Thai Corner in Lake Forest is a family-run restaurant known for authentic and delicious Thai food. The Tom Yum soup, noodle soup with meat, and green curry are highly recommended. Service is generally fast and friendly, though one reviewer found the food mediocre.

Excellent food. Went for dinner at 7pm and restaurant was pretty empty. Service was prompt. Green curry with pork was tasty. Vermicelli salad was excellent. Not too spicy.
Food was amazing! Got the lunch special which includes a free Thai tea or Thai coffee. Such a great deal. Service was amazing and friendly and overall great restaurant. Highly recommend! Will def be back. Cheese wontons and crazy cashew was my favorite.
A pretty fair deal for a lunch special. I enjoyed the food.
The first time I ordered from Thai Corner, I was pleasantly surprised. I happened to crave Thai food one night and stumbled to the nearest Thai restaurant. I’m so grateful to have discovered, in my opinion, one of the best Thai food restaurant in the area. Needless to say, I have ordered more than several times. The staff are sweet and happened to remember me and what I ordered the first time. How wonderful! I’m placing a new order as I write my review. I definitely recommend Thai Corner👍🏻
, great food good prices nice friendly staff
Wait staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely will be back.
We used to visit tasty Thai as our favorite Thai place, but had to switch when they closed. This place is awesome! Glad we found it.
Had basil pork and ginger chicken. Very nice task and authentic. Close to home so we will come back.
What are my favorite Thai places in all South Orange County. Their flavors never disappoint.
Best Thai food ever. Thai is my favorite type and this place is like having a mom cook home cooked meals. My bday spot!
I don't normally like pad thai, but I really liked theirs. I also really like the tom ka and love the yellow curry. Order it at least medium.
Excellent Thai food. Tasty and spicy exactly as I like. Friendly service. Recommended.
Great place to eat!! We are from Las Vegas and we tried a lot of places but this one is one of our favorite places. 100% recommended
Great little place, if you are into Thai food, this place seems very authentic and tastes great!
Our favorite Thai take out restaurant in the area. We always get their red curry, Tom yum soup and pad Thai.
My favorite Thai place. A great family owned business with the freshest ingredients.
Great lunch special with free Thai iced tea or coffee, soup, and main course for $8.95!
Excellent lunch menu and food with good service and prices all in clean and decorative surroundings.
This place is so tasty with great prices. One of my favorite Thai places.
Great little spot for Thai food, fills up quickly during the week for lunch!
The yellow curry here was amazing. Great customer service and relaxing atmosphere
Good, authentic thai restaurant, many veggie options, good quality, good flavor, enjoy!
Great place, great prices, very helpful waitresses, food is delicious.
Chow mien was great, Thai iced tea pretty good. Def will return!
Everything is delicious here every time I eat here
I pass other Thai places to eat here. Friends from Palm Springs come visit just to eat here. It's amazing. Ale's cooking is just too much yum (pronounced "Ell"). Just eat here already. Tom Kha soup is unique and so tasty, try it with rice in your bowl. Ok, just made myself hungry...
Take out order due to Covid.. Great employees.. Clean location.. Great customer service when you eat in. No matter what you order the portions are huge.. Freshly prepared.. Great prices!! Best Thai food in Orange Co!!
This place is my go-to place for awesome Thai food. Try the different curries, they're very good and the phad thai that my wife orders is always spot on! The Thai coffee isn't too sweet which is great for us!
The food is obviously fresher than other local Thai joints. They don't oversalt the food nor overcook the veggies in the stirfry. The crying tiger and pad see ew are our staples. Pineapple fried rice was super tasty!
A local favorite. A good to place for dining in or take out. Such a sweet staff/family owned. The Thai tea is delicious as well as all the food. Must try!
This place is hidden away in the corner but an absolute gem! Authentic Thai flavours and really good value considering how expensive everything else is these days. Entrees come with rice FTW!
Almost once a week, I go here for their Pad Thai. You can make it vegetarian by changing the protein to tofu. They're very accommodating here and the people serving you always have a smile on their face.
Love this place. Mother and daughter ran. I love their yellow curry with chicken so much. Lunch special under $10 and comes with small salad and Thai tea.
This is my new favorite thai food place! I'm an avid thai food eater and I just moved in up the street. I have been here many times already and the food is great and the people even better! Great pad thai and tom kah soup.
Came by on New Years Eve for lunch. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was tasty and generous. Really happy we found a good local place.
The lady behind the counter (I believe the owner) is the sweetest. I got the basic, chicken pad thai, and it was the best I ever had. I wish I lived closer
First time here and the owner is so friendly, aims to please! Great dishes, fast service, and checked in several times. Next time, I'll try dessert.
This is my new favorite Thai place in So Cal. So so so good. I can't stop thinking about the meal I just had. I will definitely be returning...again and again.
Great place. Very consistent. Food is cooked perfectly all the time. They do not deliver though. Never had a complaint about any of the food.
The Hubs & I are never disappointed with the food here, nor the service. Staff is always super friendly & there is hardly a long wait. The food is delicious whether You're a carnivore or a vegetarian. Come hungry & enjoy some yummy Thai food! ☺
My husband and I lived in Thailand for a couple of years and can say with experience that this restaurant does it right. Some of our favs are Crying tiger, Pad Siew/Pad Keemauw, and Panaeng Curry. We only ever get take out so the atmosphere isn’t important to us but can confirm that since the pandemic they serve your order in to-go boxes whether you eat in or take it.
Definitely the best lunch menu around, and I wish they offered it on the weekends too because most people work during the week! The lunch menu includes an entree, soup, salad, and Thai tea for about $8. The food is also very authentic, and tastes SO delicious...my personal favorite dish is the yellow coconut curry and the crying tiger. The workers are also very friendly and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes authentic, but inexpensive, thai food.
My family all love Thai corner! Good food and friendly service! Never had an entree we didn't like. The dinner specials that include soup, appetizer and drink are a great value!
The best Thai food in Lake Forest and Chino Hills! Yes I've been to both of them and they are consistent on the quality. Every item I've tried here is done right especially the tom kha gai (chicken coconut soup). The lunch specials are a great value at $8-10 with soup and Thai tea.
Great tasting food and I came here every Sunday for lunch pineapple rice is my favorite
Family run operation with authentic Thai dishes. If you haven't tried papaya salad, you need to try it here. It's not your typical ripe papaya, but a Thai version that is flavorful, spicy, and delicious. Another can't miss dish here is the green curry - pure heaven.
Family owned restaurant. Really great authentic Thai food. Staff is so friendly. I love the tom yum soup and beef noodle soup. So good! Highly recommend!
Went here for dinner with the family and it did not disappoint. Authentic Thai spot with friendly service, lovely interior with traditional Thai decor. Very nice food, loved the yellow curry, papaya salad, pad see yew, shrimp, chicken, everything was delicious. Loved spending time with family at a truly tasty authentic Thai restaurant. Highly recommend and will return again soon.
We have gotten take out from Thai Corner several times and we have always had a good experience. Reasonably priced delicious Thai food. We especially enjoy the cream cheese puffs, drunken spicy Thai spaghetti and all the curries. Takes about 20 minutes for your meal to be ready. Perfect for a delicious dinner at home.
My favorite Thai place of all time. The lunch specials with free Thai tea really bang for the buck. We love their eggplant basil and pad Thai ( don't forget to ask for their fish sauce chilli 😋)
Deliciously authentic Thai food and warm, friendly service. Just right with the ingredients (no skimping on the good protein bits) and we felt it was great value & overall good experience. Looking forward to future lunches / dinners here. Highly recommend.
Love their food! Their lunch specials are good too. Food is real tasty. I have tried their soups, green curry, pad see ewe, basil fried rice - all very good. Their Pad Thai is terrible though! Iced tea is also not that good. They have increased their prices and reduced their quantities recently.
This is a great Thai food restaurant by my home. I have eaten there many times and the pad Thai is great along with the curries. Nice staff good atmosphere being a authentic Thai place. Thanks and I'll see you again soon
One of my all time favorite Thai restaurants. Delicious, fresh food, generous portions and I think the Thai soup has healing properties. Anytime I feel sniffles coming on it is my go too.
Comida excelente. Fui a cenar a las 7 p. m. y el restaurante estaba bastante vacío. El servicio fue rápido. El curry verde con cerdo estaba delicioso. La ensalada de fideos estaba excelente. No picaba demasiado.
It was a distinct pleasure to finally experience this highly anticipated Thai establishment. The ambiance immediately transported me to Thailand, a feeling unequivocally reinforced by the exceptional cuisine. Each dish showcased an impressive authenticity of flavor. The Green Curry with chicken was a particular highlight, perfectly satisfying a long-held craving. Additionally, the shrimp fried rice was a masterclass in balance, offering a delightful texture and exquisite taste. Beyond the culinary delights, the staff's remarkable hospitality and the impeccable cleanliness of the premises further enhanced the overall experience. I eagerly anticipate a return visit to savor the green curry again and explore more of their enticing menu.
Their foods are so delicious! Especially I liked their fried rice! It’s the Best taste ever!! The price ranges are between $11-16. The potions are big too. They offer great lunch specials on Monday to Friday 11:00-3:00PM. The price is $10.95 and comes with Thai Ice Tea or Ice Coffee!! They close every Tuesday!!
I used to go for the excellent lunch specials many years ago and this is my first time back, this time for dinner entres. This place is still good with tentative service and super friendly people. They also have beers and wines available. My pad see ewe had more veggie filler and less noodle than I like and softer tofu. I'm sure a special request on my part will satisfy my tastes next time. In total I ordered Tom Yum Kai, Pad See Ewe and Crying Tiger. All the veggies used tasted very fresh and the dishes were excellent. I could eat the Tom Yum only and be very happy.
it wasn't bad
Good coconut soup, especially for how cheap it is. A little to many mushrooms though. More carrots, or cilantro would be great
Food was okay. Could've been a regular if they were more friendlier and more transparent about their prices.
They over seasoned the food a bit for my husband but I enjoyed mine.
Excellent service and solid food. You can't beat their lunch menu.
Good Thai food. Smallish restaurant, good for take out.
Delicious food at reasonable price. People were friendly.
This restaurant has a good lunch special. They have a long list of dishes, served with a Thai iced tea, soup, rice, and a fried appetizer for under ten dollars. The staff is very friendly and the food is always served quickly.
Quaint lil place in the lake Forest- Irvine area. They have a nice variety of dishes that are easily personalized. Good lunch specials (includes free iced coffee/thai tea 😍 along with the usual soup and salad) and good portions. Friendly staff/owners. Pro-tip: would definitely recommend their sticky mango rice.
I've been coming with the family on a regular basis for years now. The food is always good and the service is great. The waitresses are always very helpful. Everything is good here and very tasty. The only complaint I have is that they have the AC on very low so it's always cold in here
Busy at lunch but, they still are fairly quick and the food is fresh and delish! I recommend the currys and stirfrys over the pad thai. The entrees are a great deal too, lunch and dinner specials combine soup, salad and a drink. That combo makes it a great deal!
Very good Thai restaurant that willake off-menu items, like Red Thai Curry Fish. The layers of spice and flavor make this place better than most. Call ahead and you can pickup to go in 15 minutes.
The food is fairly good, the service is not the best but it's ok. This place is closed for one hour for their lunch I believe. If you are there at that time they will let you know that they are closing and you have to leave and take your food with you. Where are you going to eat they don't know and don't care as long as you get out. Basically it's not a good place to eat.
Place is kinda small but I always pick up to go so that's not issue for me. I loved that cashew nut and vegetable soup with tofu. This is better thai place than other places in this area.
wish they could bring back serving food on actual plates someday. Ate here a long time ago before 2020 and I remember they used to serve their food on actual plates instead of takeout containers.
Above Average Thai food. Quality is consistent and has nice staff. Curry Chicken and Crying Tiger are among my favorites.
The Thai food here tastes better than other Lake Forest Thai restaurants. Good portions, the spice level customization was perfect. Good for groups. Thai is also a great go-to for vegetarian friendly fare. The Crispy Tofy, Crying Tiger, Papaya Salad, Rad Nah, and Seafood Hot Plate were big hits with the family.
Atmosphere great, affordable prices, and my food was delicious but definitely spicier than a 2 out of a scale of 1-10. I like things with a little kick and this left my lips burning and nose running. Definitely round down your spice level to be safe unless if you really enjoy the physical side effects of spicy food
Typical Southern Californian Thai Restaurant but it’s our favorite of them all when it comes to flavor. Prices are a tiny bit higher than some other places and the lacking lunch special keeps us away sometimes which is sad. Close by place does lunch for 7.95 and it’s not as good but also satisfying. We would like to visit more often if they had a better deal for lunch. If you don’t care about that, this is the spot. Drunken Thai spaghetti, pineapple fried rice and the curries are our favorites.
Average tasting dishes, Crying tiger beef and Golden prawn was a fail. Only chicken satay was good for me. Food came out slow.
This place has great customer service and a wonderful seating area for dining in. I definitely enjoy their soups particularly when you are dining in and they bring it in the traditional soup dish. It's a great time. However, when I went to order take out this time during COVID, I found that they had increased their prices and decreased their sizes. The takeout container for soup is extremely small especially when you consider you are paying $9 for a small. While the food itself is of acceptable quality (it's nothing to write home about), I just couldn't get over how small the portion was for $9-10. It almost felt like daylight robbery. Definitely not going again until they improve their takeout sizes.
The night I was there, they were under staffed. I had to sit and wait for my food, to-go, for about 20 mins. I ordered the chicken pad thai, it taste pretty good, but for $10 it was a very small proportion.
Los platos de sabor mediocre. La carne de tigre llorón y el langostino dorado fueron un fracaso. Solo el pollo satay me gustó. La comida tardó en llegar.
Felt sick afterwards. The pad Thai was drenched in too much sauce couldn’t finish half of it. Dine in experience was all served in plastic to go containers, cups, forks etc. Also the high chair for toddlers they gave me was so dirty and sticky I had to use like 5 baby wipes to wipe it down :/
Soup was just warm. Food was OK. Although pleasant, Server didn't come back to the table to see how everything was nor was my drink refilled.
Food is crazy overpriced for the portions. There are lots of great places near by but this one is a skip
Maybe Friday noon is their busiest hour but the service was very slow that day and food was just so so.
Our food didnt have flavor, too expensive for the amount of food was given to us ( carry out)
Unfortunately, Thai corner has fallen in food quality. Service was good, but the food makes this place a hard pass with so many other good choices nearby.
People were very friendly... They smiled in my face and joked with me while they served me rotten crab. :! I didn't notice till I got home set it down in the kitchen came back a min later and my whole kitchen smelled like sour crab. I thought I was trippin till I took a bite and promptly spit it back out. I kept gagging for the next half hour. I was so mad that I had spent $30+ on something I couldn't or wouldn't eat. I ended up eating pb&j... Never going there again
Did the nice family sell or go on vacation? First time in years the food wasn't delicious, it was shockingly awful instead, and none of the women we are used to were there. )-:
Stay away! There is a reason they were empty at dinner time on Friday. 1. Sit down prices for take out quality dining experience. They served us in paper plates and styrofoam/plastic containers. Plastic forks and spoons. Seriously??!! For a sit down?! $57 before tip for 2 people (1 tea drink only). 2. Food was mediocre at best. Ordered Wanton soup, Pad Woon Sen, and an Eggplant dish. a) The Pad Woon Sen was the most tasteless Thai dish I've ever had. Very bland, no flavor. How is that even possible? b) The eggplant dish was supposed to be spicy (level 4). It was not at all. Zero spice! Instead, they included some hot/sour sauce on the side that my husband was supposed to mix with it to make it spicy. By the time it got to level 4, he had to add so much sauce that it made the dish very sour. That was gross. c) the wanton soup was tasty-ish but overcooked and Oh My God SALTY!!!!! There were noodle flakes all over the thing from being over cooked, the meat was dry and overcooked, and the soup was so salty, it was almost inedible! It felt like it had been cooking/sitting in the pot all day. 3. I asked for water with no ice, they brought a small styrofoam cup with warm water in it. Disgusting. 4. Service was really nice but the lady started cleaning while we were still eating. The strong smell of the floor cleaners did not go well with dinner at all. I know it was 10-15 mins before their closing time but that was not cool. Bottom line: Overpriced for what it is - sit down prices for plastic/paper "dining," mediocre, tasteless food, way too salty, and the cleaning while we were eating was not a nice touch. Go somewhere else. For this price, you can experience fine dining and better food at any of the other sit-down Thai restaurants in the area. We should have trusted our guts when we saw the place empty at dinner time on a Friday. It's empty for a reason. Never again.
Ordered large soup, pad Thai, pad see Yu and rice. Cost: $68. She hung up before I could ask for the price, I assumed it was reasonable until I saw the bill. Food is just okay. Not coming back as there are other good options around.
The price is way too high, and the dishes look kinda dirty. Not coming back here again.
Had a serious diarrhea after dining in for lunch. Stay away from this place!
Went here with high hopes due to past reviews and was severely disappointed. Portions are small for the price. I got the pad thai which is my favorite food and was let down. The pad thai was so flavorless and bland. The noodles were all stuck together and some were completely colorless like the sauce couldnt even get through to flavor. I would not recommend and unfortunately will not be returning.
Went to thist place to have dinner tonight. They served me on paper plates and paper bowl for soup. I asked for a tea and they brought me a tea in disponible cup . Thei food tasted horrible. I will never go to that place again.
Ordered chicken phat tai. It's very blend. No sweet and sour taste. Very disappointed.
Omg, I saw people in there eating out of Styrofoam containers and I didn't even smell any food cooking. Their menus are yellowed and they have the audacity to have them laminated lol, like total 80's vibe. I bought a thai tea to be nice since I was there, but I'm straight. Hard pass.
I just got lunch here and to throw it out. It smelled rancid and there was hardly any chicken mostly onions, a lot of onions! and noddles. I asked for peanut sauce and didn’t get it. The lady was rude and I could hardly understand her, I should have walked out then but decided to try it anyway. first and last for this place. I do not recommend this restaurant!!
There prices are high for terrible food. And service. That was the worst pad Thai I ever had. There are better places to go in lake Forest.
