Lev Kitchen Ithaca Reviews
Awesome restaurant. The food was excellent. They really care about the ingredients and preparation. Great char on the bread, juicy chicken and flavor was fantastic!! Great spot!
This place is incredible. I am continuously blown away by the portions, flavors, and variety on the menu. Also, our most recent server Patrick was so friendly and attentive. I’ve gotten multiple malawach wraps for breakfast and dinner and each one has been divine. They do not skimp on portions. Get the zaatar chicken wrap and falafel wrap, and also any of the breakfast wraps. My favorite place in Ithaca
My favorite fast-casual restaurant in Ithaca, located in Downtown. They serve middle eastern food, specialized in Malawach (flatbread). I keep coming back for more than 10 times! The food is authentic and the price is decent. Staff here are also very nice. They serve breakfast menu until 11 a.m. and all-day menu.
Had lunch here, we ordered a couple of different Malachi wraps and then the fries were suggested - oh my, get the Kennebec fries. So amazing! Everyone was super friendly, food was fantastic. This is a great spot and we absolutely will make a point to get to this place every time we visit Ithaca!
I had the beet salad with falafels and then asked for spicy peppers on the side, it was delicious!! Falafels were some of the best I've had. While the portion seemed small the salad filled me up. We also had a sandwich which was equally as tasty. Definitely a new place downtown to check out !
First order and the food comes to table. This is probably best fast food in Ithaca. I struggle to name it fast food. All ingredients are well chosen and mingled. The taste reflects highest caliber of the cook. Wish you have time for breakfast.
Back in Ithaca after being away for a few years, and have found my new favorite eatery on the Commons! Got breakfast here and will probably get it again before I leave! The food is amazing, the serving sizes are plentiful, and the staff is very friendly! Highly recommend getting anything with oyster mushrooms or the bacon. If you are grabbing breakfast, upgrade to the duck or goose eggs they are absolutely worth it! 😍
Recently visited this Mediterranea Restaurant at the Commons and had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, especially the bread, which I loved. I tried the spice and sweet chicken wrap, and it was amazing. While the menu doesn’t offer a lot of options for drinks and food, everything they do have is of exceptional taste. The restaurant is slightly crowded due to its small size, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite this, I plan to visit again soon to enjoy the food and outdoor sitting there. The staffs were great too.
Lev Kitchen has got to be one of the best restaurants in Ithaca. Although a tiny space there is so much flavor, so much atmosphere, so much passion within these walls. Having eaten here both dine in and to go, I have never had a negative experience. The Kennebec French Fries are divinely out of this world. The herbaceousness of the scallion and cilantro paired with the cool creaminess of the chèvre, the heat of the pickled fresnos, and the salty smoky sweet Urfa aioli make for an absolute perfect dish. The falafel in the malawach was fried beautifully with the refreshing zing of the pickled onion on a hot day. The malawach wrap itself was hearty, filling, without being too heavy. It was light while being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. In the past I have had the beet salad, which is near perfectly refined within itself. However this was last year and I assume their menu has variations to accommodate seasonality. Thank you for a memorable meal that makes a Culinarian smile brightly.
I went here today for the first time. It is brutally hot outside, so I wanted something light and refreshing. The fatoush salad was perfect! It was so fresh and delicious. I tried one of the kombuchas, and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to come back and sample more of the menu items. Update: Today I ate here instead of the apple festival food. I had the Mamalawach, which had a wonderful balance of flavors. Sadly, they were out of the falafel because I really wanted to try it. Next time! The Aqua ViTea peach kombucha was a nice accompaniment to the sandwich. I love the fresh air with the garage door up. Please give them a try if you haven't already. I selfishly want them to stay in business so I can enjoy their food when I visit Ithaca.
Good unique food around Ithaca!! I love their Za'atar Chicken Malawach but my first love will always be their Truffle Mushroom Malawach because they really put the truffle inside so I could eternally taste and sense it during my meal. Friendly staff and cute interior, they're such a gem !!
Came here mostly to rave about the beet salad which was perfection -- perfectly composed, not over dressed, great balanced flavors and plenty big enough for two people to share! We also had the zaatar chicken malawach. Everything inside the bread was super flavorful. I personally found the malawach bread to be a little greasy -- it was like a thicker paratha? Staff was lovely.
Excellent fries. Worth the parking hassle and wandering around in the cold to find them. The malawach was good. The zatar chicken malawach was excellent. The falafel malawach was good, but not our favorite. A bit unclear for people visiting how things work and where or if you can get more iced tea. Wish they had a bit clearer what they expect, but everyone was friendly and helpful so not a big deal. The fries are an absolute must.
My husband and I shared: - Za'atar Chicken Malawach - Haloumi Malawach - Mushroom Schnitzel The Haloumi Malawach was definitely my favorite. The cheese was delicious and paired perfectly with the sweet spread. I wouldn't get the mushrooms again. I love mushrooms but they didn't really have any flavor. There were several other menu items I wanted to try so I'd gladly come back.
Not the best place to go. They have a good, quite clean restaurant. Tables were a bit messy though. Also it was a bit noisy because the door was opened and we heard all noise from the street. But they also have a outdoor sitting. Wait time was also good. Those are all good things about this place. The cashier was a bit rude. He was buying something for himself when we approached. After our request to order some food he just said "Wait" without even saying "please". So we waited for a few minutes more. And the worst thing was food. First of all, they were out of halloumi cheese, which meant you couldn't order quite a few items from their menu. We ordered two chicken malawach. Both were badly burnt, both chicken and bread. Portions were big though, but we literally couldn't eat them because such a big part of them was burnt. They also don't have free water which is pretty standard thing in restaurants.
I had the falafel malawach. The sandwich overall was good and had a great flavor. The bread should have been warm and not cold IMHO. The falafel itself was okay. The service is less than warm and the place should be much cleaner. Please at least wipe the tables off. My gf ordered the sweet and spicy chicken wrap. It arrived after I had already finished my malawach. She was highly disappointed in hers and said she liked my wrap better.
This place has gone downhill. Super dirty and not kept well. Staff not trained well. We ordered the zaatar chicken wrap and mushroom eggplant wrap. We waited over an hour because an incompetent staff gave our order to other guests. Then my wrap inedible and burnt. When I explained - the staff laughed. They remade it and it was burnt again. I ate what I could. Zaatar chicken wrap came out great. Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere.
I laughed out loud when I saw their fattoush salad at a catered event. It had spring mix and croutons… The owners have probably never had a real fattoush salad before. Change the name and make up your own dishes. Educate yourself about current events and think before you eat here. 🍉🍉🍉🍉
