Second Wind Coffee Johnstown Reviews
If you find yourself passing through, Second Wind Coffee is an absolute essential stop for both the atmosphere and the fuel. This shop perfectly captures a "modern vintage" soul that makes you want to stay a while.
Great atmosphere, comfortable seating. I appreciated the suggestions from the staff. Have a lovely latte.
Amazing! Coffee was so good I had to try 2 lattes and iced maple bourbon and hot oatmeal cookie! Breakfast sandwich so fresh and baked good yummy!
Great coffee, specialty drinks, and casual food in a uniquely cool atmosphere. Huge Chesterfield couches, comfy hidden chairs, and casual tables surround vintage motorcycles, special wall art, and black-iron style fixtures. It's great place to sit alone or visit with friends.
My husband and I had a delicious chai and cappuccino. Great drinks and the vibe is incredible!!
What a unique, upstate coffee shop gem!🤩 I tried this coffee shop over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by their unique seasonal offerings, as well as the friendly and personable staff. You don't often see unique seasonal coffee drinks, especially such a variety of options. As someone who enjoys a carefully curated beverage this was right up my alley! ☕️I tried the pumpkin s'mores and it was quite the Fall creation!🍁 Not only was the drink delectable but the attention to garnish toppers was top notch! It was topped with a toasted marshmallow, toasted to order and crumbles of graham crackers. The owners were also very friendly and seemed to make every guest feel right at home. I also really enjoyed sitting at their tables outside surrounded by their pumpkin storefront. If you're ever in the vicinity of this coffee shop I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary, I was certainly glad it was on mine!
Coffee was pretty good. The atmosphere is the star of the show. It is incredibly and thoughtfully decorated with many unique items. There is a nice spot to sit almost everywhere and if your anything like me you'll have a great time just walking around looking at all the cool stuff! Highly recommend checking this place out.
If you need a breather, then get your second wind here. Owned by biker Shawn and his delightful Mother Rosie McNamara, this is one not to pass by. The decor is period (50s and earlier I’d guess) and the seats are so comfortable the temptation to take a nap is hard to resist. Coffee excellent as are the muffins. Welcome is more than warm. Not to miss, and with the future addition of a restaurant can only get better.
Really good coffee, this coffee house is such a vibe. I love all the decoration this guy did to this place. There's a little corner for everyone. The chicken salad sandwich was supper tasty! I suggest this coffee house to anyone visiting. 😋will definitely be back whenever we are in town.
Cool little coffee house, tasty treats and a really cool vibe cannot wait to see what the owner has in store for his new venture down the road from the shop.... Myself and a few mom's.from my son's class stopped by today and had some delicious coffee and treats totally loved the vibe💕
We have never been here before, the gentleman behind the counter was very welcoming as well as the cook. They are very humble. The atmosphere is relaxing, soft lighting and a cabin feel. There’s a lot of antiques. We ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant. It was delicious. The mocha cappuccino and caramel macchiato were one of the best we have ever had. I’d give them a thousand stars if I could. We will be coming here again. Thank you for a wonderful start to our day. The soft Christmas touches were very nice as well, with low Frank Sinatra in the background.
Awesome place with great coffee, as expected and an ambiance somewhere on a scale between a Grandma Moses country painting and a Brooklyn bric-a-brac. If you are looking for the spirit of rejuvenation in a community, this is it. They do everything right to create a communal place where everyone feels happy. One small point: a croissant should be flaky not soggy.
Sorry to say but I use to go all the time when they first opened but I ordered a cappuccino and more than one time regular coffee was used instead of expresso coffee. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood and regular coffee in a cappuccino just don't cut it . And the girl serving was rude did not even let me say what I wanted in my order.
❗️warning: DONT EVER ASK FOR HAM❗️ I’ve given this place far more chances than it deserved because, unfortunately, the food is decent for the area. But the customer service is consistently awful, and today was the final straw. Every visit, the owners are rude and miserable—not just to me, but to others. The only nice one is the grandmother, who is lovely. She and the decor of the place are the only redeeming features. Today, I spent $43, mistakenly thought they had ham, and politely asked if it could be added. I apologized immediately when I realized my mistake. Yet they snapped at me—twice. It became an unnecessary scene over nothing. Snapping at a paying customer? Come on. Absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for when I said I was sorry and would pay for it. It was a misunderstanding. Also, they keep a specialty drink menu out with items they no longer offer. If half of your drinks are unavailable, use common sense—update or remove the menu. Don’t be rude when people try to order from it. I’ve been polite and supportive as a regular, spending my hard-earned money. Good food does not excuse bad behavior. If you can’t deal with customers, maybe don’t run a café. I won’t be back, and I don’t recommend it to anyone expecting basic courtesy.
