Curry Up Now La Jolla Reviews
I really enjoy this place! I go here almost every day and the Hella Vegan bowl (in the picture) is by far my favourite. Depending on when you go the wait time will range from absolutely no wait to maybe 5-10 minutes (never anything outrageous though). The staff is always friendly and always hooks me up with the portions. I highly recommend this place and since opening it has become my favourite place to eat on campus!
Wowoow!! The Best Indian food!! The Samosa Chaat dish is incredible. The perfect blend of flavors. Will definitely return
The cashiers here are very funny and friendly, especially Noah and Tim. The food is nice and very filling, can last you up to a whole day if you have their burritos for breakfast. Would recommend to anyone their pizzas and the fried stuffs. Great service and food overall.
If you have never tried Indian food and want something different and delicious 😋 you should try a samosa chat.. the perfect combination of flavors, sweet, spicy, creamy and crunchy

The negative reviews seem to be primarily directed at online delivery order—I always order and pickup directly from the counter and have had awesome food! It’s warm, fresh, fast, and well priced. Definitely one of the better price center options. My theory is that ucsd students are actually just impossible to please (seriously why does literally every food spot on campus never have higher than 3 star?). I loved this place and will return!
By vegan burrito was SO GOOD! Shoutout to the nice guy working who recommended it to me. It also comes with a free chai!!!! Both guys working were so helpful and nice! Food was delicious :)
Awesome lowkey spot in ucsd campus I would say it’s really well put together with some authentic North Indian flavors. I get the thali but I have been trying more and more things there m, my fav place nearby my house
This is one of my favorite places to eat on the campus. The burritos are the real star. The chicken tikka masala is the real star. I've tried the Makhini one as well, but it wasn't as good. I wish they lamb as a choice here as well.

It was my second time trying Indian food & I really liked it! The basmati rice and chicken and paneer tikka masala were very flavorful. The naan was crunchy and appeared to be overbaked. Overall it was a very satisfying and filling meal, would come again. The cashier guy, Noah? also has great customer service.
The buttered chicken plate was very good with a good portion. I don’t recommend the sweet potato fries . They are a bit soggy.
The food is decent with couple vegan options

I've only ordered a few times from this place and so far, the food experience has been great. Don't come here with the expectations that this is on the same level with other Indian restaurants. People might argue that it lacks authenticity, but in my opinion, it still taste great. I really enjoyed the sweet potatoes waffle fries—this is definitely my go to sides to satisfy my fries cravings. If you're looking for decent curry and butter chicken, come here. Service is remarkable. I often get served by Noah, and he's one of the really welcoming and friendly staff. Would come again for the food and this extraordinary service.

Got the burrito combo box on Uber Eats BOGO promo, the burrito was huge and probably weighed 2lbs, it was completely packed with rice but the spices probably cardamom was overwhelming, couldn't finish it and not much protein in the burrito. Samosa was good and loved it with the mint sauce.
This place is situated in UCSD campus. The food is super basice and no matter what you get, all of it tastes the same. I had lots of hopes with this place as I been to other curry up now but this one is not even close

So we placed 2 orders here, it says on the board that you get one tea with every order, when after paying i asked for the tea the lady at the counter told me u have to ask before u pay!!! When u r new how do u know that? Also if thats the case isnt the staff supposed to ask u if u want the tea instead of putting the onus on the unsuspecting customer. Whats the point of the offer if u behave like this?!
Hot food is delicious, but I didn't know there was cold food. I ordered Kachori Chaat and I couldn't even finish it😵💫 Staff is amazing! The two stars is for the food. It's very expensive for the size I'm actually getting, especially the snacks.

Front desk lady she was very rude. This is my worst experience ever. The quality of food is zero. When I ask the employee that the tea is not fresh . Instead of solving the problem the employee start argue with me . Never coming back again. Not RECOMMENDED
They keep on canceling my orders. Multiple times now. It’s frustrating
I order the food online. The bread was not even packed properly. They just put lemon slice with the bread. The bread was not even foil wrapped or wrapped. Bread was all wet. On the top of that they put a heavy box of curry. I ordered pav bhaji. The bhaji had non mashed big chunk of potatoes. Some were not even chopped. Very unhygienic and unprofessional.
The sexy fries was $12 dollars for are a very underwhelming portion size. Their menu says free chai with an order and I asked for it and it was on my ticket. When my food arrived they never gave me my chai I waited 5 mins and they never gave it to me so I left because I don't want to beg for food they put on my ticket. This has also happened in the past if you can't afford it then don't offer it on the menu please. They also always mix my name with another customers. You don't have to get my name right but keep your ticket names in order. The place is too expensive, food is too mediocre and service is too sloppy to justify paying up. I don't expect anything more than reading the name on the ticket and giving everything you put on the ticket at once

The paneer tikka masala was bland but somehow still made my stomach upset
