Palizzata Kingston Reviews
Recording history. The first pour of Tullamore Dew at Stella’s. Great bartenders great whiskey. Thanks Alisha for being a part of history.
Excellent food in a nice, casual atmosphere. I had the Italian sausage sauteed broccoli rabe and provolone panini which came with a "side" salad. The sandwich was excellent, and the "side" salad was wonderful; it was huge and included fresh greens, a few tomatoes and a wonderful Gorgonzola dressing. Very yummy.
Fantastic Italian restaurant. Only issue I have is that I love too far to go weekly! Highly recommended! Try the calamari… you won’t regret it.
Amazing service! Attentive but not overwhelming. Quite possibly the best house salad I've had. The special fried mozzarella appetizer with balsamic was incredible. Brought home a huge portion of my eggplant parmesan because I would have had to take a nap in the restaurant if I ate the whole thing. Highly recommend.
Alisha at Stella’s provides outstanding service. As soon as you arrive, you are welcomed with a lovely smile, and she remembers your likes. She makes her customers feel truly valued. Stella’s is extremely fortunate to have Alisha, a wonderful, positive, and beautiful person who makes every customer feel special and appreciated.
This place is not only nostalgic from my childhood, it is truly the best italian food in the Hudson Valley. The house salad is beyond compare, the lasagna is seriously substantial, and the penne a la vodka with chicken has been my favorite forever. Can’t recommend Stellas enough, feels like home and tastes delicious!!
I frequent Stella's at least once a month, usually take out. Always amazing. My husband's fave is the eggplant special. The Marsala is delicious, nice chunky mushrooms. The pic I posted is the grilled vegetables with goat cheese special. Beautifully plated. Included carrots, zucchini, fennel, olives, eggplant and maybe some others I'm forgetting. Potions are generous and worth the price you pay as everything is delicious.
Our dinner was so good! The salad is always a favorite. It’s so fresh and garlicky. Our server was great! She was friendly and made sure everything was perfect. My pasta was amazing! We also had shrimp francese which was also perfect
Great salad, and I'm not a salad eater. Wonderful garlic bread. Fresh summer tomato special. The veal Parm was tasty and large. Side pasta wasn't good, but whatever. Quick, friendly service. Some loud drunken bar patrons on Friday night detraced from the atmosphere. Still, worth a visit
Visiting from Boston and this was a great little surprise! The atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Service with our waitress Katherine was above and beyond, very friendly and attentive. Busboy and hostess were also great (didn't get their names). And, the food was outstanding! Definitely recommend this place.
Absolutely fabulous! No complaints! We got calamari for an app, and they give bread and a salad with a great garlic and oil sauce! I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and my fiancé ordered the chicken parm. The portions are very generous, and they both came out fresh, piping hot! Our waitress was extremely attentive and everyone was friendly. Will be back again! Forgot to take pictures so tried to screen shot a video, doesn’t do the taste justice either way!
This place is so consistent.... Great friendly fast service... THE SALAD IS INSANE!!! the bread with tomatoes is great then the bread basket with their special little spread is very good.... ordered the steamed clam appetizer dish, great!! Spicy pasta with linguine and calamari is a good pick too, a ton of calamari!! Strongly suggest visiting here if your in the area
Good food, staff, and location. Enjoyed the evening.
Dined there on 11/7/25. As usual, delicious Chicken Sorrentino! My husband got the Calamari Fra Diavolo and he was happy with the spiciness. Food was good but we were surprised by the costs of the appetizer special the night we dined and an extra charge to take a side of meatballs home. Of note, there weren't any prices listed on the specials of the day. In general, I always prefer restaurants to be up front about. The crab cake was $27 and the goat cheese with veggies was $24. So we spent $61/62 per person for our apps and dinner. Personally, I think that is high. The goat cheese portion was really small given the price. The pasta is NOT homemade at Stella's. Side of meatballs was $13.50 but an extra charge of $1.50 ("1 TO GO") was weird. Stella's is a sentimental place for me - been going for MANY years - and that is what makes me keep going back. Although, I feel disappointed by their prices at this point given the quality of the food has not gone up. I feel like it used to be yummier - also missing the delicious bread basket that they used to have along with the thicker hummus they used to serve.
Stella’s has been one of my favorite places since I’ve moved to Kingston. The service and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The food is tasty. I usually get the linguine in clam sauce or the spaghetti and meatballs. That never disappoint.
As everyone local knows the salad is delicious! Cuisine could be better. Also was there recently on a beautiful Saturday in November and they could not open their back area to be able to sit outside and enjoy even though we did not ask for service . We would bring our drinks outside and walk back in. That was a little disappointing
Oh my gosh, are you kidding me??? horrible food outrageous prices and yeah, it was packed. I’m not sure why but boy do not eat there. The sign of a good restaurant is how disgusting their bathroom is. Just go to the bathroom first, and you won’t eat there.
