We popped in here for a quick beer. As European non Spanish speaking we were a little apprehensive, but in no time we had cool beer and snacks. People were very friendly and the staff were nice too. Great value for money! Definitely go if you're walking to/from the pyramid to the main square,and need some refreshment.
Très belle expérience dans ce bar local qui reflète l'hospitalité Mexicaine. Nous y sommes allés pour prendre un verre en touristes un peu perdu. Nous avons tout de suite été accueillis et plongés dans l'ambiance locale. Même si nous n'avons pas trop commandé de boissons (ici la bière se sert à la bouteille de 1litre), le patron nous a offert tout une quantité de petits plats locaux pour l'apéro. Très bonne soirée

The most authentic place I've been to in Mexico so far! Very friendly service, good music, great atmosphere... 1.2L bottle of Tecate, 0.5L of Coke, and complimentary snacks for 100 pesos!
Everything was excellent. We loved stopping by to refresh ourselves with a beer (or three) after climbing the pyramid. They give you a round of snacks for every caguama you order.
We ordered two beers and they brought out small plates of food. The atmosphere was super local and authentic!
The best local in Izamal, Juan will make you feel like at home and he will prepare a very good michelada. Even the food was really good! We are sad we cannot stay in Izamal longer, but it was a nice discovery!

When two foreigners came in to cool off and enjoy a nice beer, they gave us a warm welcome, and the other customers helped us with our minimalist Spanish. Along with a beer, we were served homemade snacks! The table was full! Where does that happen anymore? It was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our second and third beers, too. With an atmosphere like that, you're sure to stick around 😃

Great atmosphere... it's a quirky but fun bar, especially if you're with good company. The food was delicious and our waitress gave us excellent service.
