Big Zach's Place Joaquin Reviews
Best restuarant eating place in town. I come here every year after a long day of fishing. Cold beer crawfish boil and a menu you didn't expect such a small town restuarant to have. Everything is awesome! The service is excellent! The beers is excellent! The food is excellent! Five stars for Everything!!
Best burger I've ever put in my mouth. The chicken fried steak was amazing!
We had a family birthday party there. It was a very lovely experience and the food was great.
I had the Redfish DeSoto, it was amazing! The amount of lump crab on top of the dish was generous to say the least. Crawfish dressing... They've got that too. My wife said the crab cake on her stacker was delicious. We live in the Houston area and I did not expect this type of dining establishment across the border in a smaller town. We've been driving by 4 years hunting out of Mansfield and finally had the opportunity to stop. I feel like I've been missing out and I will return.
We drove from Shreveport to eat at BIG Zachs and it was well worth the drive. I got seafood platter and chicken fettuccine blackened catfish with crab cake on top..uts a really cool laid back spot owner came to table and said hello to the customers .5 stars all day. Hailey was our waitress. She was awesome. I recommend yallvtry it its worth a hour drive..trying the steaks in a couple weeks ..
The catfish and chicken fried steak are the best that I have had in a long time. The staff is great Heather the lead wait staff is great always has a smile on her face and makes sure that you have everything that you need.If you are in the Logansport Louisiana area I highly recommend that you stop by and give them a try.
Our servers were very pleasant and I'm assuming that it was the owner/manager Big Zach who came around to everyone and asked how we were doing. That was a nice touch. I would definitely go back as great customer service is extremely important to me and this was exemplified by the team that night. I'm so sorry I didn't get the name of our server but she was awesome. Great job 👏 👍 👌
This place is a hidden jewel. My family of 4 with kids had a great time. The food is amazing! The restaurant is clean and very well decorated. There is a bar if your into having a drink with friends or having a family friendly lunch or dinner. Mr. Zach was there and even came to out tables to check on the guest. Well worth the drive from any place to come and eat. We will be back.
First time here. I got the blackened grilled chicken sandwich, my wife got boudain balls. Excellent flavor on both. Has a full bar. Easy access. All the staff were friendly. Place was clean!
My dad lives in Joaquin, TX and we've been meaning to try this place for a while now. It did not disappoint at all. I ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer and it came with homemade ranch for dipping. This was extremely tasty and delicious and with the ranch it just set it over the top (huge pickle lover). My daughter ordered the chicken stripe and fries. It was seasoned great and were fresh from the fryer and homemade. So delicious. I had the crawfish eutoufee with rice. It was seasoned to perfection the right amount of spiciness. Its one of the best I've had. Would definitely eat here again.
The chicken fried steak was melt in my mouth delicious! Hand cut, battered, fried . My side salad was so refreshing with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers & much more. My husband’s catfish was fresh, flaky perfectly fried. The staff were very attentive and professional. I definitely feel like I got my $ worth & then some!
This spot is just across the river in Louisiana. It is decorated with old photos of what I assume is Logansport. This is my second favorite restaurant in Louisiana. The waitresses are very attentive. The food is very fresh and extremely flavorful. I've not found any dish I haven't enjoyed. I'm very fond of the fried shrimp.
Stopped by heading home from a College visit from NSU in Natchitoches LA for my son and was blown away with service and food. My son was skeptical to try the Alligator Eggs but after convincing him to try them he LOVED them. My Blackened Catfish with Crab cakes was best I've had to date. I would travel those 2 1/2 hours any day just to eat there in Logansport. I reside in East Texas
Great place to eat! Food Really Good People are so friendly recommend to all
The establishment was clean and tranquil. While the service was excellent, the seafood boil, priced at $44.99, did not meet expectations; it arrived without crab legs. Although the server was accommodating and apologetic, rectifying the situation by providing the missing crab legs in a separate bowl lacking sauce and seasoning, the dish ultimately fell short of a complete seafood boil experience. We may revisit the establishment in the future, given the exceptional service, but not in the immediate term.
This was once the best place around, but lately it seems to have taken a turn for the worse. The last few times we’ve been there we were sat with an older server who always seemed to be in the weeds and couldn’t keep up with the 2-3 tables that she had. I almost always get the catfish strips and used to love them, but the last few times I’ve had them they were overcooked and super crunchy and came without onions and pickles, but maybe they stopped doing that.
