Solé Café Jilotepec Jilotepec Reviews
Everything was great, the food was good. It's a quiet place and there are several seating areas.
The food was good, the place was very pleasant, but the tables and chairs were very worn, and some of the furniture was in poor condition. The service was very slow and inattentive.
The food is incredible. The price is worth it, and more. As for the atmosphere, it's a quiet, yet striking space. I just think they need to improve their service a bit more, as we kept looking for someone to serve us to order, ask a question, or pay. It took us a while to get their attention. P But again, the food and the atmosphere are incredible.
Okay food and drinks but they are really slow with their service.
Just a regular place, nothing good or bad to say about it
As the tour of the beautiful state of Mexico continues, we stopped by today for lunch based on a recommendation. As we walked in, we couldn't help but notice a pungent smell of floor cleaner. However, the spirits were momentarily lifted when we were immediately met by a friendly waiter, and took a seat. The menu had a lot of choices, anything from traditional fare to american offerings, such as hamburgers. I ordered the red enchiladas. Upon receiving my plate, I was excited to dig in, as the food looked well prepared and a good serving size. Unfortunately, after the first bite, the excitement turned to disappointment. The enchiladas were extremely bland. It seems as if their red sauce consists of nothing more than a can of tomato sauce! Even a gringo such as myself knows that the sauce should be a chili based sauce, and also contain onions. In my opinion it was a true disgrace to enchiladas and the vibrant community of Jilotopec. I will still give it three stars based on service, and don't want to come off as an overly rude American!
Ok
A waiter served us reluctantly, it took them a while to bring a cake, I ordered a hamburger with guacamole and all the guacamole fell out and it had a very large piece of lettuce, I had to remove it, the only good thing were the frappes
The service is always very slow, the women's restroom didn't have soap or water, and the staff was rude because I had my puppy in a carrier and they ordered me to move (they didn't even ask or suggest changing seats). They simply told me to move because my puppy cried for 30 seconds (I'm not lying) and the restroom was empty. Terrible service and customer treatment.
I don't recommend this place, and it's sad that even though they have an excellent location in the town center, they can't improve such essential things as service, speed of service, food quality, and the facilities! I found it unbelievable that they didn't have hand soap in the bathroom, and I mean, isn't that a basic necessity in a place that serves food? It looks like they haven't had a drop of soap in weeks. Also, the sink was clogged (as you can see in the photo). Clearly, they don't maintain their facilities. Even the door looked like they tried to force it open, giving it a terrible appearance. But the worst part was that there was a 15-20 minute difference between each order. My patience was wearing thin. I was almost finished with my latte, and they only just arrived with my main order because I had to ask! The place wasn't crowded; I just think their servers aren't trained, and even though there are several people behind the bar, they don't coordinate. I definitely don't see them getting their 10 or 20% tip 🤷🏻♀️ And to those asking if the food was at least amazing, no, it wasn't. I won't be back and I don't recommend it.
What can I say... The service is dreadful, you have to ask for napkins, salt or pepper because there's nothing on the table, the waiters sometimes are unpleasant and indifferent, you have to wait so long for them to come and bring you what you ordered or that they bring you the bill. The music is outdated and out of context for the kind of place. The menu is poor and is not worth the price because the food is plain and the portions are small. Finally the environment and decoration is weird and not comfortable. So I definitely don't recommend it. 👎👎👎
The service is incredibly slow, the wait is way too long. I absolutely do not recommend it. Look for another option.
