Unassuming but underrated stall inside the Market Street Food Hall. Offering excellent value for money Japanese casual dining especially for Los Altos.

Very excited to have a ramen spot in Los Altos! I've visited a few times now, and I find both styles of ramen to be delicious. It is not listed on the menu, but you can order extra noodles. The base price is on the expensive side - even relative to other ramen spots in the area - but I'll continue to eat here regularly. I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the State Street Market coming back. As of May 15, 2023, the bar is still not open, there are no sports on the TVs or the projector, and Orenchi is one of only two restaurants available. The ice cream spot and Little Sky Bakery are open, but what was once a lively spot has been eerily quiet the last few times I've visited.

We were so excited to try vegan ramen at this restaurant. This restaurant is inside the state street market food court. And we weren't disappointed ! Ramen came with good portion and it was tasty & filling. We also got the vegan gyoza and it was delicious. Its a bit on the expensive side but it was worth it. We will definitely go back whenever we get cravings for ramen !

Amazing ramen in Los Altos! This is one of the vendors in State Street Market and it did not disappoint. I tried the spicy ramen which was just the right amount of spicy for me, very filling and you won't be hungry after. Would recommend it if you are in the area!

One of the best broth ever. Creamy, spicy miso with the perfect egg is just the type of ramen we needed in the Bay Area.

Wow, just had the Chirashi bowl and was expecting average quality fish at best.. only to be pleasantly surprised by some of the freshest and flavorful sashimi I’ve ever had Will definitely be back! Hope the quality is like this all the time!

Ramen is salty, savory, and a full meal. State Street Market is a noisy, upscale, food court. Somewhat better when you can sit outside.

Orenchi at State Street Market offers a happening communal hall vibe that is perfect for a social meal. The atmosphere is energetic and modern, serving up favorites like Takoyaki, Gyoza, and Chicken Karaage that arrive hot, crispy, and full of flavor. For a heartier meal, the Chicken Katsu Curry and their signature Ramen Bowls provide a deeply savory and appetizing experience. Dietary preferences are well-handled here, featuring a good vegan option that doesn't sacrifice depth of flavor. The vegan broth remains rich and satisfying, ensuring that plant-based diners get the same high-quality, steaming-hot bowl as everyone else at the table. The primary drawback is the cost. Between the Los Altos location and the trendy food hall setting, prices are steep; a full meal with a side and drink can easily feel overpriced for a casual setting. It is a premium price point for a high-energy, "self-service" style environment.

Not bas for a food court dish. The taste was well-seasoned, but the kid’s plain ramen was quite disappointed. I knew it was plain, but y could at least have some chopped scallions. Also, when we ordered, these were no more Japanese special eggs on that day, and it was only mid day.

Orenchi Los Altos location has many of the popular dishes as their original Santa Clara location. Located inside the food hall of State Street Market. Tonkatsu ramen really hit the spot, the tonkatsu broth has a wonderful rich pork flavor with a hint of smokeyness. The ramen noodles themselves were good with a medium firmness. The slice of tonkatsu was a nice fatty piece that added to the overall flavor, I do wish they provide more than one slice. The softboiled egg for me was a little over cooked in the middle but had the right flavor. Overall the tonkatsu broth and the noodles were solid, and will definitely go back.

Sushi/ramen place located in a plaza. The place is quite busy in the evening and finding a parking spot is definitely a challenge. Sushi is on the fresh side, but definitely not on par with some other sushi place given the price.

i thought the sushi wasn’t all that fresh bit it still was good. the unagi was a bit dry for some reason other than that it wasn’t bad. my son devoured the ramen noodles. he also thought the sushi was so-so

I got the chicken curry ramen, to-go. There was a lot of noodle, only one thin slice of chicken. The to-go packaging is lacking. Apparently, the container of soup was not sealed. I lost some of the soup while driving. I lost a lot more when the paper bag gave out.

Way too expensive! $20 for a regular tonkotsu ramen with few meat. This is definitely not worth the money. Any ramen store can do better than this (just pick one e.g. Marufuku Ramen).

Got the Orenchi ramen and it was pretty meh. I think Shin instant ramen is better. The chashu was not great and the broth was meh. They text you when your order is ready but it doesn’t always go through, my food was sitting on the counter for 5 mins before I went up and checked on my order. They also don’t serve water which is the bare minimum they should be doing.

1.) their curry could use some vegetables. 2.) the chicken kaarage bowl is a huge bowl of curry and rice and then two tiny pieces of chicken. They cut back on the chicken??? Wayy to sparse.

Orenchi used to be my favorite ramen restaurant 10 years ago , but Santa Clara location is not test good anymore . Now they open Los Altos location, so I think I should go try again . Unfortunately, the location is also terrible. The soup is very bland and the noodles are overcooked and soft. It’s not worth the $18 price.

Both deep fried appetizers were fried crisp, and looked great. Unlike a lot of ramen places that pan fry them greasy, we appreciated the deep fried pork gyoza. They do taste a tad cheap, like frozen bulk dumplings. The thin shaved red onion and scallions were a nice touch. Chicken karaage suffered the same issue as Konjoe and Little Blue Door. Poorly prepped chicken, so some bites were chewy and tough instead of crispy fried skin/meat. Fat not properly rendered in some areas, but not as bad as wrestling to get a bite. It smelled and looked a little burnt, and had a bitter taste. We know it's a soft open, so they are working out the kinks, but the cherry tomatoes, and shishito could have been fresher.

Definitely would not go back. While the food was decent, it gave both me and my friend who shared it food poisoning. The staff weren’t necessarily rude but I’d definitely say they weren’t friendly either. Ordered the ramen and takoyaki. The ramen was pretty good but the takoyaki had too much sauce and tasted frozen and cheap. Definitely not worth the money in my opinion.

I love Orenchi's original establishment and wanted to try their new location in Los Altos. I'm not sure when this opened, but the process of making ramen was long drawn out here. It took 30 minutes for them to get an Orenchi Ramen out. There were no modifications to this. The guys making the ramen decided not to process orders by first in and first out. Instead, they grouped all the spicy ramen first and made a big batch to church out... Everyone behind me that ordered spicy got their order first. I watched dozens of people after me get their meals. Please let customers know how you process orders as this was the most ridiculous wait time ever and makes zero sense... Or maybe just pull the original ramen off the menu and offer only one item if that's all the guys in the back want to make. Also the quality and flavor here is lacking unlike the Santa Clara location.
