Coriander Modern Indian Larchmont Reviews
It is a lovely place in Larchmont to get authentic Indian food. The staff is attentive and friendly. There are a nice mix of options for the whole family, seafood, neat, and lots of vegetarian options. I'm quite a fan of their Rogan Josh, but their Naan is always top notch. If you like Indian food and are in the area is is well worth a try!
Food was awesome! Service was just as good. The waitress was helpful in her suggestions and really knew the menu well. The atmosphere is really cozy in a nice part of town. I've never had an Indian beer so I tried the Taj Mahal which was really good. Went really well with the food.
Amazing food as always, never had a bad meal here ever. Also, great to see Joseph back, management and staff take time out to know you. Awesome vibe.
Beautiful little place, lovely ambiance, funny waiter, and absolutely incredible food! I had the coconut curry shrimp (I think it was called?) and my girlfriend had the Tandoori chicken. Also had the mango/yogurt drink (non-alcoholic) which was AMAZING! (Mango Lassi I think it was called, not sure) We were both super happy with the food and service. Will be coming back very soon :) P.S. You can tell which one of us knows how to take good photos lol Note: My photo of the coconut curry shrimp is NOT of the whole portion, I just like to eat bit by bit on a separate plate 😂
Great experience eating food of different cultures. I was so satisfied with my visit and meal. It was our first visit and we ask the waiters recommendation. So we had -Tri Onion Bhaji ( which I'm only used to as onion rings but the onions tasted more like sweet potato) and Chicken samosa for appetizers. The main dish was CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA with rice TANDOORI CHICKEN HALF and bread. Dessert was Gulab Jamun. The food was great and the service was excellent. The only problem u gave us when I got the bill. It required tipping off if the tax.. I'm sorry, I don't do that.
Amazing Indian food with an attentive and generous staff. Absolutely a must try for the best Indian cuisine in the area.

Amazing Indian food with an attentive and generous staff. Absolutely a must try for the best Indian cuisine in the area.
Excellent premium Indian food and accommodating staff, in a cozy and upscale setting.
This is one of my favorite restaurants!!! The food is always flavorful, consistent and delicious! The service is always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is modern and chic. Highly recommended!
The food overall was excellent. The unexpected star was that the Naan was so fluffy and went perfectly with the Chicken Tikka. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked. The only miss was the calamari were somewhat tough and dry but the rest of the dishes were great. It is a little piece but worth it.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Great for a date night and cozy cuisine. Love coming here!
Best lamb chops I've ever had and they are award winning. Everything in this authentic Indian restaurant is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is more on the fancy side, with incredible service. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
Coriander has comically horrid service! The food is great, but the most consistently ridiculously bad service. I begged my wife to give them another because i like their food. We have done this numerous times and always left angery over the poor service. Well tonight they did not disappoint! 30 minutes to get a drink even though we were only one of two tables in the restaurant at 6:30PM. It took another half hour and me going to the owner to put an order in. Again I had to flag someone down for a refill during the long wait. An hour or so and no appetisers. I felt the whole time like we were bothering them and they were avoiding us. When dinner did come out and hour and fifteen In, they forgot the Nan which came after we finished dinner. The whole time no one stopped by the table, I had to walk to the front and ask for help any time we needed anything. But you his is par for the course. The food is great but if you’re expecting any level of service this is not your place.
This is NOT Indian street food. This is top level Indian cooking. It’s five star all the way. Unique flavors comparable to the newer Michelin star Indian restaurants in nyc. And yes, it’s few extra dollars to eat at this level. Enjoy the best!

1/7/25: The food here is so good!!!! Lots of flavor and just delicious. Service was fine and they brought out a chocolate cake slice for my mom’s birthday. Food came quickly. It was quiet when we arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday night. Prior review: Yummy food and delicious spicy margarita. I liked the complimentary edamame too. I got the chicken biryani (a lot of rice but very good), my friend got garlic naan, a cauliflower dish, and something else which I can’t remember. I don’t love picnic table seating which is what they have outside, and they didn’t clean the table before we sat down, but other than that, the service was quick and friendly, and we had no trouble getting seats outside around 8pm on a Friday night.
Lamb biryani was excellent but with tax $40 for a single takeout meal was excessive. The prices are not listed online either so I was surprised when I came to pick up and it was so expensive.

Excellent food but expensive. When you order chicken you get too much meat for one person and no vegetables. Which is really too bad! Th service is not great. We ordered a bottle of wine last night, when it was very hot outside, the bottle was chilled perfectly, but unfortunately left on our table without an ice bucket! The table was dirty and so we're the glasses. This is regrettable! The food is really good, but the service is not up to par.
This place used to be good. The service was terrible; the food was oily and the tandoori chicken was burnt. This place has always been on the pricey side but now the prices are outrageous. I won’t be back.

I know Indian food, and objectively the food is mediocre and that’s being kind. Everything is old and I particularly resent being served stale rice given the cost of it to restaurants, that kind of says it all for me if they’re scrimping on the cheapest thing they serve then what are they doing with everything else. It’s priced for what the market will bear not what it’s worth, for the quality it should be 50% cheaper. Service was bad to the point of being unpleasant. If you absolutely have to have Indian food and you really can’t drive further than larchmont and you everything else is closed then it’s an option.
This used to be a good option for Indian food in the area. However, at some point in the summer of 2025 they raised prices on all menu items by 20% across the board. As a regular patron, I was so shocked I asked the manager for confirmation this was not a typo. So they will lose all of my business and going forward I will go into Manhattan for affordable Indian fare (!!!).
Absurdly - almost comically expensive. Like most Indian restaurants there is no kids menu. Fine. But my little boy wanted the chicken Tikka masala (shocker) with plain naan. Base price for the dish is $22 (presumably for the sauce alone 😂) then you pick your protein. $8 for chicken so now we’re at $30 for the most basic curry on the menu. Other curries are more expensive. God help you if you prefer shrimp ($14 supplement so $36 for the dish). $5 for the naan. The SIDES like daal (beans) are $16.50. Are you kidding me?! Casual dinner for four with no drinks or appetizers? $230 after tax and tip. The menu is a middle finger to customers. Unsustainable business. Won’t be around for long unless they make some adjustments. Restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday evening (lots of takeaway orders it seemed). I told the guy what I thought of the prices and he just shrugged and walked away.

The food was expensive and tasted quite bland. The atmosphere is nice, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you like good Indian food.
The place is nice, but food isn't. Overpriced and very homemade style. As a person of indian origin, i wouldn't recommend it. Unless you have never tried indian food ever.

i went to Coriander for a few years before the pandemic. everything was perfectly delicious. our first visit after the pandemic was this past December 23, 2025, and i wish i could give it less than zero stars; everything was disgusting, simply inedible. i was sick all night, hurling. never again; BEWARE!! i will check again to make sure this review is not deleted or edited. others who were with me will check, as well
