Kung Fu Tea Ithaca Reviews
Pretty good milk tea and boba. Got a Thai milk tea with mango jelly and didn’t regret it.
Always fast and good. I love getting their brown sugar Ginger tea when my throat is feeling sick, always makes me feel better. I prefer their bubbles to most other brands since their bubbles are never too chewy and have their own flavor.
I visited this place five years ago, it converted me into a milk tea lover. I came here on June 13th, 2020 and it still has the same taste as five years before.
Tried Oolong milky boba 🧋 tea. Loved 🥰 it.

I usually only try milk teas with bubbles at Boba tea places. in my opinion, Kung Fu Tea does a great job blending the flavors well with the milk and the bubbles are usually both chewy and soft. KF milk tea, Taro, ginger brown sugar are some of my favorites! Other than the milk teas, the Lychee punch is awesome! The staff isn't the nicest or the friendliest, like the other Ithaca restaurants but I think I can still go to get the best bubble tea in Collegetown and perhaps Ithaca! Another complaint I have is the unpredictable opening hours of this place. For an entire spring month, whenever I made a trip to KFTea, it was either not open yet for the day, closed or just closing! I feel like it could be a really cool late night spot if only they could open it consistently and maybe extend the hours a bit!
👍 I was just plain impressed. I'll admit it, this was my first bubble tea experience. While I'm still not sold on the "bubbles", the tasty beverage I received will have me coming back. While waiting for my drink, I was memorized by the efficiency of the operation, particularly the young woman taking orders and operating the register. So crisp and clean in how she handled all of it. Kudos!!
I only ever get the Kung Fu Milk Tea, or sometimes the Taro Milk Tea, and they're both delicious every time. The place is almost always swarmed with Cornell students, but that still doesn't make it very inconvenient. You're in and out in a timely fashion.
Kung Fu Tea has a great variety of options that allows every person in a group to get something they like. Compared to the other bubble tea places in collegetown, this one has more sweet teas.
My absolute favorite boba chain! Menu is easy to understand, you can customize the sugar level and the amount of boba in your drink. The rose hip milk tea is my all time favorite drink ever. The location is very convenient to many restaurants right outside Cornell University. The staff here are always nice and they're very efficient. Check hours ahead of time because sometimes this shop closes during the school off season. But I come here every time I'm in Ithaca and if I'm in a different town I seek out kung fu tea.
The boba tea is amazing! I loved it! The service is great, they were very polite and nice. They have an unique flavor!
Awesome little place with a big menu! I got the matcha tea with a milk cap and it was amazing! Super delicious, had a great time, there is limited inside seating and as with most college town store fronts it is a little tight inside. Boba was super good though with reasonable prices!
Fun but crowded space with just a few tables and plenty of customers. Service is fast and friendly and the tea is nice. Kung Fu Tea always looked full of students so I went in to see why it's so popular; had the coconut milk tea and it's definitely good. If you don't mind crowds, check this place out.
Love their honey tea! You can adjust sugar level and ice level which I love! Personally I don't like the herbal jelly and I just get regular bobba but husband loves it. They are not powdered bubble tea like Panda tea house, but in exchange they are more expensive than Panda tea house. They don't open regularly when Cornell is not in season tho. Also hard to find parking since it's street parking. They don't accept card unless it's above $8? $9? So bring cash if you are just ordering one.
The tea was really good!!! I usually don’t like these tea but it was very delicious. Totally recommend it!!! The people was very nice and it was a quiet place
Given it's a chain, KFT has consistently good flavors (especially for those with a sweet tooth). This location recently reorganized their layout so there is more seating space, but during peak times can feel quite crowded. Mobile orders are very convenient and orders are generally made quite quickly unless it is during peak hours.

The bubble tea is consistently very good. They have all the options you would expect from a Kung Fu Tea, and you can customize sugar and ice levels to your liking. I recommend a Thai Milk tea, especially if you like Thai iced tea. Unfortunately, they have a $7 credit/debit card minimum so if you don’t have cash, go with a friend or get two teas and save one for later.

Bubble tea was good. The place is pretty small and the business seems to still be unpacking - still boxes on the floor. Some of the seats were ripped and looked pretty old. Large menu selection and if you're not hoping to sit there and hang out, then definitely try it out for the tea. Atmosphere/seating isn't great if you are looking for a place to hang out for a while or work on laptop or something.
Delicious Tea and Slush drinks, but the service is a little on the lacking side. Other's drinks were sitting on the counter before the order taker took charge in finding them.

Delicious Oreo slush Boba tea, but the decor is severely lacking. The store is beat up and run down, and there are boxes all over the place. It’s hard to imagine how they’ll stay in business when U Tea, right up the street, is so much more modern, elegant, and refined inside.
Ran out of boba -1 star (I ordered 15 mins before close but still unacceptable). Took too long -1 star. Strawberry milk tea was immaculate
