Viet Noms Livermore Reviews
We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and we always get excellent service and the food is always hot and delicious. My favorite is always the Shaking Beef!
We ordered takeout and it was all delicious! Appreciate that they have lots of vegan/vegetarian choices.
Pho bo is good highly recommended, and Vietnamese coffee also very good as well. Overall experience is excellent.
This is my "Go-To" for Vietnamese comfort food. I find it consistently satisfies my availability to this cuisine.
I had a pick up order .. As soon as I entered I was warmly greeted by a lovely young girl who had my food packed and ready … customer service was honestly the best ! Keep up the great work !
Shaking beef tenderloin - beef is tender and full of flavor. The rice is made with a tasty sauce. The peppers are still crunchy and not over-cooked.
Super nice and quick. Talla is amazing. She works really fast and was impressed on how she manages such a busy restaurant. Kept her cool even when customers were coming left and right.
Love this place! Me and my girlfriend came a couple of months ago for the first time and haven’t stopped going since. I always get the beef pho which is bomb and my girl gets the chicken one. Also the chicken rolls are a most try. The service is superb as well
Awesome food. Tasty peanut sauce and asian coffee. Every visit has been worth it. Tasty chicken peanut sauce, great Vietnamese coffee, beef stew is tasty and soft to chew.
Great place in a strip mall for Vietnamese food. Bun bo hue and spicy eggplant were pretty great, the former had a bit of crab flavor going on. Added some hot sake and jasmine tea to the meal which made it perfect. Easy parking in the lot and friendly attentive staff.
Best Vietnamese food in the Tri Valley. They don't have any of the delicious authentic goodies like congealed pork blood, but unfortunately this area's market wouldn't support it. Fairly small, simple average-American-palate-friendly menu. Everything on the menu is done well though. Family owned and operated. A got to regular for me and my family!
Best pho! No after taste after realizing there’s no MSG in their food. The Banh Knot was also very crispy served with fresh veggies. Also tried this unusual refreshing drink that has grass jelly. Will definitely visit again.
Stellar Vietnamese restaurant with an extensive menu including fruit smoothies. Food was very tasty. Vietnamese coffee was delicious. Shaken beef was really good. Fried tofu and garlic green beans were great. Love the oldies music (60s and 70s) they play.
I ordered the pork vermicelli, bun rieu, and spring rolls. The vermicelli came with a generous amount of pork and great flavor. Spring rolls were decent. But the star was the bun rieu, super fresh ingredients and really balanced, rich flavor. Easily the best bun rieu I’ve had in the area. The service was also quick and great. Quick to fill waters and offered napkins.
Had an excellent overall experience! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I visited this restaurant with my office colleagues, and everyone enjoyed the visit. They offer a good variety of vegetarian options, clearly marked on the menu. Highly recommend this place!
Just had a great meal at Viet Noms in Livermore, and it’s definitely one of the better Vietnamese spots in the Tri-Valley. The space is clean, modern, and inviting — it feels more polished than your typical pho joint but still keeps the homey vibe. Their pho is a clear highlight: the broth is rich and aromatic, with just the right balance of spices and sweetness. Portions are huge — easily one of the more generous bowls I’ve had around here. Noodles have good bite, and the meat is tender and flavorful. Great for a chilly day or when you’re just craving comfort food done right. The bún bò Huế (BBH) really surprised me — it’s one of the most potent, deeply flavored versions I’ve had outside of San Jose. The broth hits with that spicy, lemongrass-heavy kick you want in BBH. I do wish the meat cuts were a bit chunkier and that they included pork blood cubes for full authenticity, but even without that, it’s still a satisfying bowl. The salad was fresh but a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal — maybe better as a light starter. What really rounds out the experience is the service. Staff here are super friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive. They make you feel welcome without hovering, which is the sweet spot for casual dining. Overall, Viet Noms delivers quality Vietnamese food in a setting that’s both relaxed and polished. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Livermore or passing through. Try the pho, go for the BBH if you like spice, and enjoy the vibe.
Did a take out. Online ordering was easy and very intuitive. Pick up was also very easy. The food was great! Loved the freshness and great multilayered taste of each dish. Will definitely recommend!
We shared the combo rice plate and an order of banh khot. The foods tasted delicious and the service was attentive. The portions were large and were on the pricier side.
The food is delicious and lots of vegan options. Highly recommend.
Review is for food & service only not for the interior which is ok not upscale though. All the appetizers- Papaya Salad, imperial Roll, Salad Roll with Shrimp & Pork sandwiches ( take away jalapeños) were delicious. Tomato Soup with crab, Chicken pho was equally tasty. Excellent food overall that includes copious amount of mung sprouts & fresh herbs.
Found this gem on the way to Yosemite. The Pho was delicious. The noodle is that the same kind as you would get in Vietnam but it was fine. Broth was tasty and the beef super tender. Iced coffee was good and not super sweet :) The mini kettle cakes were a fun surprise, chewy and tasty with the classic fish sauce.
Great find in Livermore with delicious fresh Vermicelli bowls. The coconut tapioca pudding dessert with sesame seed, mango, and mint was also delicious.
Viet Noms is a wonderful Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant hidden inside Livermore around a small plaza. I was craving Vietnamese food with my friends and we came across this restaurant on Yelp. Parking was free and super easy since it is located in a plaza. Once we walked in, the restaurant is really spacious and has lots of booths for 4+ people and tables for larger size parties! The waiter asks first what you would like to drink. Unfortunately hot tea has a extra cost, wish it was free. I ordered a Rice Vermicelli Bowl as it comes cold and is my favorite dish because of the nuoc mam fish sauce that goes so well with the noodles and chicken meat and vegetables. My friend ordered a pho with beef and the soup was delicious. Love this restaurant and it hit the spot for Vietnamese food cravings. Will definitely come back to support this family business!

First time ordering online, setting my pickup time. I arrived shortly after the designated time, and my food was waiting for me. Got it home and it was still warm and was absolutely delicious. Hearty portions, very flavorful.
I love ordering their food. Generally pretty good, especially anything with grilled pork or shrimp. Service is also not bad - some times are average and others are really great. Place can use a bit lighter colors - now it's kinda dark and looking old.

My family really enjoyed there chicken pho, I tried some of it and was delicious, friendly service and clean place. However, I had the nom nom beef pho with tripe and tendon which I have had in other places before.. Tripe tasted kinda sour so I took it out and enjoyed the rest of the soup. I honestly should of just ordered something different but we were in a rush to get home.. 1hr later I was vomiting and the worst case of diarrhea. It's been 5 days and a trip to the ER for positive food poisoning. I recommend cleaning the tripe thoroughly.. But the rest of the food was good.
Had a wonderful mixed seafood and sausage pho with aromatics and noodles. The service was prompt and the staff friendly. Perfect late lunch on a chilly day.
Got stuck in traffic and swing by this place by Yelp. Food tasted OK. Atmosphere kinda dark inside, there was no one when we got there. Service was great. We had bún bò Huế, which was ok 7 out of 10 to me.
We ordered the combination beef pho and the pork chop rice plate for take out. The pho was rich in flavor, and all the meats were delicious. However, the pork chops were overcooked and tough. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Good desert too. 2025. Food is a bit below my expectations.

Nice clean place. Banh Khot - good but the batter is literally Banh Xeo batter, imo. Thit Nuong cuon - ok. No mints/herbs whatsoever. V food is all about the mints/herbs. Com suong nuong - ok. Steamed egg loaf is on the dry side.
Neat setup in a quiet strip mall near residential. Decent flavor but nothing extraordinary to offset the pricier menu. Service is very good tho compared to other Asian restaurants. Overall a convenient neighborhood pho if you live nearby.

Food was good. Service was good until my partner and I found an eyelash in both our pho and bun Bo hue. We showed it to the waitress on a napkin. She took it to show another waitress (maybe owner) and that was it. No one came back or said anything about it after that. No acknowledgement of it or an apology. Disappointing.
Their reviews and ratings are misleading. It's highly rated but most are 2 to 3 years plus. Maybe change i of chef or owner? We ordered the kid beef pho and it had just noodle and no beef. It's basically just beef flavored. Misleading. Waiter should have told us. The waitresses seem to be new hires. The indian lady took forever to get our order and when the other asian girl came, the indian lady came back and ask to take our order. No coordination. The indian girl was friendly but not the asian girl that took our order. They should be clear on this on the menu. The Bun bo HUE taste too sweet and tomoto flavored, and the ingredients do not taste fresh.. More frozen and reheated. The beef salad was horrible. It had old peanut and dated fried onion taste. Like the stuff been setting around for a long time and have a bad after taste. It was a one and done for us. I don't know how it's rated so high from other reviewers. Over all i left a 15% tip to be nice but honestly I wasn't happy with my service and food. I'm vietnamese and I'm not asking it to be authentic like the ones we have in San Jose but we expect the food not to be using old ingredients and at least be a bit better and decent. This was just horrible.
Pho was very bland no flavor. Sorry for the poor review but it had zero taste.
I don’t leave comments often but this place is very overrated. I feel this place is taking shortcuts and taking advantage of people that don’t know good Vietnamese food. I’ve tried their pho one time and a banh mi the second time and they were both incredibly bland to the point I wonder if they used any spices. And I had to wait a half hour for a sandwich that didn’t taste like anything. Saigon Cafe’s pho knocks this one out of the park. 2 chances Viet Noms is enough.total ripoff for what I paid.
Honestly the Pho was a 0/0 the pho had no taste no flavor we asked for chili oil and got a tomato paste the broth taste like it came out a can we only took two bites and we told the lady it wasn’t good they made us plaid full price the lady cooking is a hispanic lady. The server then proceeded to tell us we clearly never had pho, mind you we eat pho all the time so we know what good pho taste like 10/10 don’t recommend they have 4 stars only due to the fact that the place is nice and the staff is nice but after reading the reviews all people say is the food is okay
