Excellent place to have breakfast with the whole family... The barbacoa is exceptional, served with delicious corn tortillas with red salsa—handmade tortillas that melt into the lamb. The consommé is flavorful and doesn't taste watered down. The place is like stepping into your aunt's house in the 80s, with ornamental plants in the living and dining room that contrast with the red brick walls, and the aromas of the griddle and freshly cooked barbacoa filling the air.
The barbecue is delicious, the service is very good, friendly and quick, and the coffee is delicious. I recommend it.
The barbacoa has one of the best flavors, the meat is fresh and cooked to perfection. The handmade tortillas with blue or white corn give it an unparalleled Mexican touch. To top it off, the cornbread is exquisite!
The best barbacoa I've tried so far isn't exactly in the state of Hidalgo. They're only open on weekends. I've been there more than three times, and it always tastes the same, so good that I end up ordering takeout and then making some good barbacoa flautas...

The barbecue is very good, highly recommended, but you have to arrive early because it gets crowded. Visit them, you won't regret it. Large parking lot.
It's a place I've been going to for over 30 years. The place is now owned by Don Gonzalo's sons. The quality of the barbacoa is currently good, but the seasoning has changed. The price per kilo of barbacoa is $600.
In general, their barbacoa is delicious, but I think they go overboard with the prices of enchiladas and blood, which are less than half the price elsewhere.
They don't give out lemons to take away, even if the bill is over a thousand pesos.
Unfortunately, the service, attention, and even less so the barbecue preparations are no longer the same. To take away, they serve it almost cold, they don't provide vegetables for the consommé, and the sauce has gone bad.
