One of my absolute favorite places, been coming for years. The only place around to get authentic Baltic food. Service is always amazing, like you were eating at your Baba's (Grandma's) house. As long as Aroma is around I will continue to support them. Thank you for always taking care of my family. Zivjeli

Best food in Los Angeles if you like Turkish influenced food or grew up in Balkans area of South Eastern Europe. Balkan Burger (Chevapi) headlines the show and Sarma (minced meat wrapped in cabbage) is the next star. They also have Greek souvlaki (if Im not mistaken) and make regular, American style sandwiches and salads. All in all, good place for a family lunch or dinner.

When we get a Chance we like to come eat her for Balkan food. Everything tastes great. Service is always very polite and friendly. Price is low mid range but the quality of food is excellent.

service was great. ❤️ The guy at the front is very attentive and kind. We really enjoyed the Kebapi, apple dessert, baklava and Turkish coffee. There is also a variety of Ajvar and other Mediterranean/balkan foods available.

Good to have a place in LA with Balkan / Bosnian food! I eat Cevapi with onion! Really enjoyed! Also there is a small store inside so you can buy some products from former Yugoslavia - they are little bit expensive! I attached the menu - May 2025.

Bosnian restaurant with homey vibes. Came here for dinner with a friend as we wanted to try something different, and I’ve had this place bookmarked. We split a plate of grilled veggies (the full size is good for two) and the combo plate. We opted for the mix of 10 cevapi, 1 beef patty, and 2 shish kebabs but you can also get 30 cevapi instead. The cevapi were these little rolls of beef and were absolutely delicious; those were my fave. We had a side of warm pita bread to accompany the meat, and it was a great hearty combo. For dessert, we split a tufahiya because it sounded cool. It’s essentially a peeled apple with a walnut paste inside and a light syrup outside of it. It’s not too sweet (the walnut paste was not seeet at all) and it was interesting to look it. The waitress was nice and there seemed to be a lot of locals that go here. There’s a small free parking lot in the front. Credit cards are accepted.

Delicious food. Great service. Especially loved the Sarma, the Cevapi & the meat Borek. It’s traditional Eastern European food. Family owned originally from Bosnia. The Sarma reminded me of my moms Romanian cooking, in Romanian Sarmale: stuffed cabbage leaves with seasoned ground beef perfection, just like my mom used to make them. The cevapi in Romanian mici - perfection. Tiny Eastern European Kafka kebabs , seasoned to perfection. The meat borek - DELICIOUS. The place is welcoming & relaxing , like a neighborhood coffee shop in Europe. The Baklava & Kefir, like everything else is made in house from scratch. DELICIOUS!

As Runner Up Miss Slovene National Benefit Society 2025 and secretary of the Slovene National Benefit Society of San Francisco, I hold Slovenian food near and dear to my heart. It is not every day that you can walk into a restaurant on the West Coast to find Slovenian food so I made it a point to make it to this restaurant on my trip to LA area! This place certainly did NOT disappoint and was wonderful. I got the ćevapi, which many Slovenians know as ČEVAPČIČI. This traditional dish is often quite difficult to get right as it is often easy to make too oily, but this was great! Excellent portion size, reasonable prices, friendly staff, clean. I will be recommending this place to other Slovenians visiting the area! odlično

Aroma Café is one of my favorite restaurants to visit. The place is very clean and tidy, there is always a place where you can sit and eat inside and outside. The food is amazing, love the food. I would go with Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Cevapi, and Sarma. :) The employees are very friendly/helpful. Hard workers they are since the place is always on schedule. :)

Aroma Cafe, a Mediterranean restaurant and cafe, is a hidden gem that offers a delightful culinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor is warm and elegant, with comfortable seating and a welcoming vibe. I decided to try their cafe mocha and cappuccino, and both exceeded my expectations. The cafe mocha was rich and creamy, with the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate flavors. It was a comforting and indulgent treat. The cappuccino, on the other hand, was expertly crafted with a smooth, velvety texture and a robust coffee flavor that was simply delightful. But the highlight of my visit was the Spinach Pita. This dish was an absolute revelation. The pita bread was fresh and perfectly baked, while the spinach filling was seasoned to perfection, with a wonderful blend of herbs and spices. It was light yet satisfying, and every bite was a burst of Mediterranean flavors.

This restaurant offers a delightful blend of Bosnian and Macedonian cuisine. The cured meats were sliced expertly and the kabobs were juicy, served with warm, fluffy bread. The red bell pepper spread added a burst of flavor. I enjoyed the tomato salad but wished for more cheese. The small store inside offers food items for purchase. The owners and servers are friendly and accommodating, adding a personal touch to the experience. If you crave authentic Bosnian and Macedonian flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit.

New staff and still astonishly friendly, as accommodating as can be and the food is good-- though 1/3 more the price and 1/3 less the portions. The former $10 lamb kebabs (2) with salad and roasted vegetables or potatoes is now $15.50 and has one kabob. Still filling enough for a meal + take some home and delicious! And no bread with it these days either. I was with a vegetarian and there were very few options because the dishes that require long cooking have ground meat already in them. Also, we had rhetorically asked, "how can grilled potatoes not be wonderful?" Well they were not: pale and charred and overcooked. The roasted veggies are still my favorite in town. Also, the interior no longer has the decor with trellis and looks stark, which doesn't matter when there are customers in it. Still the same wonderful, homey food cooked to order. Happy to see it survived the pandemic although the owner is no longer with us. His widow is still behind the stove, cooking dishes to order. so it is not fast service food by any means! This little "hole-in-the-wall" cozy place got us coming back for their off-the-menu whole fish and now for the kabob or veggie plates that can also include grilled veggies instead of the salad and rice for an extra cost. Stylish Turkish coffee service is available. Balkan flat bread remains a paleo dilemma : "Lepinja" a softer, still crispy outside, focaccia sort.. and with Kaymak (cheese butter spread on request, now for $1 extra cost, and $14 for a tin to purchase). We used to come here for the extraordinary service alone, which always intelligent, efficient, heartfelt and accommodating. Current newcomer servers are friendly and still learning the ropes. The "grocery" section and refrigerated product counter seem to be more fully stocked and organized.

Aroma Café is a small, family-owned Mediterranean café in West Los Angeles that has been part of the local community since 2004. The place has a cozy, almost European feel, with a small outdoor terrace that makes you forget for a moment that you’re in LA. The food is Mediterranean-style, simple and homey rather than fancy. Portions are medium-sized, and the average check is around $25–30 per person. The dishes don’t try to impress with presentation or complex flavors, but they feel fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and comforting — like homemade food, which is exactly what makes this place charming. You can really feel that everything is made to order, whether it’s coffee or a salad, which adds to the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Another nice and unexpected detail is a small section inside the café where you can find products from Bosnia, giving the place even more character and authenticity. Overall, Aroma Café is about atmosphere, warmth, and a sense of simplicity rather than culinary surprises. It’s a lovely spot if you’re in the mood for something casual, cozy, and genuinely local. Overall rating: 4 out of 5 There are a few minor imperfections, but they don’t take away from the overall experience.

Lovely experience, great service, and tasty food. We got a shopska salat and sarmi and they were delicious. The sarmi / stuffed cabbage rolls were nice; the flavor wasn’t extraordinary but it was still very satisfying. The salad was fresh and big - perfect for sharing. We got some aryan and it was exactly as I remembered living in Bulgaria. The meal came with some delicious bread that was wrapped in tin foil to keep it warm. They have a little store inside the restaurant; we decided to buy some chocolates and they were the perfect dessert. Definitely recommend going to this location, great experience.

Very cozy and cool place with nice food from balkan. Everything was tasty and we didn't wait that long. Server was really cool and helpful 👌 I give it a 4 🌟 only because it was a bit expensive, compared to other places I visited across USA. But still very good place and i would recommend to anyone 😊

The food was amazing the best cevapi in that area. The server was great respectfull friendly man. But there was 2 bosnians there that just would not stop staring at us. When we arrived his eyes almost popped out of his face and they just kept staring while we ate. Not the best thing to do makes me not wanna come back

The food was good but sadly too dry. They Served a meat ( ground beef ) sandwich with only meat inside, no sides no sauce absolutely nothing other than grilled meat patties inside a dry pita and charge $18.50 was a bit shocking and chocking for me. Plus the meat tasted really good so that was a shame, I wish they would work more on it cause it really got potential. Ps: there’s a little cute market area where you can buy imported Mediterranean foods like coffee, biscottis and more.

The portion was incredibly small—honestly, I don’t even think you'd consider it a child’s meal. For $17, I expected more than just 2 ounces of meat and a very small scoop of rice. They only gave me one small skewer of ground beef, which is disappointing compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants I’ve been to over the years, where they usually serve at least two skewers. I would’ve been happy to pay a few extra bucks for a second skewer if it was an option. They really should offer it for those who want a fuller meal. The rice was dry and lacked flavor, and the meat was tough. Even though it was ground, the texture was off. The two stars are really for the salad—it was fresh and flavorful, the only part of the meal I’d consider going back for. Beyond that, though, it wasn’t worth it. I ended up finishing my dinner at Chick-fil-A, the only place open on New Year’s Eve. On top of that, the people outside smoking were basically acting like extras in a spy movie—staring at you when you walk in, walk out, or even sit in your car. It made the whole thing feel like a weird reality show I didn’t sign up for.

The $20 shish kebab (plate) wasn't flavorful, the small portion left me quite hungry which added to my overall disappointment. My wife felt the same with the chicken kebab plate.
