Rajbhog Sweets Jackson Heights Reviews
Amazing unique local food. A must and a gem in queens. I really enjoyed this experience. I tried every vegan dish and it was all delicious
We had cheerful and smiling service. Highly recommend the chana bhatura. Even the karela subzi was good. A fast, good and reasonable place to eat। The Gurbani in the background reminds me of langar. A must try if you are in the area and need a desi fix.
What a sweet surprise! My mom randomly decided we should try Raja Sweets instead of our usual spot, Maharaja, and what a great call that was. The place was packed, which is always a good sign, but it meant there were no seats available, and we had to wait a while to get our food. Granted we went during lunch time so I guess it was expected. Still, it was worth every minute of the wait. We got a few chaats and the pani puri.. The flavors were rich, fresh, and totally satisfying. You can tell this place has a loyal following for a reason. We took everything to go, but I can only imagine how amazing it would taste had we stayed to eat there. Even the people who worked there (& dined there) were so friendly and pleasant! Definitely going back 💕
While exploring Queens, we found Raja Sweets based on Google reviews. We ordered Chana Bhatura, onion paratha, samosa, coffee, and tea. The food was freshly made and tasted good. The entire meal cost only $20. Their menu has a wide variety of options, and everything is very affordable. Highly recommend this place!
I had Aloo paratha and palak paneer for brunch and it was delicious. We used to live in NYC and moved to Texas few years ago, but there is nothing as authentic as their food. I did tons of take out, on demand, for my family here in tx. This place is a gem amidst the no longer little india street.
Ordered the aloo paratha, mooli paratha, samosa, batata vada, and chole bhature. Parathas we'e ok, probably wouldn't get them again. Wished they were crispy and had more flavor, 7/10. The somosa and batata vada were pretty good; especially with the green tamarind sauce, 8.5/10. The chole bhature was also good. Really liked the soft pillowy bread. Chickpeas was ok; needed more flavor, 8/10. I would definitely come again to get the somosas. Total meal was $20. EDIT: Tried the pav bhaji ($7.50) in March 2023. I would not recommend; 5.5/10. Salty and not much flavor. Noticed most things went up in price. I would still get the samosas with the green sauce.
The food is pretty good and hits the spot for chat. The service can be slow and inconsistent but is part of the experience.
Some items are hit or miss: curries are meh, parathas are great, pakoras are ok, and halva is great. Not the cleanest, but it’s one of my go tos.
The food was so good. I like Palak paneer and mango lassi. There was a quite long line, we had to wait for a bit. The Thali combo was quite a good deal for 9.99. They have tons of Indian menu and desserts. One thing, the tables and the dinning area was not so clean but still, food was so good.
Casual Indian canteen with plenty of seating. Service is a little slow so go if you are not in a rush. The pakora weren’t crispy but the ingredient mix was authentic and tasty. The green chutney was mild, wanted spicier. The mirchi pakora was definitely spicy though (they used some good peppers), and I have a good spice tolerance. Samosa chaat was really really good, my favorite item of what we got. Chai was good but a bit lacking in “kadak-ness” (not strong enough). Overall a great place for a casual bite and chai with your friends.
I love many foods at this place like aloo paratha, some curries, and halwa - but this place does not feel very hygienic. It feels like a gas station fast food chain. I also don’t think they use food quality oil.
One of nasty and unhealthy food in this resturent. Me and my family eats bread toast here in couple of minutes ago .. after we eat that we three of them continue vomting .. my chest felt heavy now … please my dear friends whose read my comment .. the food he sell it was old food and I request dept of health just once visit their store for peoples health concern .. and u will find unhealthy stuff their ..
There food is totally bad in taste… they making in such a tasteless food… they were better before now they already made alot of money…thatswhy now feeding garbage to people.. my advice is dont waste your money… better go to Maharaja they still make better food ….
Very bad service. I had ordered few items last night and the mixed paratha had few sharp plastic like material in the paratha, which is a major safety hazard. I was able to take out few of these and there were more of this. This is the second time this has happened. Please be careful while eating the food. Definitely not worth it.
