty-handed. She was not even apologetic or offered to make up for my loss, just asked flatly if I wanted to wait another 20 minutes so the kitchen would start my forgotten order. She said she’s been busy and forgot about my order. Wow.

Our second but last visit was today for lunch. There was not a single staff member who could speak English to take the simplest order. Just wanted to order a "Noodle with Bean Paste" as it is written on the menu. Noodle with Pork was what we got! We had to send it back many times because it was wrong and finally we had to cancel totally. so sorry for this qualified looking Place.

I have been here twice. The special dish, 炸酱面, is terrible. I have had this many times in China. This is cannot even be compared. It just tastes bad. The boiled dumplings (饺子) are worse than any Chinese fast food restaurant in mainland China. They do not even know how to serve then. By American standards they are still very disappointing. Also, they do not have hot water. Never heard of that
Really disappointed. 2nd time here, first time was great. However this time we ordered the braised beef noodles and the beef was literally all gristle and fat. When we asked for it to be fixed or to get something different they refused and offered a 20% discount. So we still had to pay for something that was inedible. Won't be back
