The coffee sucks
Good taste
(This rating is for: VAN DAM "EXPRESS" DELI) This humble looking but exquisitely yummy delicious edible diner is best in all of Sunnyside Queens! Their coffee is cravingly compellingly delicious, as well as captivating savoring that you will come back again, again and make it your daily routine! In my opinion, their coffee out beat Starbucks hand down! It's really very good. You will be a believer too. Furthermore, each day they work so hard (about 5:00 am) to give you something so mouthwatering for that day that you MUST come back again, again... They have brisket-of-beef that will have you sucking your fingertips clean!!! And I mean deliciously CLEAN! I never would have thought that this humble looking spot would have such yummy tastes delights! But There are close on Sundays :( Now, here is a little personal advice from me their customer with my two little dogs that I come their two get my coffee.... Get here before the "Truckers" and the "Profession drivers" get there! Because when these "Truckers" or the Professional Drivers arrived these guys are more hungry than a bunch of buffaloes and locust! They clean out everything that was prepared that day...Everything by 1:30 or 2 pm! You know hungry men don't play around with their food. I hope that find this my customer opinion to be accurate and make this a favorite place to buy your coffee... The coffee is very good especially with half/half. And guess what... They are Chinese...and their coffee is Fabulous!!! So much better than Starbucks it might be hard to believe, but it's true.... I could just drink their coffee all day and not even think about food. This is the truth!
New owners did a great job changing up the whole store Much better food and service with tables also for seating
Great sandwiches, fair prices, and hot food aswell. Lunch specials. Cold beer.
Very clean and a wonderful staff. The food was AMAZING
Excellent food at really reasonable prices. You can buy meal with a drink for less than $6 and be full. I would recommend to anyone. They are some of the friendliest people you will meet throughout your day. No minimum with ordering out and delivery is free.

Very quick service
Food is good but the place is a dump mold on the walls
Best coffee! And great service
Good quick service. Reasonable $
Good for quick bite
Price update: The Bomb is now $9.50. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up because I see older prices in the photos so I don't want people to see those and get confused. I was just there last week so my info is pretty up to date. Either way it's still totally worth it as the sandwich weighs quite a few pounds all by itself. I made a rookie mistake, and I was really hungry and I forgot to take a pic of our sandwiches but I assure you they were huge. They also have big bags of chips for $2 and they stock the butter pretzels that I love. The line and wait took a while but it was well worth it. They had at least 5 guys working behind the counter and they were all super busy. All the meats are top quality. The bread tastes pretty fresh, not exactly straight out of the oven fresh but we did arrive towards the later part of the afternoon so it was probably sitting around for a while. One hero from this place could easily feed four people, especially the bomb because its excessively loaded with so many toppings. They have a really good variety of meats, easily equivalent to what they stock at a full service supermarket deli. If I am in the area I will definitely be back!

Don't order their salty grill chicken which is also used in their grilled chicken salad. IT'S TOO DAMN SALTY! Also the fried rice sucks.

The last time I was here and a frequent customer when I owned a business across the street and that was over 15 years ago. This place made the best sandwiches and I till this day always recommended this place to who ever was in the neighborhood. Unfortunately today was a hit below the belt and I would have never expected. The food or sandwich that I always ordered was terrible. I didn't say anything because I didn't know all the new people in there. I hope this was just bad timing. But when you have a new face in your store, you would want to make a good impression. For now on ,I will not recommend this place. Eat here at your own risk...

Place is filthy dirty. The chef is overwhelmed and makes mistakes way to often. It’s amazing they are still in business.
The food, service &prices are great. But everything in this place is filthy the refrigerator the walls the floor ceiling even the lids on the soda cans. but if you take your food to go or get it delivered you'll be just fine.
