Trattoria Per Bacco Leggiuno Reviews
Sublimi!
Wonderful trattoria. Every time I go back, I feel like I'm at my grandmother's house in the '90s. Polenta, braised beef, gorgonzola, stew, good wine, and so on. True, authentic Lombard cuisine. The owners are also incredibly friendly, the service is fast, the quality, as mentioned, is exceptional, and the prices are absolutely right—in fact, they're even too low! I drive over an hour every time to come here, but it's absolutely worth it.
We stumbled upon this place by chance today. What can I say? The atmosphere is very quaint and peaceful. The welcome was fantastic, as were the dishes served. Excellent cuisine that makes you feel at home. We'll definitely be back.
Food was good . We liked the taste of the Cassoeula. Antic restaurant
While on vacation in the region, we happened to pass by this restaurant. A great discovery. A daily menu featuring homemade family cuisine, of very, very good quality and quantity. The owners and servers were super friendly, smiling, and adapted to the fact that we didn't speak Italian. A starter, main course, dessert, a beer, and a bottle of sparkling water with two coffees for €37 for two. We really had a great time at this restaurant.
Very good food. Wonderful service! Amazing dessert!!!
Fixed menu of the day very affordable. For only 10 euros you get an entrée, main dish, dessert and coffee. Very nice ambiance, friendly personnel and pet are allowed. Definitely worth a visit if you are near Lago Maggiore
Simple but delicious food, warm service, good price, very authentic rustic Italian trattoria.

Penne with speck and radicchio, stew, wine, and generous amounts of bread. Tourist menu for €12, which changes daily. Also included are mineral water and pear and chocolate cake (€5). Everything is delicious. On the side, polenta and braised meat (€16) are among the various options. On special occasions, polenta and donkey (€18). A welcoming alpine hideaway in the colder months, a pleasant veranda in the milder ones. Braised meats, tripe, and game (among other things) are excellently prepared. Another positive note: the sparkling restrooms. Recommended for those who don't put on too much airs, as well as those who are passionate about the enchanting places of Gigi Riva and Eugenio Cefis, great Italians.
Another couple of friends with children were in the area because of the Christmas lights, and the restaurant was recommended as a special deal, so after visiting, we called and they reserved a table for us, even kindly providing us with two high chairs. They were extremely accommodating, we were very happy, and we set off with the highest expectations. The place is very pleasant and not particularly noisy, which is another plus. The menu is fairly modest and reasonably priced: three different set menu options and a selection of various entrees. It was time to order—one of us, incidentally, is vegetarian. We ordered a couple of appetizers, which included cured meats, asking if it was possible to split the cured meats and cheeses between two different plates (we'd pay dearly for that). A long, really long wait ensued, with neither water nor bread (but the two euro cover charge per person is there and will be paid). When they arrived, there was literally nothing on the plates: it almost seemed like we'd ordered just one appetizer and split it between two plates. A misunderstanding may occur, so we move on. We find the Russian salad and the sweet and sour vegetables excellent: truly, very good. The main courses arrive, and here comes the sore point: they were truly meager and completely out of proportion with the cost. Specifically: two children eat a plate of tagliatelle with wild boar ragù (a portion suitable for a six-year-old) and a lasagna (a generous portion for a one-and-a-half-year-old who eats as much as an adult), but the adults each order polenta and something else, and there were actually a couple of ladles of polenta each and four pieces of meat. NCS. Let's move on to desserts: two were included in the menus we selected when ordering, and we add a third. Once again, those little terracotta bowls arrive, containing little substance but delicious. In the end, the bill is steep: 180 for four adults and two children (a third child didn't eat because he still drinks milk). They wanted to charge us for the two desserts included in the menu and no discount for the special offer, but we hadn't specified this, so maybe it's our fault. If the prices had already been reduced for the event, I don't know what to think. I'm giving it three stars because we certainly weren't the best customers (those who book ahead of time), and their courtesy and helpfulness were truly excellent, but the quality/price ratio would be no more than two stars. They deserve a second chance to do better.
We found this trattoria by chance, looking for a place to eat before visiting the Hermitage of Santa Caterina. We can say we had a great time. Good value for money. The restaurant is large and welcoming, and there's also an outdoor seating area, which we couldn't enjoy due to the season. The staff was friendly. The dishes on the menu were interesting, and the ones we chose were delicious.
A trattoria that, from the first moment, appears inconvenient in terms of parking and a mess upon first entering the dining room. There are no precautions or compliance with health and hygiene regulations given the pandemic situation we are experiencing. Upon entry, when asking if it was necessary to show the Green Pass, the waiter replied "It's okay," a casualness that is truly astonishing and disconcerting. The dining room was packed with people, there was not much social distancing, and some tables were even placed in front of the bathroom entrances. There were only two waiters in the dining room, which on a Sunday lunch with a busy restaurant is truly insufficient given the constant orders and the demand for assistance, certainly also in the kitchen. The menu was not very varied, but there were a few set menus offering a variety of appetizers, first courses, and second courses. One notable difference is that the two waiters were polar opposites: the female waitress was very intrusive and awkward, while the other male waiter was more assertive and, above all, well-coordinated. The rating reflects the culinary experience we had. The dishes arrived extremely late, and in fact we received an apology from the male waiter regarding the delay that actually occurred in the kitchen. The first courses weren't very flavorful; there was a substantial difference from what we had ordered. For example, the orecchiette with sausage, spinach, and spicy sauce turned out to be orecchiette with sausage in white sauce, with a light tomato sauce on top, and the spiciness was completely nonexistent. The radicchio lasagna was simply reheated in the microwave with an excessive amount of radicchio and gorgonzola. In conclusion, it was an experience I'm unlikely to repeat given what I experienced, and I'm quite surprised to have seen so many people in this place. A.
