We came here based on a recommendation from our AirBnB landlord and we didnt regret it. The place is apparently famous for the seafood dishes and it was indeed very fresh and tasty. I tried a local specialty 'Cappun Magru' which I never had before and it was really good. The wine menu is impressive, featuring wines from all over the world at very reasonable prices. We ended up trying two local wines based on the recommendation of the owner. He was very helpful and talkative throughout the whole evening. I recommend trying this place when you are in the area.

The restaurant's manager is a highly knowledgeable and competent person, an excellent chef, and a great cheese expert, so much so that he hosts themed evenings every November. The dishes are very good, often unique and seasonally themed. The service is very efficient. The prices are in line with a restaurant of this caliber.

Excellent establishment serving local fish exquisitely prepared and well presented. Some dishes can only be found in this area. Seafood and fish are highly recommended, and the owner is also a wine expert and willing to share his knowledge for pairing.

Ristorante Melograno stands out for its simple yet refined atmosphere, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The service is excellent: we were welcomed and looked after by the owner, who recommended some of the house specialties and was very attentive to our two children, demonstrating great attention to the needs of his little guests. The wine cellar is well-stocked, with a selection to satisfy even the most discerning palates. As for the food, I tried the baby octopus on a bed of chickpea cream: the chickpeas were very good, and the chickpea cream was simply exquisite. I then ordered the typical Ligurian morone fish, also known as grilled amberjack, which proved to be amazing in terms of freshness and flavor. It was a real surprise: the staff is incredibly kind and the restaurant is quiet and pleasant. The surprise was the dishes, which exceeded expectations, and the professionalism of Maurizio, the manager. All but two dishes are available gluten-free. Maurizio has a wealth of knowledge about everything—fish, meat, and especially about wines, a wide variety that goes beyond the typical commercial labels. Maurizio knows how to give excellent recommendations. The Alpine refermented wine we drank, recommended by Maurizio, was excellent. And the highlight after the fish was a cheese plate. Maurizio has a wealth of knowledge about all cheeses and stocks around 100 types in the restaurant. Excellent value for money. I'd say RECOMMENDED 😉

Excellent seafood dinner. Average price, including one appetizer for two, a first course, a second course, and dessert for less than €50 per person (drinks and coffee not included). We ate very well, with carefully prepared and generous dishes. We'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is an exceptionally one. We enjoyed a nice evening and a fine meal. The different courses are diverse, have a high quality an most important are very tasty. Furthermore the staff and especially the owner are very hearty professionell and welcoming. Strong recommend to visit this place once you are around.

Invited to a dear friend's birthday dinner, I was able to taste the excellent dishes chosen from the menu, very good food quality, impeccable service, kind staff, nice and welcoming place, fair prices. Recommended to everyone, they also accept our four-legged friends! Better to book in advance!

Yes, this is the perfect mix of fine dining, careful waitering, nice environment and still very reasonable prices. The misto fritto (fried seafood platter) was really special (and still only €15). All of the food and the recommended wine was exceptional. Best restaurant this Ligurian holidays.

A bit more upmarket restaurant in Cavi Borgo, while not being particularly pretentious. It has a more varied menu, with several choices of fish (mare) and meat (terra), both for primo and secondo. We took fried porcini and a pancake with presto as antipasto, daughters had a green pasta with fish. I had the fritto misto as main, which was definitely a step up from the usual (while still only 15 euro). The garden was covid proof and lovely. Hopefully they keep it that way.

I would like to recommend this restaurant for its seafood. I ordered the plate of raw marinated seafood and was amazing, I didn’t like the other plate of appetizer, which was Special Lugarian seafood, first of all was not special, secondly was very small portion. The main course was Morone and I should say veryyy delicious, I didn’t gave good score to atmosphere because we were seating in the hal next to kitchen and all the time was the sound of washing the dishes, and for service, we finished the food amd they just brought us the ice pot for wine.

The food was Ok. The serving was ooooook, I mean first it was pretty long, second - it was not super nice, third - they had pretty big issue with English. I can’t say I’m thrilled, or have anything to advice. Except - take repellent with you, mosquitoes are really bad in there.

Quiet place, food...so-so. The seafood appetizer (several types of fish) all had the same vinegary flavor. The gurnard ravioli were raw and soaked in butter. The dessert was good. Even when we wanted to eat the main course, they took away the plates and cutlery. The owner was quite rude/non-existent.
