Amal was great and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. She was very accommodating and helped us feel comfortable with the language barrier since she speaks good Spanish. Her kindness and patience really made our experience better.

I am gonna have to say this is the best service I’ve ever had at any international House of pancakes! The Server, Karl was Outstanding! He was very attentive towards us, and he made sure we were fully completely taken care of. He had a lot of suggestions that fit our needs. Our server was wonderful. The hostess took a while to get us seated, but the server definitely made up for it. Downside was the food was a mix of microwaved and fresh. I had the chicken biscuit, which the fries were perfect, while the sandwich was a mix of warm and cold gravy. Was sort of let down by it not being fresh, especially since it wasn't too busy.

I had some pancakes with bacon, and eggs. It was okay. I asked for a latte and I got some regular coffee, though refillable. The pancakes were just okay,nothing spectacular.

No customers, yet slow service. Didn't offer refills on drinks. The omelette was very small. The waffle came with no butter, just dry. Thinking that a return is not going to happen.

Because they are understaffed, it took 40 minutes to receive our food. It took less time for us to eat than it did to prepare the food. The waiter Justin was kind, and kept checking in but it was not much he could do about the wait for our food. I noticed that the pancakes were smaller (this may be because I ordered the $6 faves) and the cheese sauce was not as good as other visits (I actually preferred to not add it into my food this time). Hopefully future visits are better.

Look, we’ve given this IHOP multiple chances over the past few years. As Katy residents, we enjoy IHOP from time to time — but this location keeps letting us down. During our most recent visit, the restaurant ran out of whipped cream, which is mind-boggling considering it’s on nearly a quarter of the entire menu. This isn’t a rare ingredient; it’s something customers reasonably expect every single visit. Katy is an amazing community, and a franchise in this area should reflect that standard. We genuinely want to support this location and walk out smiling after paying our bill — but the consistency and basic preparedness simply aren’t there. Management, I see that you reply to reviews, but at this point we need more than a generic response. Please provide some transparency and take real steps before the service quality forces this franchise to be reevaluated.

Should have read reviews and realized there's no IHOP in this area without a wait at breakfast/lunch on Sundays and now we know why. This is a serving of mac and cheese. An adult serving .The Salisbury steak was good, no sauce but maybe skip the mac and cheese and pancakes and hashbrowns.

We went to our regular IHOP and were seated in Vivian’s section. She was chatting with a man at a table near ours. Vivian looked toward our table but did not acknowledge us in any way no less than FOUR times. She came and went past our table FOUR times and never even looked at us. Chatted with the other man each time but not us. Matter of fact, after the second time, I made a comment. After the third, my husband decided to give her one last chance. Still no acknowledgment. We have been served by her twice before. The first time, she spent the majority of our time chatting about conspiracy theories, and the second time, she “forgot” a lot of stuff (utensils, napkins, straws, a drink, my husbands toast). This time, she simply ignored us. I used to be waitstaff. I know how you should function. She’s not it.

Modern looking staff needs training. Not impressed with this IHOP location. Besides the very nice and welcoming host who was working her hardest to pick up the slack of the rest of her team, it felt as if the staff were all new or needed more training. There was no system and no one really worked together. And the servers were waiting for someone to clean their tables. If no one is available, keep the flow going and clean your own tables. As for food, the buttermilk pancakes were missing the buttermilk flavor. I can usually eat them with no syrup because they are so good. But not at this location. Also, the Philly cheesesteak was sloppily made. They just took some pieces of meat, stuck it on a bun and slapped a piece of American cheese on it. Not impressed. Also, my seat had a view of the kitchen. Every time the door swung open you could see that it was sloppy and had trash on the floor. Probably won’t be coming back to this location. Management needs to get some work done.

Stopped by on way home after church . We walked in and the hostess didn’t even acknowledge us at all. We had to get her attention to get a table. She sat us and it took a while (30 minutes)for the server to come to our table for drinks. Mind you, the restaurant was not crowded but understaffed) We gave the server our order. It took another 30 minutes for our food to come out. My omelette was extremely greasy ( veggie omelette btw) , the bread was cold and burnt…my wife’s biscuit and gravy was really small and had no taste . The pancakes, which is why we got it IHOP , were extremely small and not even think at all, they were more like crepes. I have been to a lot of ihops and this was one of the worse. We will not come back to this one.

Just flew in then drove from Hobby and stopped by because it is one of the only place around Katy open after 10:00PM. We were the only guests in the whole restaurant. Our server was very nice and took our drink order. Cold brew coffee for me and chocolate milk for my guest. We were told the water was cross wired in the machine and was carbonated so they were not serving water. I was given 3 vanilla creamers for my coffee and after tasting it I requested to have another served black because it was off. The plain was no better, it tasted terrible, burned or worse. Opted for a sprite to replace. We ordered our meals, mine was the Split decision breakfast with an additional side of hash browns. Guest ordered big steak omelette and requested the hash browns served as a side instead of inside the omelette and New York Cheesecake Pancakes. Food came out and initially tasted ok for me until I got to the hash browns. They were very hard and chewy and did not taste fresh. The French toast was good, eggs cooked as I requested, the sausage links were good. I thought the bacon to be dry and hard to chew. Guest had the same experience with the dry chewy hash browns side but also had hash browns inside the omelette which was requested to be omitted. The omelette had a lot of mushrooms but not much steak. The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were supposed to have cheesecake chunks in them but did not. It was just a strawberry sauce topping. It has been a long time since I had been to an IHOP and was not use to seeing hash browns in square or rectangle form. Our server got the manager who came to the table to apologize and continued on with answers to some questions. He disclosed that the hash browns are always square now and blamed someone before his shift for their quality. That confirmed my suspicion that they were not fresh. He said he would remove the hash browns from the bill and would also remove the coffee. He had the kitchen make two orders of crispy breakfast potatoes. He claimed that the cold brew coffee comes in concentrate and maybe whoever mixed it earlier in the day did not properly get that ratios correct but he also stated he did not think it was a high quality product to begin with. Upon review of the bill, he had removed the cold brew coffee but left one of the hash brown charges. He applied a senior discount to the entire bill. The hash brown charge was $4.99 but the total senior discount was only $3.48 from the whole bill. I asked the server to see if he would correct the bill. The manager returned to the table and argued that he had done us a favor and did not agree with my request to just remove the hash brown charge as he had previously agreed to do. We paid the bill and took our remaining food to go. The wait for the food was not long but the quality was really poor, especially since we were the only guests. Maybe that should have been the warning. Our server was really sweet but I thought the manager was full of excuses. I do not think I will return to this location if I can help it.

Came here 2 Sundays ago since it was the closest ihop to us I wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere was very negative. As we were walking in one of the waitresses was arguing with the front hostess. So we stood there watching until the waitress was done berating the hostess IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. Once we were finally seated, no waiter came to take our order. All the waiters were in the front gossiping about the hostess and waitress disagreement. We looked around and saw everyone else before us were still not being taken care of. We ended up leaving and going to the next next closest ihop.

Got here around 9:40am on a Saturday and was told 15 min wait. 30+ min later we were seated. 10+ min to get our drinks. So almost an hour in and drinks are all we had. When the food did come, it left a lot to be desired (see photo). Understaffed doesn't even begin to cover things here. Please read the one star reviews and avoid this place, or be prepared to spend your entire morning here waiting. We will not be coming back here again, Denny's is just down the road and 1000 times better.

Worst IHop we have attended. They take forever no greeters super slow servers food gets cold and everyone just seems to be standing around not knowing what's going on. We followed the hostes around and had to listen to the servers complain about sitting on their section. Smh terrible

I’ve been coming to this IHOP since it opened. It’s close to my new home and clean. But the service is exactly what others have stated: slow. It takes a long time to be seated and an even longer time to be even offered coffee! Definitely not in line with their company standards. 15 minutes in and still can’t order my food. 😐 Staff seems confused as to what needs to be done. They need new management to keep up such a pretty location. Oh and FYI if you order Cheesecake pancakes make sure to ask them to cook the pancake thoroughly! This is the middle of the pancake with the batter still bubbling 🤦🏽‍♀️

The worst service. The young lady working the door has a horrible attitude. I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for my online order just for them to mess it up completely, my sons and part of my wife’s food was missing, they another tray on top on my omelette and it flattened it(see picture). I came back and took them another 20 minutes to “try” and make it. I asked for a refund and it took them another 15-20 minutes for the manager to come process it. Smh.

The IHOP restaurant was extremely disappointing. The place was dirty (see attached image) and had a strong unpleasant smell. Service was very slow, even though we arrived around 2:00 PM and there were only two other tables occupied. We waited nearly 15 minutes before a server even came to our table. Meanwhile, several employees were standing around the kitchen entrance chatting and laughing instead of attending to customers. This gave the impression that customer service and cleanliness were not taken seriously at this location. I strongly suggest the owner address these issues to improve both cleanliness and service quality. Until significant improvements are made, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I honestly hate leaving bad reviews, but this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The hostess was very unpleasant and seemed bothered by my family and I being there—I should have taken this as a sign to leave but we still gave it a go. After about a 10 min wait—despite not being busy—we got seated a sticky table with sticky floors. We ordered our meals and it took forever to come out—our waitress even came to us about 30 mins of waiting saying how they were finally putting the order in. After another 20 mins, the food comes out. My steak tips and eggs were at room temperature at best and the hash browns were plastic like—it was terrible. The food that was brought out for the rest of the table was incorrect—one of the plates was room temp and appeared to have been sitting for a while and the other, while seemingly freshly cooked, was not what we ordered. The pancakes were also disappointing. Not looking for anyone to get fired or written up, but would like for the staff to be trained up in order to provide good service to customers. TLDR: Service and food was terrible—absolutely the worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever experienced.

Just two us for breakfast this morning. 4 people walk in after us and 2 other people and they get their breakfast first. We ask our clumsy waitress and she gives us all kinds of excuses. I say clumsy because she nearly spilled coffee and water all over us. Finally after another ten minutes manager comes out with food and it looked cold and our over easy eggs were hard and everything looked nasty. Excuse was oh we only have one cook. Really but there was other food coming out. We walked out and went to Waffle House were we had better service and food was good. Manager tried to give us all kinds of excuses while trying to serve us nasty food. He should have seen how cold and see that those were not over easy eggs. Need to do better.

Worst ihop ever…. When we sat down at the table it was dirty I asked could she wipe off the table she brought me back napkins to wipe it off myself. Then we didn’t have utensils when our food came out we had to wait for the waiter to come back and it took a while. When my food came out I was super disappointed it looked like a child’s plate I asked if they would give me some more eggs and hash-browns and they charged me for it. I will never go back again.

Went Sunday about noon.. service was non existent. Took 25 minutes to just get a water and coffee. Food was brought out 45 minutes later but then had to ask a manager for silverware. Food wasn't horrible, but service was pretty bad. Save yourself some time and go to a different location.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Someone really needs to call the health department on this place. There were no cars in the parking lot. I walked in a the windows were nasty. It smelled like sewage. There was absolutely no one inside. This place needs to be shutdown.

I call last week. 7 times before I got there. No one. Answer got there. Order 5 eggs over medium and. A burrito ,biscuit and gravy. Got home . I live 5 minutes away. My burrito was. Cold. Worst IHOP I’ve ever been to. There were literally three other tables, and they took forever to bring us our food. It was cold and very greasy. The server was friendly, but the food was subpar, and the restrooms were straight-up disgusting. It looks like they’ve never used a brush to scrub the toilet bowl. My son said the men's restroom was worse. I’ve been to gas stations with cleaner restrooms. Lastly, I saw several people walk out after waiting 10+ minutes for someone to seat them because the hostess was nowhere to be found. My server mentioned they got a new manager recently. Good luck to them because they’ll definitely need it!!! P.S. I did not take a picture of my food because it didn’t look picture worthy. I wasn’t planning on writing this review either, but the state of the restrooms was the last straw for me. I understand being understaffed or making mistakes on order (I always just kindly remind them what my order was), but there’s no excuse for the lack of cleanliness. I hope their kitchen is not as neglected as their restrooms.

Only three (including us) tables with customers. Took nearly an hour for some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Biscuits looked like they were from a prison movie cafeteria and gravy was cold and putrid. Other customers came and left their tables due to no service. This restaurant is filthy. I set about 30 mins and no one had sweep the trash that was on the floor before I walked in. There are nats flying around. On the menu it’s stated as fresh broccoli but you can tell the broccoli is old. It had mold on it. It’s was black and very soft. Was very disappointed to find out that they no longer had the New Mexico bowl. I will not be returning.

I WOULDN’T recommend this IHOP location. When I visited, there was no one at the front to greet us, and it appeared that only one server was working the entire restaurant. It took nearly 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and the table was dirty. The same person was responsible for both greeting and serving, which clearly overwhelmed the service. To top it off, the person who came to collect our payment was rude. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Very poor service. We arrived as a group of seven and the hostess said they had a table that needed to be cleared. The hostess and one of the waitstaff then proceeded to argue as to who of them was going to clear it. Looking around, if a table wasn’t occupied then it wasn’t cleared. The occupied tables had no food and people were leaving without eating because of the slow service. Needless to say we left and found a better restaurant.

I work for uber eats and i was picking up an order,no lie I waited 35 minutes and couldn't get help,I asked 3 of the girls of color and they were rude.No coming back anymore.

DO NOT COME HERE. This is a 1 STAR ihop location. The wait, atmosphere, order accuracy, team flow, manager. Turn around, go to Denny's or somewhere else.

worst service ever. took an hour and some to get a chicken and waffle for take out. it was served terribly. soggy waffles, missing a slice, thrown into a bag with the lid off and the food almost fell out of the container. NEVER go to this location. awful.

I came to IHop with my friends. We ordered our food at 10:15pm and didnt get our food until 11:55pm. Throughout that wait, the food was cold and tasted terrible. Never again. Was not worth the money we spent.

Has any one notice that this place has more 1 starts than 5? That should ring a bell, sad to say this is the first I hop that you will find if you coming from the west of Houston. Our server was friendly but she was not engage on her work, there was not many people eating there and from the beginning it was bad service, the table was not set to seat someone, the restrooms were dirty, there was no silverware so I had to wait for a spoon to stir my coffe and when our food started to arrive half of it was wrong, but what got me to walk out of this place was there was a hair on my food, so I told the manager that was the reason I was walking out, he apologized and I left. Sad that corporates only get to see numbers, and sad is it to see how the new managers are not being train right so they can pass that training to their employees.

Horrible, first were ignored when we walk in, after about 6 min some one walks by and says “we’ll be with you soon”. Then another 5 mins later they seat us. As we’re looking at the menu the waitress says, “if only the food looked like the picture” and laughs. Should have been our sign… then we order and just hope for the best. I get the chicken biscuit and once I receive it I check it cause it seems a little off. The chicken was tasteless, the hash brows were barely even cooked and wet. I asked the waitress to bring me some that were crispy to replace, and I am given a chunk of burnt hash brown… so I just didn’t eat them and when we were brought the check, noticing I didn’t eat them was told “too crispy” and she begins to laugh. Again. Then to top it off I see a sign that says “don’t serve if it’s not perfect” which was just to ironic for the horrible food.

Was waiting at the front with my husband for a few minutes and saw a few employees. Only two tables were sat and an employee wearing slides (?) told my husband and I that we couldn’t be served because he was “the only one working”. Didn’t apologize and was standoffish from the get go. Mentioned he was going to kick out the other two families that were seated as well. Little to no explanation and didn’t seem to care at all. Treated us like an inconvenience.

When you walk into a place, it is very unwelcoming. The look you get is not friendly. They take forever to set you even with less people. The dishes is really not that clean The time I've been sitting here, I've seen two people that actually comes in to sit themselves There's no one in the front or they see you and they still just stand I do not recommend this IHOP. The one Fry road is a whole lot better and busy really bad management

Disappointing. We were seated at a dirty table. There were nasty finger and hand prints all over the wall next to my husband. The toast and ham came out burnt, and eggs were overcooked like the grill was too hot. Now we know why there was no wait for a table. We will definitely not be coming back to this location.

This place use to always be full. But sadly it’s so empty that! It took a server a good 15-20 minutes just to get our drink order. The manager lacks professionalism. He took one of the employees and told them they were getting written up right next to customers. When he could have just taken them to the back away from customers. Also the table dinner us was just sitting there dirty the whole hour we were there. Employees would walk right next it but nothing!

The problem is the staff. They’re all rude and have the nastiest attitudes towards customers. The food was missing things but at this point I don’t even care about it, I just couldn’t believe the amount of attitude in that place. Would definitely avoid this location.

Dont go by yourself. They wont acknowledge you but will put couples or groups ahead of you as they walked in. Didn't even care to take my name down smh. All I wanted was some breakfast man...

Always delayed pick up. I had to wait 20 min after the said pickup time. No customer service. There was no one at the front to ask what I was there for. Only when I asked about my pickup order, they seem to have started preparing the order. I would avoid this IHOP in future as much as possible.

DO NOT COME HERE. The ONLY redeeming quality is the server named Vivian, thank you for the excellent service! This review has nothing to do with you. We had a party of 7 (not that big) and there were 2 other parties waiting as well. The girl that was taking us to our table said “why are there so many families” loud enough for everyone to hear. (On a Sunday.) When our food finally arrived, the other girl let the butter from our pancakes slip onto her hand and she slathered it back onto our pancakes with her palm as she said “it’s ok, my hands are clean.” Disgusting. Every young server was sitting down while only Vivian worked all the tables that were not even in her section! She tried to get all the young servers to clean several dirty tables, but they didn’t listen to her. We watched them snatch the tips off of the tables and leave the tables dirty! I left absolutely infuriated for her. This restaurant needs a complete turnover of personnel.

We had a very disappointing experience. The hash browns were raw inside and burnt on top, the sausage was undercooked, and my chicken fried steak was also not fully cooked. The gravy was cold and separating. I mentioned it to the waitress and she did take the plate to the back right away, but instead of remaking it fresh, the cook just reheated the same food. That was frustrating!!! We’ve always gone to the Fry & I-10 location and it’s always A1 great food, great service, and everything made with care. This visit, unfortunately, did not meet that standard. We most definitely will not be coming back here! Even though we closer to home but I rather drive to the other location. Vivian the waitress was very kind and helpful but definitely the cook must not be too happy with his job. I hope they can improve because it was a very horrible experience.

The food was good. Service was terrible. The person who was seating just stared at me till I asked to be seated. She said a lot of people talk over her so she just stares at them till they say something. Was given a dirty glass, had to ask for a coffee cup, got the order wrong and gave us the wrong ticket at the end. There was an employee complaining about her job and ex husband at the other end of the room.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Terrible experience — would not recommend We stopped here on our way from Houston to Laredo, and it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. The food tasted awful — almost like it was made with dirty water. Even the pancakes, which are usually hard to mess up, were nasty and cold. We waited forever just to be seated, and once we were, our waitress (Vivian) tossed items onto the table, even our coffee, as if she didn’t want to serve us. When we asked to have our cold food reheated, she made a face like we were asking for too much. The service felt rude and unwelcoming, and as Hispanic customers, we felt discriminated against. When we mentioned that the service was bad and slow, her only response was, “Well yeah.” Between the terrible food, poor service, and uncomfortable atmosphere, we absolutely do not recommend this place.

Will never come again… Took too long to be seated. Took too long to get a drink. Took too long to get my order in. Waited about 30 minutes to get my food just for it to be room temp/cold and also not cooked properly. Food made me sick. The silverware was dirty/ not cleaned properly. The tables were sticky. There were about only 3/4 other customers in the restaurant. Even they seemed upset. The waitresses didn’t seem to care about their job. One was on her phone most of the time. Over all experience was terrible and will not recommend coming to this location ever again.

They refused to seat my wife and I along with another family that was waiting behind us. We just decided to leave. If we wanted to-go we would’ve just used ubereats or doordash

The cooks don't care about the presentation of the food. They don't care about the customer. I order a strawberry cheesecake pancake Togo. The pancake was not made right at first. Looked like a kid made it.. I had to return it to get it fixed. Then when I got home, I see I only have three strawberries and a ton of juice. Ridiculous. I don’t often leave reviews, but our experience was that bad to take the time to leave one…. our son, who had a soccer tournament all weekend (and was very hungry), decided that he really wanted IHOP, so that’s where we went. We were happy to be seated (by a not so friendly, unhappy looking employee) right away. The restaurant was not very busy. Our server was kind and was trying, but after ordering our (very basic)meals, it took at least 45 minutes for the food to arrive (it was just okay; my poor son didn’t have any mozzarella in his mozzarella sticks). All of the customers seated around us were also very frustrated with the very long wait times. We saw employees standing around, and we also noticed employees kept going into the bathroom and spending quite a bit of time in there. Of course it’s okay for an employee to go to the bathroom, it just seemed strange to see so many going in and out so many times while we were unfortunately sat right by the bathroom. I didn’t see what was going on in the kitchen, but based on the wait times, it wasn’t a whole lot…. I saw the hostess turn away a large party that came, which I thought was actually good— I almost went over there and warned them myself. Needless to say, we will not be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are many other great (or at least so much better) options!

This is the most unwelcoming experience we have ever had at an IHOP and we are just baffled. Don’t come to this location! When we walked in, we weren’t even greeted and were met with looks of annoyance. We had to wait 5 minutes to be seated in a mostly empty restaurant, that should have all been our first clue to leave. The table we were sat at had syrup all on the ground and the edges of the table. Our waitress wasn’t very welcoming and even when we tried talking to get her attention we would be ignored. After waiting 20-30 minutes for our food, the food came out individually and cold! We asked for ketchup and our waitress brings us ketchup packets when we were surrounded by ketchup bottles. At this point we were just over this whole situation. I can just go on and on about this experience. We have never walked out from a restaurant in our lives without eating the food. Worst experience ever!!!

“DEAD FLIES” I went to this location today since I really like ihop but it was the worst experience, after I ate half of the salad plate I found dead flies in my plate looks like they haven’t washed the lettuce at all and when I told the server about it I told her to show it to the kitchen so they don’t serve more to customers she said I ll talk to my manager. 10 full min I was waiting for anyone to come talk to me and then same server she was taking orders right behind me without telling me what she did or even apologize, I told her in front of customers have you talked to ur manager she gave me a sharp look and said “you are free to go” and I asked if they told the kitchen she looked away and didn’t even reply back to me. I felt so disrespected and no apology for me feeling am going to throw up it’s so disgusting even if u find a hair imagine if it’s lots of dead flies.

The service is terrible! Even if you get to be seated fast, you will wait more than 30 min to get your food. The food comes cold and one item at a time. We ordered hot chocolate with Benedict eggs and pancakes with milkshake. We got only the hash browns and had to wait another 20min to get the eggs. Insane
