Square One Restaurant Key West Reviews
We bumped into this place in Duval square and just had some cocktails and flatbread at the bar, but the service was awesome and the drinks / food tasted great! This is a veggie friendly place and u will find quite a lot of options to work through. Nice place to visit if u want to try some unique cocktails with relaxing ambiance.
Recently changed ownership and name to Ocean Grill and is wonderful. Fantastic brunch with bottomless Mimosas. Every thing about this place is great. From the excellent food and drinks to the knowledgeable and friendly staff and reasonabe prices this is definitely worth visiting.
Start your bar crawl here! Great happy hour 5-7pm, on both food and crafted cocktails. Nice upscale casual atmosphere and friendly service. Perfect base for a night out.
March 10, 2012 my wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in KW with my brother George and wife Denise. We were taken to the Square One Restaurant for dinner and introduced to the owner, Michael Stewart. Michael is a very gracious host and made us feel like he had invited us to his home for dinner. He also was kind enough to let me play the Baby Grand piano located in the lounge area. Our meal was perfect and was served in a private dinning area. Waiter service was so good I felt like I had him all to myself. No one in the room lacked for attention. I work as a Concierge in a tourist information center...central florida, and when I find that people are traveling to KW I always recomend Michael and the Square One Restaurant.
What a hidden jewel! Our waitress Donna was very friendly (like an old friend), and the food & drinks were to DIE for! Oh, and don't forget to try their key lime pie :)
Lobster Benedict! So good! And loved the visit from Lola, one of the many tropical birds accompanying the restraunt.
Had an awesome dinner with my wife ! Staff was great an beside very helpful making decisions for us what to eat ... didn't regret any kinda bite !!!
I am not very good at ordering food. But this restaurant's seafood dishes are so good. By far the most delicious food I got on key west!
Good food and good service. Also, nice patio.
Great place to have a date night and eat some great food.
I had the filet mignon. It was absolute perfection.
Best burger around, a must try restaurant
Expensive, but worth it.
A+++
מקום נחמד, אוירה טובה, שירות טוב, אוכל טוב
First Dinner in Key West the night we got there and it was worth every second of it. They have the most delicious cucumber, basil Martini-yum! I had the mussel in sauce with coconut rice and sent back a clean plate. More than that the owner is very vested in his customers and took the time to welcome those coming in and customers leaving. We had a question about the magnificent painting on the wall inside and watching him light up as he told us the historic significance was a sheer delight. A star each for the food, location, ambiance, staff, and above/beyond owner engagement.
This place is fantastic. Great drink list with several good craft beer options. As for food we went with the pork pot stickers, the lobster Mac and cheese, and the ahi tuna appetizer. Everything was well prepared and the lobster mac was probably the best I ever had. Massive chunks of full lobster. They didn't skimp at all. A little pricey but not out of this world. Nice room and a little bit off the beaten path of Duval.
Vegan carrot cake to die for! They have a great choice of delicious vegetarian and vegan meals and as I said their vegan carrot cake is over the top delicious. My omnivore family also loved their food. Very friendly waitress as well. Definitely the best restaurant on key west.
Really cool place. Yummy Sangria and great happy hour deals on drinks and food. Had the calamari which was super yummy and spicy. Great place!
Classic eclectic Key West vibe. Excellent brunch menu complete with signature Bloody Mary's and great eggs benedict.
Great Cocktails and beer, super friendly barman! Should have stayed for dinner!! :(
Good american and fusion food restaurant in a recessed section on Duval St.
Very good!
Great place! Got the duck dumplings in a jalapeño lemongrass broth ( I wanted to pick up the bowl and slurp it all down.) and the Arepas were spectacular, they are the sweet corn masa. Main dish was the fried chicken burger wich was great and the Seafood Risotto which IMO wasnt all amazing, I felt the rice had been overcooked giving the dish a very gummy texture and for dessert the key lime pie in a jar. Delicious food and I recommend it!
Alright, my wife thiught the food was fine. I however had different opinions. I had the bbq pork sliders and frenchfries with the chiptole ketchup. What I didn't notice was that the sliders came with a sliced plantain. I kept an open mind, but was disappointed. The pork was soft and semi-moist. It could have used a light sauce mixed in. The fries were good and while I appreciate the chiptole mix in the ketchup, it was stronger than I would have liked. Which brings me to my last and biggest complaint, our waitress was slow and never came by to see how our food was until the end of the meal. She seemingly disappeared for 25 minutes and forgot to take our drink when she first came to the table. I would be willing to give this place another go next time we are in key west but try another one of the dishes.
i returnd to a restaurant that was a favorite of mine. unfortunately, the food has significantly declined. steatartar - poorly presented, boring. the meat was ground too coursely with too much visible fat. shrimp cocktail- smelled fishy, not properly d
Had a wedding reception here, that I was photographing. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.
Had a reservation. Person at the door told us we would have to wait 10 min, 15 min later he tells us to wait another 15 min 20 min later he tells us it's too late and they were closing. We could have gone to other restaurants if he were honest with us. Plus, no body inside finished their food and it smelled like fecal matter inside, maybe a septic problem?
Absolutely terrible food service for a group of 8 persons. We've dined all over Key West and this is by far the worst food and service we've experienced on the island. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!
Square One closed a couple of months ago and is now Ocean Grill serving some of the best breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
they had us wait forever. They were very rude and it was closed by the time we can even order. And the drinks were all watered down.
My fiancé and I walked over here from the hotel we were staying at when we got greeted by the gentleman at the door stating since they have a table of 50 it would be 10 min til we could be seated and waited for 15 which was perfectly fine until after asking for a menu said it would be another 10. We sat for a while without anything to drink and nothing but being ignored. Looking for a potential place for us to dine before our wedding (In Key West), this place is anything but my first choice. Also, I noticed nobody at the large party finished their meals.
