Panera Bread Livermore Reviews
Carlos was as sweet and kind as could be. He slowed down, made eye contact and talked to my two babies, 2 and 4 years old, and truly helped our little family feel so special and seen. He shared cookies with the boys and they were thrilled! We ordered rapid pick up but stayed and ate it there and our food was hot and delicious and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Everyone else who worked there was also so friendly when we left as my 2 year old waved and said good bye to every person we passed. What a great first experience at this location. We will most definitely be back, thank you for making our day.
Tasty baked goods and wonderful coffee draw me to this popular restaurant chain. Join the Sip Club & receive "free" cold & hot beverages for a ridiculously low monthly fee. Free & plentiful parking. Kind & helpful staff.
I ordered them to go and they were great. Polite and expedient. Love their pastries and my salad was fresh and delicious.
We love our Panera soups and Sandwiches.
Food is very good, helpful employees, but make sure your order is correct before u leave. Mine has been shorted, or incorrect items several times. They always make it good tho. I like the patio dining area.
This review is for the curbside pickup feature. I was very impressed with the ease to order on the app and pull into a designated spot and an employee bringing the bag out very timely! This really supplements the fact that there is not a traditional drive-thru.
My mom loves coming here for the Chicken Noodle Soup and Roasted Avocado BLT. I love the BLT as well as their Caramel Latte. It's always so good! It's my mom's favorite place to go out and eat. Also, we love some of the workers, Rosy and Helena. They are super nice and are always smiling! :)
I've been getting acquainted with the Panera app, most recently ordering an on-the-go breakfast for pickup from this spot in Livermore. Everything was ready as promised, and the staff was helpful. The parking lot feels poorly-designed, which always kind of drives me crazy, but I can't fault Panera for that. 5 stars for making my morning easy.
Consistently good food and customer service. Always clean and fast polite service.
I stepped in for a drink and they had an issue with the terminal and Alex didn’t let wait and helped me with getting the drink without waiting . 5. Stars Alex
Our go to Panera in the long trip to Eureka.... always fast prep times, great places to sit and super clean restrooms. Just remodeled the dinning area, looks great!
This location is not as busy but steady and wheelchair accessible. Had the chicken chipotle meal and it was just the right amount and deliciously satisfying, the hibiscus drink was a reallllly watered down underwhelming flavour so I dumped it and got me a papaya passion iced tea drink.
Update: 02.05.24 Went to get bagels mid-afternoon. Ended up getting bagels & pastries. And two cups of coffee! 😄 Employee assisting me was very pleasant & polite. Went to wash my hands before ordering, surprised that no one was there. I saw several guests coming in for pick-up orders, bags were on the take-out shelf ready - very convenient. We like the light roast coffee the best, although several varieties available. This Panera has a relaxed, chill atmosphere. Update: 01.06.24 Stopped by for a quick lunch with friends. Ordered the Mediterranean bowl with extra produce. Cucumbers were so incredibly thinly sliced they were limp. We have noted that there's a lot less food in each serving since inflation has hit hard & prices have gone up. These cucumbers looked like they were freezer burned, kept unrefrigerated, or so old they were rotting though, not just much more thinly sliced. None of those scenarios are appetizing, nor potentially safe. I'd wanted extra cucs, but had to throw away most of what I got. See photos. Update: 11.6.23 Had late lunch yesterday, ordered the usual & was disappointed in the Mediterranean Bowl as it had only the slightest sprinkle of quinoa rather than the scoop I'm used to having. Had no dressing on it, though I ordered lemon vinaigrette. Baguette was too hard to tear off a piece, felt like it would've kept my big dog busy chewing for a while! Saw the new signs by the beverages, essentially warning people to be careful with the high caffeine, "charged' lemonades. They are now behind the counter probably to prevent kids from getting hold of them. Our family talked about this about a month ago when we saw kids refilling these high caffeine drinks repeatedly. Certainly Panera is now aware of the allegations that these charged lemonades resulted in the death of a young woman who had a pre-existing heart condition. Maybe Panera does not want to discontinue it because it's probably a good seller since some people love to be wired, and pulling the drinks after this allegation would probably be construed as an acknowledgment that these lemonades are not healthy and could potentially cause illness or death. "Better safe than sorry" in this situation, and we hope that Panera pulls these beverages for good and in their place substitutes several decaffeinated drinks that pose little threat. There will always be someone saying, "Look at all the sugar in that - so dangerous for diabetics!" but there's plenty of sugar at Panera over by the sweets counter, and certainly at nearly every restaurant as well. Restaurants shouldn't have to police their guests, nor should they knowingly serve anything that could cause harm, so we'd support a decision to lose these "charged" drinks now, to preclude Panera being potentially 'charged' with knowingly continuing to serve anything to guests that could endanger their health. That just seems like common sense to us. We enjoy our local Panera most of the time, and hope that this matter is resolved soon. We feel badly for the family of the woman who died - what a tragedy. Really excellent experience at this location today, with slight exception that salad was made with the wrong dressing. That was corrected quickly when we mentioned it to an employee. Portion size was generous, veggies were fresh, salad dressings always awesome. Indoor & outdoor seating available. Takes were very clean, chairs, too. Several people sipping drinks while using WiFi. There's a dedicated meeting room in the back for a small group to convene , which is nice. We felt that having 3 high caffeine content lemonades took away from the healthy aspect of choosing fresh lemonade...saw kids getting these high caffeine drinks, hate to think of how their (& their family's) evening is going to go now! For folks who live on monster drinks & caffeinated coffee, we get it, but 1-2 is sufficient and we'd have appreciated more decaf options, especially since we were there later in the day. Overall, food was delicious & ready very quickly, atmosphere was very comfortable, employees polite and helpful.
Love coming to this Panera. We've always gotten great service here. I ordered the pick 2 with Thai Salad and Chipotle Chicken sandwich. This place also has many outlets so it's a good stop to do work/study while you eat. In the back there's also a conference room. My father loves to order soup from here because it's always hot. Good atmosphere.
Panera like Panera is. It is possible to order your menu by 3 tablets with table service. If the restaurant is almost full, they are very fast. 3 times inside and had no issues or problems. Outside are some seatings as well. Very friendly staff, see us next time.

I made a mistake and ordered the wrong sandwich. Alex was awesome and made me the correct sandwich and it was wonderful! Alex is very professional in dealing with customers. Fantastic customer service! I will for sure come back. Also, the gal that took my order was very kind also. I didn’t get her name but she has blonde hair and great customer service also.
this is my go to place. theres always plenty of seats available. good place to meet someone
The mac n cheese with bacon was delicious!! Alex waited on me. It was a great experience! The French bread n butter the best!!
This is the best Panera location in bay area. Great customer service and always fresh yummy food.
The staff was awesome - we had a group of 14, with 4 kids, and they got all the orders exactly right and offered us the conference room, which was great for us and no doubt great for the other diners. The DoorDash app didn’t work, saying the restaurant was closed (not Panera’s fault), so they took the order over the phone; no doubt a pain at lunch hour, but they had a great attitude about it. Food was reliably good.
Panera Bread consistently offers excellent service, from the moment you walk in to when you leave. The staff is always friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth. I love their Broccoli Cheddar Soup in a bread bowl—it's hearty, flavorful, and comforting. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed meal, with a modern and clean design that’s both cozy and inviting. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal with friends, the atmosphere and food always make for a pleasant experience.
I've been a daily customer for nearly a year. Staff is welcoming and friendly, while preparing orders quickly. Restaurant is clean inside with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Today, there were at least 10 orders in the queue and 6-7 others in line placing orders. The staff, especially Isiah, we're committed to making a great experience for everyone! Over the past year, each experience has been very similar.

I luv their chicken/wild rice soup. Rich and hearty! I had the pick 2 with soup and 1/2 tuna sandwich. Each time I asked for mayo on top and bottom halves...no go both times! I order online for pickup. This last time I ordered a pep/lite sausage flatbread pizza with extra cheese....no go! Why offer special instructions requests if you don't do what I'm asking for. If not for the soup and on time pickup times, they would get 2 stars.
Panera's food is okay - it's nothing to swoon over or go out of my way for. For a chain, the quality is not as good as the defunct Specialty's, but on par with Corner Bakery. The wares are priced appropriately. This is fine though because it meets my general expectations for retail chain restaurants - consistent, average food, served fast, and moderately priced. I'm part of the "Unlimited Sip Club" - so my standard routine is to order a refill online, walk in, top off, leave, and say nothing. Strictly transactional. Because of how I use Panera, I probably wouldn't have even posted anything; but in light of my recent, spectacularly awful experience with a surly barista at the Starbucks on North Livermore and Portola, I felt I should write something. I walk in this morning for my refill, and the dark coffee dispenser was being refilled. So I try the Hazelnut instead, but it was on its last dregs. The Panera employee who was working the floor saw that and asked if it was out; I said yes, and he was very apologetic about it and said he'd have it refilled shortly. As I was waiting for the carafe to be refilled, he came back out and asked for my travel mug to top it off directly at the brewing station. I was just super pleased by this. I wasn't being intrusive - I was just staring at my phone and waiting for my drink - but the Panera employee saw that and just wanted to rectify the situation. Here's someone who cared about the quality of his work and was just providing fantastic customer service.
I ordered the half ham sandwich and the Fuji Apple salad. The salad was great but they didn’t put a fork in the bag, of course I didn’t realize that until I was far down the road. I always tip even though I’m just picking up a bag lunch, I always think I will get better service when I tip, maybe it’s time to rethink that.
I really enjoy going to Panera bread. Their soups and salads are fantastic. I can never get enough of the French baguettes. And their pastries are amazing. Good coffee and bagels as well. Their sandwiches are really good but a little too fufu for my taste. But that's not to say that they're not good, I just prefer a more traditional sandwich. This time I tried the sausage and pepperoni flatbread pizza and it was pretty good! I also tried the agave lemonade for the first time, but was not really a fan of that. It had a funny taste to it, I would have definitely preferred just a regular lemonade. I was honestly a little surprised I didn't like it, because I love lemonade and have it several times a week and I use agave syrup in my coffee every morning. I love going there for breakfast and lunch but have often been frustrated going there for dinner as they tend to run out of a lot of menu items each day. I can understand running out of things once in awhile when it's really heavy rush, but it happens way too much and speaks to poor planning. I get that they cook fresh which is great and that they do not want to over buy, but running out of broccoli cheddar soup, among several other items, so often is a little frustrating. I should mention that critique is not exclusive for this location but several others that I have frequented. But overall I've always enjoyed coming to Panera and will continue to go.
Order at the kiosk and pick up at the back counter. Not much human interaction but the food was good
It's really good! The sandwiches are really loaded, so it's worth the price. And the sandal cookies for summer are delicious

I go to this panera almost everyday. I've had the drink subscription for over a year. Most of the employees are really nice but I've been asked 2 times if I have the coffee subscription and both times the vibe of questioning was as if I was stealing. Both times it was from management. That is not OK when all the other employees know me and see me everyday go and check in at the self kiosk. This time I was at the kiosk and the lady saw me order and still questioned. It is not pleasing to feel like your being accused of stealing. As I said all the other employees are great! The coffee isn't always hot and there's grinds in it sometimes but none the less still OK most the time. The food I have tasted has been good.
I appreciate what they're trying to do with healthier food that doesn't feature a piece of meat as the center of every dish. I wish the food was more consistent, with some soups, like the french onion, being very well done, but others being excessively sweet and/or creamy. The baguette is solid, in the American style, other baked goods vary. Staff are helpful and friendly, orders usually come correctly. A good place for takeout in a hurry, you can order online and just pick it up off the shelf.
Not enough dressing, very dry strawberry poppyseed salad compared to the Dublin an mountain house Panera. My wife did not like the Turkey sandwich compared to the other locations as well. Very busy location and very polite and helpful servers. Accurate with orders.
My wife loves this place and I admit that the food is tasty and good but I get a little irritated at the prices. Two people eating soup and a half sandwich and sharing a soda for 24 bucks seems a bit steep in my opinion. So if I have any complaint its not the quality but the value for the quantity. If you are a hungry male adult you're better off eating at Chipotle next door. Panera seems better suited to the feminine palate and that's pretty much mainly what you see inside the restaurant. That and a lot of elderly folks who just want a small bite to eat.
Their Breakfast sandwiches are really good. The reason for only 3 stars is because the eggs are supposed to be over easy, but the yolk is almost always cooked. On a positive note, I request no salt or pepper and request my sandwich on the Brioche and I always get it that way.
I ordered a Scrambled egg sausage sandwich with no scrambled egg, I got it with an egg and NO sausage

Panera is my go to for on the go meals. This place I got food from on a Saturday Evening. It was fresh and the tomato soup can always be trusted to bring comfort on a rainy day. I got a half and half and the sandwich that came with it was a little let down. It was a bit smaller than I expected. Overall, good for convenient food maybe not the goto for a larger portion day

I know panera has many fans, but I am not one of them. I have celiac disease and have been here twice. Both times I have left without ordering. Went in here Friday the 24th of July for the last time. Asked the girl at the counter what do you have that is gluten free? She responds, .."not much. Salad, ummm, yea, salad, did you want that?" Ummm no. I don't. I was hoping that they had more to offer but apparently they still don't. My friends and I left and went somewhere- where they could offer more than salad which I eat daily anyway. Come on Panera, you can do better than salad! Score 2! 🤐
I've honestly not been disappointed by a Panera before. The staff here, aside from the bakery, we're rude and cold. The food came out wrong, which doesn't make sense because I used the self-order tablets they have setup so they wouldn't get the order wrong in the kitchen in the first place. After kindly telling them my order was wrong, they just kinda took the food back and didn't say anything at all. After I was given my food, the guy who brought it to the table borderline slammed it down and the soup went all over the plate it was on and then he just walked away. Then on top of that they forgot my bread. At that point it wasn't worth it to me.
So overpriced. Sure, they have yummy stuff. Bread is fresh. Soup is ok but salty. Cookies are good. It's just ridiculous that it was $26 for a cup of soup, kids mac and a smoothie. Not worth it to me.
I’ve literally been trying to order one of their egg white breakfast sandwiches every weekend for a month and they are always out of ingredients! Who does the inventory? Obviously you need to order more if it’s always running out.
Im so sick of not getting enough dressing for a salad dressing!! It's ridiculous! The avocados taste terrible every time I eat here. I'm over it!!!!

Repeatedly this location has messed up my pick up order. I avoided writing review but today I ordered for 2 orders - soup and Sandwich and asked them to include chips on side. The receipt of my pick up order mentioned chips. I recalibrated with the staff they added chips. But when I came home i realized they provided Baguette. This is very unprofessional.
They don’t have change for 50 dollar or 100 it’s crazy
I placed a catering order well in advance of the scheduled pick-up time. Upon arrival, I gave my name and was told someone would be right with me. Someone came right up and asked for the name again. I was told they would look for the order. About five minutes passed, and I could tell they were frantically looking all over the place. Finally, someone came and grabbed me and wanted my name again. I followed them to their computer as to not have to go through more wasted time. At first, the lady helping said there was no order. I pulled the confirmation up on my phone and showed her. She looked some more in her system and found it. After some discussion with her coworkers, she realized they missed the order. This was a $500 catering order. It should have not have been missed. A Gentleman came up to me at this point and admitted to missing the order. He said they would make it and deliver it, but it would be an hour. I had scheduled pick-up for 11:30 am to arrive to my clients office at noon. The miss on their part was an embarrassment for me, but I agreed to their solution. There was no where else for me to go at this point. He also said I would receive a discount on the order which was never fulfilled. In the last three months, I've spent $5,000 at Panera on Catering. In writing to their customer service, I was offered two $10 certificates for the inconvenience. I now do all my ordering from Corner Bakery.
If I can give this place no stars I would. Horrible customer service. I ordered a “bacon chicken sandwich” with NO bacon..and clearly stated that...when I received my order there was bacon in it...politely asked for another...but within 5 seconds he returns it without the bacon...I said did u just remove it from this sandwich and he said yes! I said why would I do that!!? I want a NEW one...and it was like a sigh from him asking too much. I was so disgusted by the customer service and didn’t even get no apology from them. Didn’t even have an appetite anymore. Be careful with your food people !! Those employees just don’t care!!!!
Invariably this location gets my order wrong. Usually, it's my milk allergy & lactose intolerance they ignore. But in my most recent experience, they neglected to include one of the baked goods I ordered. It's so disheartening and it happens so often, that I'm more surprised when they get the order right. I will probably not go back.
Ordered soup and sandwich. after sometime they informed the soup that I asked is out and refunded back for the soup. After waiting for a while got the sandwich, took it to the car and saw they didn’t add avocado in avocado\chipotl sandwich☹️ (they are out of avocado too) and didn’t bother to inform Until when I went back to ask for it and the ans is they can refund. Hope #Panera can refund my time back. no respect for customer time.
I came in for dinner for myself and my husband. They were out of bread bowls, bagettes... how do u run out of both. I will tell you how bad management. Then I ordered my sandwich with no red peppers and no Chipotle and they put it in the system no Chipotle aioli and no white cheese... that was the worst sandwich I ever had. Soooooo dry!!!
My first time at Panera and I did a pickup order on my lunch break. My BLT had literally 1/2 a slice of thin cut bacon. I didn’t expect a mountain but half a slice? I don’t think I’ll be returning.
