I ordered a combo plate with one each chicken and cheese enchiladas, topped with red sauce and lettuce, with rice, refried beans and a drink. Delish! Flavors were spot on and the portions were generous for the price. The friendly service topped it off! I stop for gas there periodically and will definitely work this place into the trip!

Great customer service. The dining area is very clean. There is a self serve chips and salsa bar. I have been here over 5 times and I have not had a bad menu item. My favorite is the crispy tacos and the asada fries. The burritos are very good too.

The quesabirria was BOMB!! The beans were a little under seasoned, but the rice definitely balanced them out! Hit the spot for a quick eat out pit stop on our mini road trip! Recommend!!

Came here for the first time and definitely would come back when I’m around the area! I ordered the Super Burrito with carne asada and it was really good! Really authentic Mexican and very fresh. I also ordered the chips and guacamole and the only complain with that is that the chips got soggy, would have preferred they put the chips in a brown bag and the guacamole in a cup like most Mexican restaurants. But other than that it was really good ! Btw I’m a truck driver and I parked at the loves and walked over here lol I wouldn’t recommend it but you can always order door dash and have it delivered.

This is a must stop. The quesabirria is delicious...you will definitely need a couple napkins. The horchata smooth and worth getting two just for yourself. The salsa is on point. The staff is happy and very polite. I will be coming back everytime I'm in town

I walked over from the truckstop hoping the lobby would be open and it was. Ordered a super burrito with carne asada and it was excellent. Very large and perfect for my appetite. A previous reviewer commented on the asada being like ground beef and yes it was finely chopped but it was clearly asada beef and i enjoyed it that way. I’d def return when I’m in the area

Very clean place with great flavorful food. I got fast service and both people where very friendly. My new lunch spot. It says cash only but I used my cards here so maybe that was just in the beginning.

Without a doubt these guys were a pleasant and unexpected find. This place is right off the freeway and borders the shell station. Parking is good and they do have a drive thru also. Easy to park with a nice big parking lot and oversized stalls. The bathrooms were not only clean, they were spotless and smelled of chemicals. Food was great. I got Queso Birria taco plate which I couldn’t locate due to all the choices. The cashier was friendly and immediately helped me with putting my order in. Tables were clean, crows was older with children and one was a friendly Navy Veteran. I eat Mexican all over the country and this is definitely 4.5 stars for food and .5 makes it a 5 in my book. The only reason that I gave a lower rating for the food is because the Birria had a chunk of fat that in my opinion was easy to identify and should be pulled off. Other than that, the rice and beans were authentic and yummy.

Just stopped in for a quick bite but was pleasantly surprised. Used to live in SoCal so my standards for Mexican food are pretty high. Only got the beef rolled tacos and the street tacos, but they were delicious. It’s hard to mess up rolled tacos, so that was easy. They were good though, plenty of sour cream. The street tacos, one beef one pollo, very good. Maybe slightly overcooked, if as anything could have been a little juicier but that’s picking at straws. Plenty of onions and cilantro, perfect fit for what I wanted. Definitely will come back and see how they do on a California Burrito

First time here. I'm from Omaha Nebraska. Quality burrito. Great size and ingredients. The steak is great. Love it's flavor. Awesome front counter guy. Enjoyed his company and suggestion about what I should get. Clean lobby. Will recommend and will be back next time I am in town. Thank you!

Delicious and Massive. I ordered a burrito, and out the window, they passed me something the size of a small baby. Not only was the burrito big enough to feed a small family, but it was constructed with the highest quality.

I just came here for the first time, but I'll surely be returning when I'm around! The Super Burrito with carne asada that I got was excellent! Fresh and really true to Mexican culture. The only issue I have with the chips and guacamole that I had is that they became mushy. I would have loved it if they had served the guacamole in a cup and the chips in a brown bag like other Mexican restaurants do. But aside from that, it was excellent! However, you can always get door dash online and have it delivered. I'm a truck driver, so I parked at the Loves and walked here.

Let me start off saying that the Atmosphere was ok. But I was the only customer in there at 830am. The service was excellent and friendly. The food is good. I got the #20 it was good. The burrito was big and stuffed it filled me right up. The food is not disappointing. Will be back again. I give this place 9 thumbs up out of 10

Grateful this place is near the truck stops. It's always good to be able to get a real meal, and not the standard fast food places truck drivers see all the time. The food was as others have stated, fast, hot, and fresh. Great service. There is literally a bell right up front you can ring if the employees aren't up front when you enter. I say that to refute the 1 star review of another driver who said the place doesn't like truck drivers. I think his name was Karen or something.

The bacon, egg, potato and cheese breakfast burrito was amazing! The salsa on the side was super flavorful with the right amount of kick. Huge portions. Was able to do half for breakfast and half for lunch. Best breakfast burrito I’ve had in Lodi so far.

Every week without fail I order 3 Super Burritos grilled chicken w/out Guacamole. I cut them in half and eat half a burrito for breakfast on my way to work. Never had any issues with quality. Burritos have lots of flavor and I highly recommend grilled chicken for the flavor.

I had a crispy chicken taco. I would have added cilantro, onions, and taken off 1/2 lettuce but it was great. Salsa just spicy enough. My husband and sons had burritos, they are huge!! Next time we know what to order. Really good food!

The tacos were good but I also got the nacho's and they had a weird smell to them as soon as I opened the box. I just threw them away as I was not sure why they smelled.

Breakfast burritos and regular tacos are great. However, I've tried a few other items like the crispy taco, menudo and enchiladas and not very good. But if you want good breakfast burritos and tacos I highly recommend!

The tacos that I got there that day were super delicious and I like both the green and red hot sauce . I can't tell you which one was hot or even if they were, I don't remember . I also got a cheese quesadilla there and that was also good.

I park all the time at the loves and Pilot across the way from this place, finally got to try it, when I decided to park over at the chevron and was able to walk to it a lot more easily than from the other side. Food is really good, staff is pretty friendly, those caramel churros though 🤤🤤 so good. I’ve been back twice now, and have not been disappointed 😁 the size of the burrito is perfect for what you pay and it’s delicious (perfect amount of everything, especially sour cream )

The prices are way to high an I ordered twice I had a wet burrito which did not look like the picture an crispy shrimp tacos which also did not look like the picture it had sour cream all over an the picture did not have sour cream on the tacos an the burrito had no cheese on top

What the deal with the “online order fee”? It not the 3 dollars that bug me. What is it about ordering online that makes the business to more work? Or is it taking advantage of the customer. Anyway didn’t order from them because I saw the fee. So if I had ordered online and had it delivered it would been two fees?

I ordered a #6 combo and was given a #5. The #6 comes with a burrito and enchilada. The #5 a taco and enchilada. I wanted carne de molida (ground beef) when I ordered but didn't specify it and I got stewed, shredded beef instead when the plate was served. I didn't care for it because the flavor is so subtle. The biggest surprise is no matter which plate you order, the enchilada is a cheese enchilada. No ordering a #5 or #6 thinking your enchilada will be filled with the same meat as the other item. I complained and the CSR offered to 'fix it' by giving me a beef burrito but I declined. I didn't know if she meant I could get a burrito filled with ground beef or if it would have shredded beef like the taco. I wasn't interested in another item with shredded beef so I declined. Communication isn't easy sometimes.

This is no longer Tortilla Flats but is now California Burrito, a totally different place. I had the shrimp burrito which was pretty mediocre and a bit frustrating to order as I didn't want most of the stuff they put on it, just cheese, rice and shrimp. This is one of those places where what you order really needs to match the way it is on their menu board because it requires an extensive amount of keyboard work at the register just to get what you want. Please don't complicate burritos, there's enough complexity in the world without bringing it down to the burrito level 😆

After Sundays experience with West Sac location...decided to try again. I ordered 1 shredded chicken, 1 shredded beef. I got a ground beef instead. NEXT TIME....CHECKING MY FOOD!

But when your drive through girl didn't hear right and then I ask for the correct drink and you not only rudely snatch the cup back but even give if it back so damn rude wow. This is why small mom and pop restaurants don't last. Shame on you girl, go back to work on your customer service. And you guys had zero customers.

Tacos were not bad at all. Corn Tortillas were alright. their rice was so bad. Burnt. No flavor. They load up the tacos with unnecessary amount of pico de gallo and aguacate. They also took for ever to attend me while they gossiped in the kitchen

Food is totally Bland! No flavour, salt untill u add salsa which they give u very little. If u havent tried really Hispanic food u wont know how tasteless they make food at this establishment. They charge you ATM fee of $0.47 if u use ur card debit or credit and wont tell you before charging! Their is no sign of atm fees either...

Serving size was great, had two burritos (Carne Asada and Chicken Fajita), but the Carne has no flavor and tons of grease coming out, and the chicken was okay but was also a grease-fest. Threw them out after a couple of bites and a ton of napkins.

Eh, burrito was pretty bad. I was excited at first because not many places have a chili relleno option for burritos. I love chili relleno/asada burrito. But man, this burrito had no flavor. They asked if I wanted to make it a "super burrito," which I guess is just adding guacamole and sour cream. On the side, they added it because it was only on one side. It actually tasted worse. The burrito literally had no flavor. I felt like the Mexican food in Wisconsin was more authentic. Service was really good, though. Great people but bad food.

Came here when it was Tortilla Flats months ago. Was given a 10%coupon with no expiration date. It is now California Burrito not even an authentic Mexican food place. Refused to honor coupon. Food was cold, and tasted like it came from the freezer section of a grocery store. Very disappointed and will not be back.

The manager asked a man who was eating food to leave. The man says "I'm eating food. I'm a paying customer." This man had a dirty shirt and is homeless. He was fully dressed and respectful. I heard the manager say to somebody about the homeless man, "he was here for like 3 hours". My point here is I myself was thinking of sitting in there for about two hours due to the heat outside . Im driving north at 4pm and is so hot and I have no ac. What is the difference between me and the man? The manager was wrong for doing this.

I told them im allergic to cheese it’s very important no cheese… they gave me someone else’s burrito and it had cheese im currently having an active allergic reaction and trying to get a refund and explaining I need to talk to a manager and they aren’t helping me and telling me I need to come back to get a refund so now im driving the 30 minutes back to them to get a refund. So now not only am I wasting gas while having a reaction to prove to them that they poisoned me but also wasting an hour and a half of my time! I’ve had to take 3 Benadryl to stop myself from throwing up more. Just got off the phone with the manager and she said maybe what im experiencing is from the spicinrss I said no I have a dairy allergy!! I’m not throwing up with swelling from spicy foods. How dare she try to minimize me like that! I’m going to be throwing up for hours because of their negligence! None of them cared that they poisoned me!

Tried this place and honestly won’t be back. Burrito was bland, poorly wrapped, and somehow managed to be both soggy and dry. Worst part? I paid $1.75 extra for sour cream and they didn’t even put it on. If you can’t get the basics right, why charge extra? Total letdown. There is a lot of good Mexican places in the area this isn't it.

LITERAlly old fries and hella beans…. Canned refried beans at that. And when I asked if the Jamaica was authentic or the powder mix. They lied. ITS POWDER MIX JAMAICA. TRASH…. the worst and driest burrito I have ever bitten into in America. I paid $20 for a burrito that was supposed to be a supreme asada with eggs potatoes and bacon added. LITERAlly old fries and hella beans…. Canned refried beans at that. And when I asked if the Jamaica was authentic or the powder mix. They lied. ITS POWDER MIX JAMAICA. Service was okay but as a human with morals and values don’t play with peoples money or food. I really wish I can post videos on this.

If you're Black, likely parked your truck across the street and wanted something local, don't bother. I ordered online and as always, added 15% tip. Order tracker said it was ready and I was there a couple minutes later. They didn't believe me or my phone. Cashier asked to hold my phone and walked away behind the counter and if I followed, it would've been a law enforcement matter. All that nonsense just because I wanted some fajitas and was Black at the same time.

If you want Mexican food, this place is not the place for you. Yet if you want just food like McDonald’s, this is the place for you, yet the price difference is day and night. The only real Mexican is the chips. But again if you are stoping by just because you have to have something in your stomach and McDonald’s is not you then this is the place for you. Enjoy.

Order the California burrito and the chips and guacamole, the burritos full of french fries hardly any cheese honestly not a good combination, guacamole was absolutely watery never had anything like this before and it will be the last expensive and absolutely disappointed. Just make plain burritos don't try to fancy it up cuz it tastes like crap make a dish taste it before you go and sell it go to a taco truck and learn from them

Tried this place and honestly won’t be back. Burrito was bland, poorly wrapped, and somehow managed to be both soggy and dry. Worst part? I paid $1.75 extra for sour cream and they didn’t even put it on. If you can’t get the basics right, why charge extra? Total letdown. There is a lot of good Mexican places in the area this isn't it.
