I have been going to this El Pollo Loco since it replaced the Goldsteins Bagels that was there years ago. The food has always been standard but the service used to be nothing special. People were rude, orders were messed up, and it didn't seem like anyone cared. In more recent months, I have found the overall efficiency and kindness of staff to go up and the experience has been better. However, today I was shocked at the service I received going through the drive thru. Raymond was kind and energetic. He was sure to be responsive and helpful, ensured he got everything right before continuing and was very kind in how he handled people. I am not big on writing reviews or anything, but today's service put a smile on my face. If he is treating everyone like this, he deserves a promotion and a raise. He is making sure that people not only get their food, they get it correctly, and with a smile on his face that will put a smile on yours! Thank you Raymond!

They've really picked it up at this location. I'm not sure what changed but the wait times have been cut down to VERY reasonable the food doesn't always taste like it's from yesterday and the bathrooms are actually clean. A stark contrast to what is been for the last couple of years.

The pollo bowels are mostly rice and beans with very little chicken its supposed to be double chicken and the serve very little. What I think is really terrible is the CHURROS lord please don’t sell the dish if you are not going to prepare it properly. There is nothing on them and they are supposed to be meant as a sweet treat. They are selling just dry flour sticks. I’ve bought them multiple times and they are always served the same as this location. Barely any sugar or cinnamon. Literally false advertising. Other locations make them the way they are supposed to. Please do better. Thank you

I go to this location often since it's close to where I live. Their service is always up in the air. One minute they are really good and the next they are really bad. Their chicken is always cooked perfectly with lots of flavor, so the food gets a 5/5. The only thing that draws me away is their forgetfulness during orders and their really long wait times.
Their burritos are so small. I ate 1 and still felt hungry while the other El Pollo Locos are making them pretty large and I feel full eating 3/4th
Very slow service most times I've gone the same time in afternoon it's always at least 12 min in line with only one cashier , also extremely cold!!!! Inside have to eat fat before food gets cold...
This location is super busy. The lines are long at the drive-thru and the chicken is often burnt. They should hire more people to fix these issues.

Hands down, this is the slowest location I’ve ever been to. I waited in the drive through line for slightly under 30 minutes even though there were only 3 cars ahead of me. Remarkably and painfully slow. Avoid this location at all cost.
Sadly all the chicken pieces in my salad were over cooked. This store constantly over cooks the chicken, I thought I'd give them a second chance but they seem to take the dried out chicken and chop it for the salads. Can't even chew some of the pieces. Last of my visits here.
Very slow drive thru, not attentive to utensils. Had to ask for straw and did not provide sporks for side dishes. Food is great as expected
They started off well in this location, but boy has it gone downhill. {And I feel like every restaurant review these days should have a big allowance for the staffing difficulties facing the industry at large - maybe there's some of that going on here.} The food is as good as at any other Pollo Loco; it fills its purpose and your belly. But man this place is filthy. Just gross.

The drive thru is so slow. Staff is friendly. Chicken overcooked, some burnt. Order 2 ckn. br.($3.71 each) 1 is regular sized, the other very small. Time for manager/owner to step it up!

Filthy dining room! Always good food BUT... after suggesting that evvvvery table be wiped of left over food, the worker came out and simply pushed the food onto the floor. Disgusting! But the staff was very nice.
Chicken was good, but everything else was bad. They left out a handful of things as well. Chicken alone saved the experience, but the fact that I needed my own salsa and dressing and such was pretty disappointing.
First the place was dirty yet I could see lots of employees. Second the cashier didn't know her $5 menu we had to correct her. Third the burrito was awful. To top it off the chicken inside the burrito was hard and dry.

Drive thru was extremely long Everything was fine until we arrived home to notice half the order was not in the bag. Maybe they were under staffed that day or who knows. Chicken was burnt also. Hopefully this isn't always the case.
gotta say wow...........got my food and they didn't give me my drink. then I got my drink but the guy who gave it to me was busy talking on his cell phone while working and seemed inconvenienced by my asking. then I didn't get a lid for the drink so I had to find this guy again. STILL on his phone laughing about something he says "we don't have large lids here" so guess I just will try and not spill lol. but hey.......atleast the chicken was dry and tough and terrible
Don't have my favorite the fajita burrito on the menu anymore so I got chicken avocado with extra chicken there was hardly any pico de gallo on there it was really dry one of the worst burritos I've ever had

The food is normally good but they ALWAYS forget something in your order. Somehow I let this happen to me 4 times. Definitely check your bag thoroughly before leaving.

Other employees saw me standing there obviously waiting for help and had no intention of informing whoever was supposed to help. Not a happy place.

I went through the drive through feeling really hungry. It was late at night. They gave me the left over scraps of chicken. They were hard and in eatable. The WORST El Pollo loco that I have ever been to.!!!!!
I specifically bought food here to use their Wifi because the told me they had it. There was no Wifi network to be found.. by the time my food came I couldnt return it.
I waited 15 minutes for somebody take my order. When they took my order they were out of legs and thighs. Somebody from corporate needs to train the staff correctly in customer service and speed of service. This is not the 1st time this happens, the other time we went and they were out of chicken. I'm not sure how this chickem place runs out of their main supply, chicken. Looks like one of the guys was new and a lady came out to yell at him. That is not ok.

Having had some poor meals at the Montrose store, I've not gone back in about a year. But then, I love El Pollo Loco so made a return visit, hoping for the best. This store should be embarrassed to have put out the meal I received. The chicken breast was small, dry and on the verge of being burned. The broccoli was virtually uncooked. The mashed potatoes were watery as was the tasteless gravy. The flour tortillas were practically stale. I just threw $12 away on this meal -- and ended up throwing most of the meal away too. I shall not return.
This will be the third and last time I come to this Pollo Loco. The first time my order was completely messed up in the drive thru, the second time I went into the restaurant and recieved poor customer service. This last time I went I ordered a double chicken bowl only to come to realize the chicken was completely missing! During this same order there was also poor customer service. 0/10 do not recommend
I have visited this location on La Canada 3 times since it opened. The service is pathetic and non-existent. Poor management, wait just to order 15 minutes and another 10 to get your food, this is with hardly anyone waiting. Manager tends to drive thru and does not pay attention to service inside. Talked to manager about it and only excuses of short staff were given, this poor service has happened more than once. They need better management and more staff to service the area. If I were the owner I would visit more often and keep up with this location. Good food and poor service... Lost several clients today!

I love their food, specially the chicken avocado quesadilla, but the last time I ordered a food, they sent me completely wrong order. I called them to get a refund, the employee told me they are gonna call me back to process my refund. And they never did. I will never go back to this locaion again.
I really enjoy el pollo loco, but since the new location I was very disappointed. I walked in as I noticed that the drive through had about 10 cars, after I placed my order I noticed about a handful of customers waiting on their order, after waiting for about 30 minutes my order still was not ready. The customers that were there before me once they got their orders, they were not satisfied with their orders and the chicken did not look cooked correctly. Instead of taking the chance of my family getting sick from the chicken I got my money back and walked out. I'm hoping this is not an ongoing problem.
Bad service for dine in ever since they put the self order kiosks and what you order in the machine they give you something different mashed potatoes had some chewy texture.
It's been several times I found my 8 piece chicken only order burnt to a crisp and my family could not eat it. I feel they stole my money by serving me chicken pieces that are not edible. Check your chicken before you leave the drive-through

El Pollo Loco tends to be pretty consistent. This location is dysfunctional. I normally avoid this particular store because they take way too long. Gave them another shot today and it was the same. Only car in the drive thru, took 5 minutes to take my order and then they fudged it terribly, no receipt and got items I didn’t order plus missing items as well. For some reason this store also always has dry chicken compared to other franchises in the nearby vicinity. Find another spot if you want lunch in the Montrose area..::

Absolutely the worst location. They are constantly getting orders wrong and missing my orders. I would not go here again. Save yourself the headache, especially if you are a working individual.

Prices inflated. Didn't take my EBT card like other pollo loco. Person at counter was lazy and unfriendly and I decided to go to a sit down restaurant in just a few feet away abd a delicious healthy meal for less than pollo loco.

I love El Pollo Loco so every time when I visit the West Coast I would binged. But this location is horrible. The chicken is so dry…. I ordered a 16 pcs family meal for 5 people and the lady gave me 2 salsas! When I asked for napkins I got 4. The place is dirty…the floor hasn’t been swept nor the tables. The restroom has no soap. The garbage bin was overfilled. Management needs to step up at this location. On the other hand, the location in Arcadia is amazing!
This place employees lacking. Tables food crumbs all over, the chair is all messed up. Foods trays still on tables, trash is full. The chicken is dry and over cooked.

The $5 order which was a coupon deal I didn't check before I went out of the store and it was literally throw away chicken it was completely burned up and couldn't eat it the second order was a full meal for two people and it was awful it was stale, the chicken was dry again. At least it wasn't burned up, sides were not up to the quality that I remembered prior to last year I used to go to this store all the time when I was working in that area so I thought it would be good but it sure has changed. Lots of employees behind the counter standing around. I frequented various El Pollo locos at least three or four times a week prior to the pandemic I definitely won't be back to this one and it gives me serious doubts about the rest of how the chain is run these days.

To top it off the sign for the drive thru was turned off or not operational. The debit machine was down. So we had to pay cash. We didn’t get asked if we wanted salsa. And the churros didn’t have and sugar or cinnamon on them. Corporate really needs to send a representative out to help this team. The chicken was dry and practically had no meat on the bones. I think that there needs to be quality control on what goes out to customers even if that means throwing out old product not good enough for consumption. The rest of the food was ok but e really would like to see an improvement of the quality and effort put out by this location. 1👍🏼 outta 3👍🏼’s because it seems they are really only doing the bare minimum.
