Mulligan's Beach House Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Reviews
I would give them more stars if available! We stopped for lunch on a Monday. They werent too busy. The waitress was awesome, took our drink order and the kids orders first! Came back with drinks and got our adults order. The kids food was fast and kept them occupied, they could take their time eating without being rushed by the adults. Rum Runner, Tropical Storm and Daiquiris were perfect for beach drinks! Fireworks Shrimp was fantastic, burgers and fish sandwiches were great. Mac & Cheese the kids had was really good. My son said the Chicken Strips & French Fries were two thumbs up! He enjoyed the Playground Punch as well! To top all the great food was the awesome staff! The hostess told the kids they could get into the Treasure Box if their parents approved, she checked with us before she gave the kiddos some magic markers. The waitress (as mentioned above) timed everything perfect. Absolutely Recommended!!
My husband and I are sitting here right now and I must say the food is absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Chicken in Paradise sandwich, and it was tender, juicy and very flavorful. I ordered Shrinp Alfredo and ommmgosh it is so delicious and slightly spicy just the way I like it. Our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. The restaurant also has a nice beachy atmosphere as well. We will definitely come back here again.
Gets VERY busy but our first place we run to for drinks and food. We share cajun Alfredo shrimp, the portions are a good size. Love the firecracker shrimp and Flatbread pizza. Drinks and atmosphere is great. Live music on weekend nights. Can't say enough about this establishment 👍👍👍👍
The location is perfect and the food is great. Come enjoy the atmosphere. Brittney is so great she makes you feel like your a local even if you are a snowbird. The sausage gravy is like you get in the Deep South not expected on a beach place. A true local experience
What a fun place to set close to the beach and soak up the local atmosphere that is all around, and enjoy a cold drink, with some very tasty food. The service was great, the staff very friendly, and a fun place to just unplug, and let your everyday problems vanish away. It's also literally just a few feet away from the pier, which makes it even more fun for everyone in the family, that may want to stretch there legs, while visiting Mulligans Beach House 🙂
This is a great restaurant with good prices. They have a breakfast special for three dollars and change that gets you two eggs, bacon & toast. Its a pretty good deal. The person I was with ordered that. I purchased an egg white veggie omelette with hot sauce which was outstanding but a little bit more money. It was well worth the price. The service was amazing, atmosphere was friendly and nice. I will definitely be coming back here.
Looking for a place to have breakfast place you never tried? You always question yourself should I or should I not. Well for us is the Perfect Pl., #1 and to mention that Constantina she was so amazing and kind very professional. She made us feel welcome and very comfortable. She never let our coffee cool down Thank you Constantina.
This place is so great. It always hits the spot. I tried the fried fish Rachel this time and I really enjoyed it. It comes with some chips. They also have a great happy hour that runs daily from 2 to 6 PM. It includes appetizers and drinks. I can’t wait to come back and try another fish dish.
Where do I even start?! It was amazing and I’ll definitely come back!! Our waiter was so friendly and funny, and the food was delicious!! I had such a nice lunch here and I recommend this place for sure!!🙌
We traveled from Detroit Michigan one we on our honeymoon Fort Lauderdale Florida we have tried many restaurants bars in the area could not find a better place to eat or have drinks on the area. I highly recommend this place. On top of this review we have visited Mulligans several times this week and not once have we had a complaint who is outstanding staff is great and much more
I rate them 5 stars from a previous visit. I was introduced to this place by my cousin i normally go to a different beach. There pancakes have a very good aroma from the moment you recieve them and they taste great. They have great portions and there price is reasonable.Had a little issue this time around but they are super friendly and fixed the problem, . Really like there decor, and offer family options with kids eat free Thursday. I will definetly come here again and try a lunch special next time. I have only been here twice and both times i had breakfast.
We travel to the FLL area several times a year and our last trip we took we came here for the first time. Ashley, our server, was highly attentive to our table and knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure our drinks, food and anything else we ordered were placed and served to us promptly. We are definitely impressed with the size of the menu and the quality of the food, price and service and plan to make this a regular stop on all future visits.
We actually ate here twice- (rare for us) once for breakfast and the next day for lunch. The food is SO GOOD! We had the Country Benedict both times and shared. The staff is amazing and always smiling and having a good time. The outdoor seating offers an ocean view on the left side. Such a great place to relax and eat some INCREDIBLY tasty biscuits and gravy that’s perfectly seasoned- no need to add salt or pepper. The scrambled eggs are grill style- flat and folded- which I usually don’t like- but these were phenomenal both times- unheard of! The home fries were crispy outside and soft inside and again perfectly seasoned. The Beach House Bloody Mary is a winner for sure- garnished with a jumbo cocktail shrimp, crisp celery, a lemon and lime- and 4 olives- DELICIOUS! They have a really cheap breakfast special as well if you are on a tight budget- under $4 and you get 2 eggs toast and coffee. There’s also free entertainment- a cute bird visited our table and stole the sugar packets- LOVED IT! If you’re looking for a home cooked meal and enough to share- this is your place.
As an operator of multiple bars I inherently am not one to review places. But for this place i had to! My entire family and friends group was down for my brother's wedding. We almost skipped that just to hang out here. The is service and then there is hospitality. And Tyler, not just our server but now somewhat adopted into family, was the picture perfect definition of what great hospitality is and should be. I'd steal him to come run one of my places in a heartbeat and he could name his price. Far too often you go out and the staff are just taking orders and dropping off drinks, not here. Knew everyone in my group by name after first introduction, knew what we like and how we like it. Perfect timing and not a hoverer nor gone we needed something. If I could clone this guy and staff my bars with just all Tyler's, then life would too easy. Thank you Tyler, for not only being a wonderful host but also someone we now consider a friend. We will most definitely be coming g back to vacation here soon and this joint had a lot to with it!!!!
Great drinks, phenomenal NIGHT TIME bartenders! We had a phenomenal time with great music. So much so that we went back every night. We went for breakfast twice. Both times the kid tending bar was pretty zoned out but our food was great. Rich and the ladies at night though were absolutely epic though!
Place is great, indoor and outdoor seating. Had a bunch of appetizers one night for dinner while drinking with friends and they were all good. Had breakfast there twice and each time it was perfect. They give you large portions so the prices are reasonable. Happy hour there is also good, 1/2 price food and booze.
This place is great. Very relaxing atmosphere. (Indoors or outside). The food was amazing. I ordered the chicken Bella wrap. My kids ordered the a bacon burger and fish fry. All meals were perfect, well cooked, juicy and the fries and chips crunchy. Floria was our server. Very attentive and recommended our delicious choices. Highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back!
Been to Mulligan’s a few times, so it’s somewhat of a nostalgic visit when we come back. It’s not the same as the first time (in 2018) but still a great experience. Good drinks, fun atmosphere, and monster fish and chips for the win. If you’re in the neighborhood it’s worth a visit.
This place was a fantastic find! Very glad to have been brought here by my cousins. The food was fresh and delicious and we happened to come during happy hour, which was an extra treat. The prices are a tad bit high, though you’re paying for part of the experience of being near the beach - which was worth it. The area around the restaurant was adorable and just steps from the beach. There are a ton of shops and bars around so you can make a day of it and walk off the great food. I got the Mahi Reuben and am already trying to figure out when I can go back to try it again. The staff was helpful and honest about which items were their favorites and which we should try when we were stuck between the myriad of great choices.
I really liked the Miami vice drink and the burger was good as well I rarely like live music but the guy they had on 5/26/21 was ready good and I enjoyed him quite a lot they also have indoor and outdoor seating if you are at a here by hotel consider walking as this area has no free parking I liked this place so much I went back and loved to coconut shrimp and they have the best key lime pie I’ve ever had
Small little spot, chill spot-restaurant and full bar, inside dining. Great Menu, prices are high. Hit this spot during Happy Hour. Great waitress that we had. Great decor inside. Also FANS.... (the ones that spin) 😂 get your by cooled off while you’re walking around. Or you can chill outside at the bar or eat at high bar and eat while chillin’
Delish! What a lovely, light lively place! The service was terrific and the food was so tasty! I was there during happy hour and tried the Firecracker Shrimp and Margarita Flatbread and they were so good I finished them before I remembered to take a photo. I had the ribs for dinner and they were delicious! There was a wonderful Sax player there and I danced with another patron. What fun!
Highly recommend for families. Not only are they incredibly friendly but they are also reasonably priced. As vacationers, we appreciate not having to spend 100$ every morning for breakfast! Incredible food with good maple syrup (hello Canadian) and decent portions. Thank you to Tommy and Jayden!
Maravilloso y muy bonito el restaurante la comida muy deliciosa y bien elaborada la cerveza bien fría y los tragos bien preparados... 🥓🍖🍗🥗🍻🧋🍺💖💞
Fast service and friendly staff. Ate during happy hour. Beers were 2 for 6. Tried the spinach dip, chicken caesar salad and fish tacos. Food was good. Large portions and fair pricing. Nice outdoor seating.
The good thing about Mulligan's isn't the food (which is fine) or the ambience (also fine) but the great live music and stuff for kids. Very fun on a Saturday night. My daughters absolutely loved dancing to the music and getting toys from the treasure chest and vending machines. An entire restaurant meal with no tablet time. Amazing. 👍
The food was delicious 😋 right by the beach. Grabbed a quick bite to eat. The seating was confusing, didn't have anyone available to seat us. The drinks were great and inexpensive, had couple of rounds. Had Sunday night football that night. Overall I can't complain about the food. They seemed short staffed but that's understandable, had a great time regardless.
Let's start with the good things. The burger where Great! Both days we where there. The waiter on the first day was great, we had fun with him and he suggested us great things. Not so good was the second waiter. We where absolutely unable to understand him. We asked if he can speak a bit more clear but no way. We also waited for him a while. It's really sad.
I went to this place because I had a gift card from Christmas. Never heard of it until that day I got the gift card. The major plus is the location. I mean it’s very busy(in a good way), it’s beautiful there and lots of things to do once you are finished eating. The menu here has a lot of items however I ordered the conch fritters for appetizer, fried fish sliders with fries and my daughter had the slider burgers with fries. So the only reason I gave four stars instead of five because the server got my daughter drink wrong and still charged me the price for the drink as if I asked for that. She asked for a fruit punch drink and she gave my daughter some milk shake looking drink and said they got the drink wrong I’m sorry. Then my only gripe was that the special sauce on the fish was like nonexistent. I couldn’t taste it at all so I just used the dipping sauce from the conch as a sauce so it wouldn’t be so dry. Overall the fish was cooked great, the buns were awesome and fries are the best. (Love fries)
We got there for happy hour. We didn’t like the selection for the happy hour drinks so we just ordered regular priced ones - they were worth it. Super refreshing for a summer afternoon. We did get the happy hour bites, wings and cheese fries. The fries were fresh and the wings were crispy and saucy. Will definitely be coming back again and trying more of the happy hour items.
If you get a chance go during happy hour for the biggest bang for your buck. I wasn't too impresses with the mojito as it tasted too watered down. The shrimp cocktail was good and the shrimps were huge. Be mindful you are ordering per shrimp. The conch fritters were too tough but seasoned well.
It’s nice and close to the beach. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. The service was really good but food took a little time to get to the table (our order was delivered to another customer) and bill came out incorrect. The beer was warmer than it should be. The food was average and portion was good.
Hmmm, where do I begin?!! At the epicenter of Lauderdale by the Sea and Commercial boulevard, Mulligan’s is such a vibrant and lively place that stands on its own compared to the spots in the area. I love the shark theme of the place. The hostess and waitress were very pleasant and friendly. I’m not sure, if it was due to Spring Break or it being happy hour, but it took us a bit to get our drinks, appetizers, and food. They do have happy hour specials. The mixed drink, bomb 💣 and the well drinks, bomb! 💣 The music was lively, but a bit loud, but it was Spring break and happy hour. They do have live 🎶music 🎶 but not at the time I was there. They also have an events calendar as well. The food looked delicious, but here is where my issues lay. The portions were more than generous, did you see that fish sandwich, but the food just didn’t agree with my palate. It just wasn’t seasoned enough for my taste. Okay, okay I did love the French fries, now those were delicious. I think Mulligans will be a revisit for happy hour. I said their drinks were good 😂
We went on a Saturday night. It was busy but not crowded. We were seated quickly. Turns out our server was the gentleman who passed our table several times over a 10 minute period. After taking our order, the drinks arrived 10 minutes after that. The drinks were blah, to say the least. Another 20 minutes pass when the food arrives. I ordered a burger. I prefer my burgers cooked medium, but since I find them to generally be rare, I always order them well done. This burger was more red than the tomato that was on it. We really liked the fries. My wife enjoyed her soup. There's a photographer who comes around and takes your picture at the table to sell to you at the end of your meal. $15 for a picture.
Went to this place on Sunday first time going there this is how it went. We arrived with party of 8 and was seated promptly but the ac vent above the table was condensing and leaking water it took 20 min for someone to come with a improvised Cuban mop (anyone from south Florida knows what that is lol) to try and clean it after I had to remind them. The food was ok, one person in our party had clams and linguini that looked and tasted like alfredo soup. It was returned and get this they said because they ate all 5 clams they wouldn't comp it. Anyway, I'm giving 3 stars just because the waitress was so nice but it seems like this establishment gave up long time ago. For the price food should have been better but if you're looking for a bar right on the beach this will do.
I was pretty disappointed. I ordered Firecracker shrimp expecting it to be spicy and it wasnt spice at all. It was actually on the sweeter side. I also ordered BEER BATTERED onion rings but these are clearly breaded onions rings. My food wasnt hot, it wasnt even warm. It was a to go. She said about 10 mins. I waited almost half a hour so im guessing my food just sat in the window getting cold. I was sitting on the beach and got my order to go and wasnt gonna walk back to get it fixed. While it was a very short walk i just didnt wanna make again there is no way my food would have cooled that fast.
Sloooow service! The hostess must have had a bad day or it was the end of her shift because she looked like she was dragging her feet and did not want to be there. She did not bother to bring me the menu for 15 minutes. It took another 15 minutes before someone came to take my order and another 15 for it to come. Luckily the bar tender was on the ball and at least brought my coffee in a timely fashion and it was good and hot. The stuffed French toast was ok, even though I expected the stuffing to be Nutella and bananas from reading the reviews. Mine was cream cheese and orange zest which was tasty enough and the fruit was fresh. Overall not a bad place to hang out and people watch as they walk past.
La atención fue excelente, sin embargo la hamburguesa de mi amigo estaba desabrida. Mi plato y el de mi Amiga estaba bien. Esta cerca de la playa.
Called and made reservations. Got to restaurant and they had no reservation. That should have been our key to leave. Bloody Mary’s were good. Ordered a run runner (tasted awful) returned it. Ordered spinach dip as an appetizer, got it after we received our meal and it was only warm not hot. Asked for mayo and pickles with cheeseburger and was told it come on side, it didn’t. Had to wait another 10 minutes to get it. Fish was good. Crab cakes good but does not come with any kind of dipping sauce. Lobster bisque just average and not hot. Order 2 bottles of beer. Was brought 2 draft warm beers. I think server knew we were unhappy and kinda avoided us. The was band playing music. Music was entertaining but was so loud you couldn’t even talk at table.
Honestly you don't go here for the food you go to drink as much beer as possible so you don't taste the food. Everything was so greasy and I ordered items that weren't fried. Both our meals were under seasoned and just sad to look at. Our waitress was really great about it but I honestly didn't want anything else on the menu (all of it was deep fried). Its not like good deep fried either my partner's fish was soaked in grease. :(
Staying for vacation in walking distance from this restaurant so decided to give it a try bc others had a wait for service. We sat at the bar at 830 on a not-so-busy Tuesday night, the closing time listed online was 10 o’clock. You could tell right away the bartender was not thrilled to see us. As we were discussing what we wanted to drink, my boyfriend mentioned to me he might order the Rum Runner, then the bartender placed one in front of him a minute later without him actually ordering it - kind of weird. The most disappointing part was when we ordered nachos with chicken - it’s kind of ridiculous to upcharge $4.00 when you add about 2 cubes of chicken. Also, the cheese sauce that came with the nachos was extremely spicy & was not described as so on the menu - I barely ate anything bc I don’t like spicy food. Overall, did not feel welcomed by the staff and was not impressed with the food.
Stopped here on Friday night. They have a dj and dance floor. Lots of tourists. Young crowd gets rowdy. Wouldn't go with children at night or sit outside. Ok to hang out and have a beer. The fish fry was ok, but the nachos were grose. The drinks were ok, could barely taste the alcohol we returned drinks twice.
Stayed in walking distance from this place and decided to give them a try. We ordered the fried plate, and 3 kids meals. My husband and I had the fried plate...honestly no flavor at all. So we decided to try them again later during the week and order the Cajun shrimp pasta. It was good, had great flavor but was a little spicier than expected. We went there out last night and ordered 4 southwest bowls. 3 with beef and 1 with chicken (this is not steak it is ground beef which was disappointing) I ordered 2 with sour cream and avocado on side. 2 had the sour cream on side which is how I ordered it but none had avocado or even on the side. When I walked back here and asked why I was missing my avocados they claimed they must be in a different bag. Then came and explained they were out of ripe avocados. This is something that should have been said to me when I ordered or while they were being made. The waiter said they will credit me the next time, unfortunately I was only on vacation and I was leaving in the morning. Very disappointing.
I was really looking forward to this Tuna bowl and it would have been amazing if prepared correctly. The Avocado was hard the tuna was overcooked and the rice was hard. The flavor was amazing but these things really through that whole dish off. Upside is the kids meals are big enough to be adult meals.
We were very disappointed with the $12 blue cheese and avacodo a beacon burgers. Nice atmosphere and ok seafood. They were remade prepressed burgers with no flavor like from Gordon's. I truely can cook better burgers at home. We told our waitress and she said they are NOT known for the burgers. They are kinda known for the seafood. The calamari was chewy but the tuna appetizer was fantastic. I hope this helps.
If you want a fun atmosphere and a big drink this is the place to come. It is definitely a beach bar. Service is slow and borders on rude. Food is not good. Hubby had the burger. We asked her the server about it and she said it was the best burger on the beach. We asked her what came on it and she said "whatever you want, that's what makes it the best burger on the beach". I had fish and it was OK. We ordered dessert. Hubby said his chocolate dessert was good. I asked about the coconut cake and she said that she didn't know, she hated coconut. I love coconut but not this cake. It tasted like a frozen cake slice that had been in the freezer forever. I only ate a bite. Go here for the drinks but eat first.
Visited after a day on the beach, it's conveniently located in the heart of Lauderdale by the Sea. I ordered the Monster Fish and Chips and other members in my party ordered Fish Reuben and a Lobster Melt. Food was OK and service in our table was OK as well. However, we witnessed the mistreatment of two elderly men who were sitting besides us. They waited for more than 10 min to get menus, more than 15 min to get their drinks order taken and you could tell no one wanted to wait on their table, waitresses walked passed them several times even when they called for attention. It was very upsetting.
While my space still gets a four for my past experiences, today I must give them a 1, we showed up there today and was told there would be an half hour wait just to be seated, once I looked around I asked the hostess why when there are a bunch of empty tables, she said because there was only one cook,😳😳😠😠 really! We might have ordered drinks for thirty minutes, who knows, but to not even be seated was awful, I think she cost the restaurant a couple of customers today, I would never say that we have one cook, hopefully my next time there will be better but I was totally turned off today by that hostess!!
Ripp off, deceptive server and I feel bad for the tourist as this feels like a tourist drap. The newest scam are 3% credit card charges on top of the bill without notice even if you want to pay cash "because it has been always so". Lie because it was not that before as we lived here for over 26 years and had this charge on ourBill's. .Just because we have an accent doesnt mean we are tourists. No question ask if paying cash or credit card. Service is very, very, very slow. Food took forever even with only us ordering. Ordered Ruben and was ask french fries or onions without clarifiying that this was a upsell. After wrong charges on the ruben we was advised to a small writting in the middle somewhere on the menu under a different menu item of chips. The 3 % credit card charges we where pointed to the last page of the menu that we didnt looked at and only disclosed after complaint. Overcharged on the cappuccino's list price that was full of coffee grinds. French Fries fried in old oel, over salted to hide the fishy taste and ruben was missing the thousand Island that makes special. The meet was warmed up in the nesty oel and the bread was hard even when soggy. The coke was served out of a dirty machine that could be tasted in the coke. What for a shame for LbtS and what for a tourist drapp that leaves bad impression. People can have accents and live here so never judge the book by his cover.
For a busy night, they were able to get us seated in a timely manner. After that everything went downhill. The hostess did not ask if we wanted to be seated inside or outside....we were just seated outside on this cold, windy, and potentially rainy night. Our waitress came out in a timely manner and asked what we were having to drink. She brought our drinks out then walked away without asking if we were ready to order (which we were). We sat there for about 15 minutes waiting on the waitress to return. The table next to us hadn't even gotten their drinks and they were waiting just as long as us. I had to get the hostess and ask her about our waitress. She sent another waitress who was willing to help. I told the new waitress we needed to be seated inside bc my children were cold. They told us to move inside to one of the many empty tables (they didn't try to help grab anything even for the kids). Once inside it wasn't any better bc their was another table that hadn't even gotten drinks yet. We ordered our food. The kids had grilled cheese and I had the Maui. I WASN'T IMPRESSED AT ALL. It looked good but it was not. It had no flavor and the maui was chewy. The pineapple salsa should have been labled as pineapple pico. I ended up sending my food back & ordering the cajun shrimp pasta. I sat for over 30 minutes waiting for it. My children were getting impatient bc they were finished with their food. The only reason they were entertained so long is bc the music was good. I told the waitress I wanted to cancel the order completely. Instead of receiving my check she came out with the food. I was ready to go so I didnt even take it. Then I had to wait for the manager to correct my bill. Definitely wont be back
Listen - I've lived here for 13 years and never been to Mulligan's until this morning for breakfast. Big mistake. I should've just gone to my usual spot across the street, Village Grille. I was in an adventurous mood and decided to try Mulligans. Again, big mistake. The "worlds best" Bloody Mary's were anything but. Both my dad and I drank maybe 1/4th and that was choking it down. (Mulligans, if you read this, switch to Zing Zang so other patrons can at least enjoy their drinks - I know I won't be back.) The food was subpar and the portions for each of 5 dishes varied. Three were decent portions, including the home fries. The other two, dismal - with smaller portions of home fries, which I don't understand. If the breakfast burrito is going to be menial and looks NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO THE RESTAURANT POSTED, AT LEAST include a generous portion of home fries to make the plate look full and abundant. Good riddance. Never going back. My loyalty will always be with Village Grille now. Whoa whoa whoa! Reading other reviews and this CC (Credit Card) service charge, I realize WE got charged the same charge despite paying WITH CASH! It was over $4!!! Listen - "only $4"... but taking this CC SRV charge from everyone regardless of how they're paying is wrong and sneaky and messed up!
They told me that they were too busy to let me sit at a table to eat and that if I wanted food I would have to order it to go from the bar. I took pictures of the establishment for my review just to show exactly how busy they were (being sarcastic of course). All the tables were empty...!!! The Reuben sandwich I ordered could have been good but I wouldn't know because by the time I walked back to my hotel it was cold a soggy. Won't return there due to their rudeness...
No me gusto! La salsa de tomate que ponen tiene un sabor extraño, y las hamburguesas no son realmente buenas, pedi tambien salmon y el trozo era muy pequeño! Mala atención del mesero, se molesto porque traje mi agua y no pedi bebida!
